Strike Cruiser vs Super Fortress

I need about 40k to get the Strike Cruiser, and i guess i could within a few hours of repair manage to get the Super Fortress. Although the SF has a pretty nice turn speed, 1 more armor slot and a HUGE cargo, im still considdering the strike cruiser as i can ignore engine, and just go pure mortar on it. (-60% spread and +75% splash is epic)
My best ship till now is the Battleship, which is a very powerful ship. But does not suit to base hitting if you have a plan to grab some cargo.

So what should i choose? The SC or the SF. I plan on using either ship for base attacks.

    The SC is better then the SF
    I started in sector 247


    The sectors I been too 247, 352, 354, 16, 276, 415, 479


    The hulls won Destroyer, Destroyer X, LC's, LCX, BC, Juggs, and MC so far

    you should go for what you want more, a ship with ferocious attack capability (the SC) which can be used for both mort and blitz, or the SF which will allow you to take 38-40 mil from another players base?
    ever had  a problem where you log on and someone is hitting your base, and wanted to view the world map while it happens? try this.
    1/select leadersboard.
    2/select player's medals.
    3/select any player there.
    4/select "find base"
    that may or may not take you to world map.

    Super Fortress is pretty close to useless when compared with the Strike Cruiser.

    Strike Cruiser. Did you really need to ask? SFF is only useful for hauling cargo.
    So you want a new researchable hull?
    Or how about some better hulls from FMs?

    Yeah i chose the SC, just noticed 1 more special... It was far superiour to the SF. If the SF should have any means to compete, it should have 1 more special.

    So i just won the SC. :)

    Increased splash damage is the other great feature of the ship. Works well with both mortars and Siege Cannon S.

    Take the super fortress. Its the top prize! It will make Kixeye sad if you take the lesser prize and leave the shitzy one.

    I think the super fortress will be like a unicorn. You know its there but you will probably never see one.

    Well lets do a checklist for what you look for in base hitting hulls:

    *means it's better
    -worse of the two

    SC vs. SF

    * llCombat Speedll-
    * llTurn Speedll-
    * llEnhanced Capabilitiesll-
    - llCargo Holdll *

    Well the SC is obviously better so if you have it use it but if your the big looting kind of person then a fleet of super Fort's will not be so bad.

    I already saw one. They really need to buff the SF in some way maybe add 500% on salvages or like and extra special or weapon slot.

    super fortress looks tiny on map...how can that thing hold more than ff?

    SC is better over all I got the SF to replace my FF mules for my Dread X fleet wasnt interested in the halo turret and i had all the other prizes from previous raids

    thing is a not so superfortress would only be able to crack the crappiest of bases whereas a well built SC fleet can bust a bigger variety of them.

    Strike cruiser is for hitting 1 equal level base.
    Super fortress is for hitting several much lower level bases.

    SF will be like the Burns OmniNet. It sweeps the sea clean... or at least your opponents.

    This new "FF" is an example of kixeye's lack of creativity. SC is one of top 3 fleets in the game. I have all raid quota prizes, all bp's and all ships. go for SC
    the SF is a joke.. Its a "collectors item" for all the long time players

Yes they do. The SC is a better prize then the SF and the SF costed more. Therefore the SF needs to be buffed.
