How much is compensated?

Has anyone had their account reset? how much were you compensated?

i know i worked very hard getting to lvl 25, with lvl 7 buildings, several exodus, and all useful research done.

do we get gld equal to the construction time? or the construction times and research times? what about the countless resources needed for these upgrades? I spent most of last week opening vegas for the resources, i don't particularly want to do that again.

If anyone has had their account reset then please share with us how much "coin compensation" they gave you.

i asked to reset but true i lost near 2 week of game and each day is

3x24 h research (naval + special + weapon) = 144 gold

24 h upgrade building : 48 gold

24h : ship building : 48 gold

total : 240 gold / day

then 2 week of game should be compensated by >3000 gold (without ressource)

i will see how much i will have ;-)

yeah, i'd probably have something similar.

but then its different for everyone. different people have made different levels of progress. i'm just curious on how they can evaluate how much each person should get.

based on lvl/xp? add up the time on constructed buildings(if they even know what we had anymore).

I just really hope they compensate us appropriately, so we can get back in the game roughly where we left off so we can continue striving to be on the cutting edge. otherwise it's like joining a board-game half way through the game, not quite the same.

I guess we just have to wait and see how this turns out, we'll have to leave our final judgments till we see how they decide to compensate us.

Lol....Remember that this is a Beta version and we have not spent money, therefore I believe that it is not possible to demand them so much, and do not believe that we all play 24 hours to this great game, only it is an opinion nothing more ^^

for me the fun of starting at the very start of the game is to test my strategy against my peers. see who has the best strategy. being knocked back a couple of weeks takes a bit of that element out of the game. its no longer a level playing field then. we're just tallying the coins required to catch up to where we were previously in the game, so we'll still be on a similar level as we were before. just to figure out what our progress would be worth in terms of coins.

Anyway, we will all have to wait and see how kixeye handles this and what "the effected users will be compensated in gold for their lost time" really means .

you dont need to be playing 24x7 to have things almost constantly building/researching if you time things right

Same as me LAch, lvl25 nearly turning lvl26.

We are testing here, boost us like 1k gold so we can get back up to where we left off testing.

Technically we should b given more of an advantage because we were the ones who stumbled across this bug testing, like we are supposed to. Everyone likes to do something new, but to repeat what we done, knowing if reset before open beta means 3 times we play from the start on some game, no offense, but that hardly holds peoples attention spans.

you should only get a couple of hundred IMO you have only used 250 max so thats the minimum you should get compensated as you will get 50 gold every 5 lvls which will lv you up pretty quick

yes it would suck if you got reset, yes it would be infuriating..... but as far as compensation goes... if kixeye gives you any at all thats more they they have to or should give you.

you signed up for the beta and they provided you with free coins. i know you didnt sign up to go get "so far" and then get reset but in the same breath kixeye doesnt own compensation no more than the schools pay teachers more if they deal with the spawn of twit parents (they signed up to teach not deal with little brats)

i know raptor but the fact is that i spent sadly yes i know 2 weeks playing non stop. if i get reset i wont be able to that much so to get back to that lvl will take a while. then i spent another 2 going on 3 weeks building from there. i would say i out at least 48hrs into this game of me being on. thats 48hrs of my life wasted. so i mean if we dont get enough compensation then i personally wont be playing much which will piss me off cause i like this game a lot.

I don't mind that much that I'm getting reset with some bonus gold. Why?

We've really only been playing a few weeks to a month. So it's really not that much of a set back.

There are many players that have been playing longer than that and are still at a low level. So I won't be alone as I build back up.

The higher level players that have progressed well can't touch me while I build back up.

I have the advantage of building up once, so I know what I want to build/research first.

I have the advantage of having learned a few different attack strategies to get good vega cargo with minimal effort. So know exactly what is worth researching early to maximize resource gathering.

All in all, it won't take as long to get to the same level second time round as it did the first.

I joined this game fully understanding the closed beta concept. Ya, it sucks I lost my base. But I thank kixeye for the opportunity to take part, and look forward to building up again.

