    Defense definitely needs a boost. This would open up new base designs; great idea. :)

    Kind of wondering what the people voting "no" think. Any particular reason why it would be a bad idea? Or is it just the people who gratuitously post "second shipyard!" into every single thread? (Which by the way is counterproductive - it's not going to get us a second shipyard and all it does is annoy everyone else, including people who agree with you.)

    very nice will give us more options and some more wiggle room to play with, will help strengthen our base a little better, with all these new ships constantly coming out to defend against. Although I like the halo option, I would like to see something done to help defend against the double reload of dread x mortars...turrets just melt under their fire.

    If we get this which would b great could we please have some base save slots as this wll open up a new playing field but we wouldnt wanot to lose th designs tht seem to wrk nw

    I agree completely; this would also free up 9 tiles on my current design. This could have serious repercussions on game balance if not thought through very carefully. What about this:

    maybe however, I am sure people would use a blitz fleet on that base.

    I'm sure they would; I knocked this up in 2 minutes - other people will make better. The point is that it'll come to a point where blitz will be the only option.

    Great idea... any chance you can push the base boundries out a bit also .. so we can be more creative with the extra land?

    Or do you have a new building in mind - like a school to make my Captians smarter so fleets move turn and fire faster with less damage?

    I think this may be a good idea. yet i am also aware that a number of people will say no because they think it will make it harder for them to hit bases. Oh Well, Thank you Kixeye for asking us what we think

    One thing that would help is if we could save more than 2 designs. I have 2 I like and when I want to look at a new one It would be nice if I could save it as well.

    Nice to see we are asked our opinion on this esp since we were not asked about the recent update. But does there seriously need to be a poll for a week to ask people if they want more land? For heavens sake just click the start button right now so we can have a happy Thanksgiving!!!

    Yes, it would be great to see different layouts. It's getting rather boring as all bases are the same (if defending well) and if anyone is creative in the current format, are nothing more than a neat farm.

    i think if you are freeing up more tiles to use, you might need to give us more space to use them in as my base is currently on the boundries in every corner, is this going to happen? cause if not theres not really much point having the extra tiles

    I myself would prefer a second shipyard for doing refits. The amount of changes that have to be made now do to the new weapon systems mean every ship will need arefit to make use of the advancements. One shipyard does not cover it. Give me a new shipyard instead. ----RWS-LYCAN

    This change, if implemented, would create a whole new generation of bases.
    The effect of this would be similar to giving us more land and more space. I already have a new design about half done.
    I voted yes, mostly because I am approaching Level Farmty, and I think I could have an easier time defending. On the flipside, my farms will get harder too.

    From the Kixeye approach, bases defenses would improve with this, so they could introduce the 10 weapon ship.
    Quit Spring 2015 or so, returned Jan 2019.

    Greetings Captains,

    We wanted to get some feedback on adjustment for the Base Planner. Currently, players are unable to place land tiles diagonally from another land tile, regardless if it creates a narrow channel or not. The proposed change would allow players to place land tiles in a diagonal chain as long as it does not create a narrow channel (the Invalid base would be possible under the proposed change). Let us know what you think.

    why in pic 2 has there been some certain VALID land tile placements been flagged up as invalid the ones in the centre part for instance
     Doggy style + laptop on her back = sex and Battle pirates (disclaimers do try this it does end well, can result in causing allot of pleasure

    Corner to corner doesn't register as connected.
    Effectively remove the land tile between them and you'll see why it's showing as red.
    The one in between is not creating a narrow channel with those on either side of it so doesn't show up as invalid.
