SISTER ALLIANCE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED, only those within in 1 allance should get the protection of that alliance, not no bullshit alliance friends, crap.
100+ not be a sector, we have 103 members, tis not ther whole sector, but our alliance has been going a long long time, has grown slowly but includes many. People move to our sector and stay because they like ther only 2 rules we have, 1.Keep comms clean and 2. Have fun. Makes for a happy sector and makes people want to be part of an alliance that is interested in the game, not ego.
Alliances breed gang mentality, they travel from sector to sector bullying and praying on the weak. Its a shame that insecure people are allowed to ban together and behave like schoolyard bullies in a game that has the potential to be great. The abuse they inflict on the weak in comms is so unbelievable. I had to literally tell one group that's only a game and they weren't beating me up for real. Shame on all of the participants in these virtual gangs.

I like being in an alliance and want it built into the game. But it is very true that some of these alliances have morons that have to run their mouths like high school bullies.... Its not the alliance that is the problem its the 20 and 30 something year old children that are in some of these alliances. Really the only way around this is the ignore button.
KIXEYE If you make an ingame alliance feature don't try to limit the member size, however do make features like;
- "message of the day"
- shared Alliance base controlled by the leader
- where members can donate or pickup resources,
- The Leader can use resources to build strong defences,
- and members can defend against multi player attacks from other alliances, (maybe depending on the alliance base level)
- add a relocate option to move the alliance base to any sector and give members a relocate option near alliance base.
- Don't forget a voting system to remove an inactive alliance leader (maybe after 45 days inactivity).
- A rank system that will allow other player to recruit new members or kick - (no only the leader).
And please keep it simple/stupid.... only add the option that will work - we have enough glitches in the game.

It would be nice to have an alliance feature. But I'm not in an alliance and don't plan on joining one atm. So I hope you don't make it mandatory to have to join an alliance.
I believe adding an alliance feature to this game will ruin it. Requiring one to be in an alliance eliminates the freedom of the game. If you will not be required to be in an alliance and choose to be solo it would be impossible to do anything without being pummeled every time you come unbubbled.
moppin Kixeye isnt requiring anyone to join an alliance. Stop whining about it. There are going to be alliances in the game regardless of whether there is a Alliance feature in the game or not. So yeah either way you are going to face that ever issue you just complained about.
I do like the idea of a more formalized "alliance" structure... make sure there is some sort of visual marker added to fleets and bases, that would be cool
100 limit...its up to the host if how many he will add. because if you go below 100 it gonna be a problem later on,... as if the player growing bigger.
and dont forget the FLAG of the base........
I think it depends on the HOW.........Alliance with max 50 members is enough but there must be a possibility to add friendly alliances for War i think that would make everybody happy. Also the big alliances can spread in 2 alliances then. Sometimes we have fights with 100 vs 100 but but then 2 different allinaces join togeter and fight vs 3 others for example. I think it's better to give us a freindly alliance feature and a max alliance size of 50 Player think that would be the solution for everyone.
with all the bullsh*t rules and sea police in the sectors why the hell would you even think of alliance feature? just because you have the feature in another game that you have don't mean you have to have it in all your games. P.S. it would be nice to have the game fixed first before you add anything else. (i.e. glitches)

I am not in an alliance yet, it is something I have been wanting to get into but with out a game system for it they trend to not be organized well. Here is my opinion on the subject though. In my experience playing all kinds of different types of games on many different platforms, the biggest thing I see that works is an unlimited alliance. Let as many people join a alliance as want to. I know people say this is unfair to the little clan. To this I say you are wrong if you have a smaller alliance you have several options 1) join a bigger alliance 2) recruit more members 3) ally with other alliances. Next thing is people say a big alliance is to hard to control, to this I ask the question is the united states military to hard to control? No because there is pepper structure and leadership. Just because you can't lead a big group doesn't mean you should limit those who can. Something else I have seen and even seen kixeye respond to is the ability to be in multiple alliances, this should not be allowed at all. This means players could spy on rival alliances much easier with out having to go through the trouble of making alt accounts. Last is a proper ally/enemy system in which an ally alliance can not attack or can help defend an ally alliance member. Again these as just my opinions and thoughts.
DOA has 39 members and which 20 - 40 is a good number for a group. Anything more just makes the group weak as a whole (meaning around 100+). "Who is in your alliance?" "I don't really know, there are 130 here and I only know 19 of them, oh well"