Did no one read the disclaimers when you came in? This is a closed beta, they can reset the whole game for everyone at any time if they need to, and we get nothing. If you don't like that arrangement, then don't beta test.

Also remeber when reset with the gold, you will most likely get the 50 gold per 5 levels so its not to shabby from my end.

Wish they would jsut wipe the accounts it shouldnt be that hard. think maybe they collect data of who for ags then run a program that will run through it automatically, less work there end which is less cost that they wont get back initally since still beta

I built up to level 20 slightly quicker on my 2nd play than my 1st because, as has been said, I knew what to do and how to do it. I had 49 gold left from hitting level 20 2nd time around and after filling in the form I now have 249 gold.

Should Kix let me keep all of this after the reset and if I still get 50 per 5 levels I wont have to spend a single coin until I reach level 17-18 and then I should be able to hammer through a half dozen levels easily.

Guess we'll see soon enough.

That makes great sense. The coins are used to accelerate time so basing the amount on the total possible amount of time is a great solution to our problem.

This is a very dubious way of working out amount of gold.

While i believe it would be possible to be upgrading building almost constantly for 2 weeks, research and ship building you could not.

For 1 you have to stop research in the building that you are upgrading, also i found that there were times that i had nothing to research in at least 1 or 2 buildings while i was prioritising other buildings such as ship yard and repair bay.

Also i don't believe for a moment that for the first 2 weeks of play you were constantly building ships. The early ships don't take very long to build and unless you were getting up in the night every few hours this wouldn't happen.

I'm not saying that you shouldn't get a fair chunk of gold but 3000 would be excessive. If used properly i believe you would within a few days of intense playing be able to get to a far higher lvl than before you were reset.

I am having the problem of the invisible base but I get updates for things that have finished researching, I can't see if I got 50 gold for going from lvl 19 to 20 but will wait and see. Other players say they can see the gold in the account when looking at Planet or Sector but the only things I see are the comms.

CM Dan I don't understand why the install date should be relative to how much you decide to compensate players.

I am awaiting a reset myself but as you know I have already had problems with my whole account being reset. Some people worked harder than others to get where they were no matter when they started.

Although I understand you don't need to hand out gold at all, it is a nice gesture, however having to reach the same level for the 3rd time in almost as many weeks really sucks.

i think rather the opposite because this is closed and no money can b used y not give us the proper number of coins. it doesn't cost them a cent (win) makes us happier which means more likely to spend money when it goes open (win) and we save time (win). it would be a win-win no one would lose anything and no one has anything to complain about.

You leave out the possibilty f them giving us not enough to reach where we were, so we do different things, which increases chance/angle of us finding a bug, which is win for them also, and a win for us to on some levels.

^^ Took the words right out of my mouth.... fingers? anyway I have only been playing a couple days and just lost base after the maintenance last night, so Im waiting for chance to fix my mistakes from first time around.

not really win win.... they don't necessarily win from this as some people may quit(i know i'm still a bit undecided if i'll rebuild again). i don't think they are looking to "win" by having this happen, i think they are just trying to sort things out as fast as possible and in a way that everyone will be happy

Both yous speak of certainty when i try and show more angles to what yous say.

If we reset, take different path cause lack of coins and find another bug. Kixeye win cause more bugs they fix the better, players win as a whole because its less for someone else to encounter, or even take advantage of. Thats the win win i hinted at on earlier post.

Like i said, many different paths to take, more travelled more found

BTW, i havent seen anyone higher of level than me getting reset, so i lose the most lol im 40k exp off lvl26 and when this upgrade finishes on storage to lvl7/8 i think i will prob hit 26. Considering mine been gone since Thursday night, yeah loads progress lost.

My personal angle is lack of decent feedback we getting, everything else is running as it should be for a closed beta. Accept the fact someone decided to launch an update on the friday before holiday weekend lol He would be off my Christmas card list for sure!
