so i find my self needing help on how to get cargo

so since the update i found i cant kill the vega cargos and when im hitting base,s i don,t get enough res, maybe through the defender not having res but that's not my fault, so just wondering if any 1 has some tips for me as if i cant get res there's no point in playing....

    seems like your not the only one now absolutely awful the nerf on harriers, now there useless

    agreed since last night I dont have the cargo to do anything not a ship, upgrade or research going on in my base i played maybe an hour after update trying to figure a way, been on this morning about 45 minutes trying get res. Even the longbow is moving slower and cant kill fleet fast enough with the less damage so i get targeted. 

    anyone has a way let me know because this hitting then repair then relaunch then hit then repair.............. is not for me and I can definetly see a great handful of people walking away

    I'm off I don't have the desire nor frustration time to hit salvs

    yeah i seen this turn from a good game to another BP type game - a game that feels more like work than fun

    this game was not meant for us to take out 30's-40's after just a few days of playing hahah. dont know why people complain. just go for the lower Cargo . planet Cargo's :)
    BP can take anything out by lvl 20 with preds thats only like a day or 2 works, i couldnt even do a 15 earlier using the same tactic as before

    Destrudo, simply continue and adapt...they are still tactics and some ships like the longbow even got a boost

    I just destroyed a WHOLE 35 With my 6 harriers.....and lost 1 harriers..... ...They need to nerf it more... lmao!

    I just adapted Flo's technique and i can take a salv with 10sec repair, or sometimes loose the hole fleet but that's life :)

    Harriers are FAR from useless. I'm still using them in base attacks just fine. Longbows to kill lasers and Harriers to dodge kill the gauss. I have hauled millions from people the past couple days.

    I know that the Harrier use in FvF just went down a tad, particularly in the realm of cheaply killing the most badass fleets around. But there are more ways to get loot. Not just Vega fleets.

    Yes, that would be the best option! :)

    At first when I received the update I was extremely frustrated, none of my fleets could reach anywhere near its previous performance level and I couldn't get the hang of something as basic as taking a 20... always ending up with only a few longbows left. However, after some progression it seems the update was for the best, though I do not agree it may have been the best way to balance vega cargo looting, as one can still do it easily via strafing but takes longer, the problem of lag that proceeded was fixed by morning, something unheard of in most kixeye games... hope that kind of efficiency carries over in open beta and after the game just enters its normal phases.

    I grind out level 20 salvs fairly quickly. I use 5 longbows and a harrier. The longbows just sit in a line formation and never move while the harrier baits the other ships while the longbows destroy them. I usually only have a 30 sec to 2 min repair which is free. I also have another fleet on hand to pick up the leftover res. Works like a charm until I can kill 30s.

    I have a better way: 5 Corvettes and 1 Harrier - all with railguns.

    Send the Harrier away and use the Corvettes to destroy the Genesis and Rancor. Then send the Vettes away and turn the Harrier back in to deal with the Longbows. If timed right you don't waste a lot of time. NO DAMAGE if done properly. And if done wrong, only a couple Vettes need repairs and they are ultra cheap.
    I don't play much anymore =(

    My technique only ever takes 2 minutes for any cargo and if I don't screw up I never take damage on any planetary cargo of any level (haven't confirmed with Antimatter tho). And with a guarantee that repairs will be cheap and under 5 mins it is awesome. So yeah it might be a tad longer, but the spawn of cargo fleets is around 2-3 minutes so it is perfect timing to be done in such an amount of time.

    And with the easy kill 40s I don't see the need to care suddenly =(

      I also use longbows for the back line but use cruisers for the front, because they have (comparatively) more space for armor and shields. They only dodge about 2/3 salvos, but if you are careful to avoid Rancor broadside you can get away with shield damage which is free and zero to 1 minute repairs, meaning I can take 3 L20 cargos with minimal damage (rush fix).

      I am going to refit my Rancors soon to be exclusively cargo carriers as they are useless for me who don't raid bases as a resource main - they are damned near useless as fvf.

      Unlocking Torps really shifted the balance of power from 10 minute repairs to under 1.

      I did tons of tests, with 1 longbow, to try and determine repair times, so I'd get the best configuration for me - the most versatile hitters that will not bankrupt me if I lose them. I thought I hit butter zone with 3 cruisers for baiting and 3 longbows with heavy shielding for tanking, but after hours of tests I realized that longbow/torp is really, really heavy hitting so I don't need more baiters. I'm going to replace some cruisers with more longbows, either in a 4/2 configuration or even a 5/1, but I like to keep things versatile and having a backup baiter is nice when there is no end attack.

      Most things simply pop open before they get into range, cruisers included, the longbows simply need a bit of distraction as they are really thin and easy to pop, and the Rancor is the only one that gets 2 shots off with 3 LongTorp. All I have to do is dodge them.

    After yesterdays update...Harrier Frigates will take half damage up against #1 fleet on auto.  That aint even right!

    And you can forget a level 5 resource fleet with Harrier Frigates....1 ship left, on auto.

    I do 20's with 1 genesis with scatter missiles 3 on them thats it kill a 20 in under 2 min by circling it like hitting a cargo in BP with missilesif I stuff up only got a insta repair to do

    You sure about that because my repairs for ships with Torps is HIGHER than ships with Railguns. Case and point: my 6 Harrier fleet for sector Vegas would only take 8 mins for all 6 ships with Railguns only. Now each ship takes more than 4 mins to repair with a Torp and Railgun.
