New idea for entering a planet

I am not sure how feasible this is but it occurred to me that since we have space ships why do we have to use a teleport to leave and enter the surface of a planet, so i wondered if they could change this so when you came into a planets your fleet streaks across the upper atmosphere and comes down in a fire ball like a meteor only to suddenly stop where you told the fleet to go and when we leave a planet for the fleet to boost straight upwards out of eyesight then you got to sector view and see it pop out. 

Just an idea thought i would share i did raise it in comms and seemed to go down well just not sure how easy or hard that would be for you to implement.

    1. its gonna be annoying every time you enter that happens.
    2. maybe some people comp cant handle that kind of animation.
    3. That is time consuming especially when i wrap out and in of my planet to get my cargo floating around.

    1, as annoying as having to wait for the portal to open?
    2, good point
    3, it takes about 5 seconds for the portal to open and go through so i am only suggesting it takes the same time. Going your fleet shoots straight up, incoming the fleet flys down and stops abruptly 5 seconds of animation each way

    I just think it would look cooler is all, like i said not sure if its feasibly you make a good point about peoples rubbish pc's

    It would be sweet but not my favorite idea.  Id prefer it just be predictable when you hit a base to know where you will enter but thats just me.

    na cause then u can camp it when some one is coming after u right when they enter u hit them idk i like random. CHAOS IS GREAT.

    i didn't say change that its just instead of having a glowing portal open where you click, the ship would streak though the sky and stop where you clicked

    I think it's not a bad idea, but there's so much more important stuff right now for the Kixeye devs to work on...

    Its not a lot different than the animation used for the new teleporting towers in BP. So should be easy to implement and I doubt people's computers would have any more difficulty displaying it.

    yeah but still its cool fast n isn't broken. If it broken don't f*** with it ain't.
