Ok so my base should be vulnerable if i hit your fleets. Will your fleets appear next to my base for me to kill when you attack my base?
Too many hit bases and hide behind bubbles or Gollies.
Im very against buddy bubbling, ask anyone i my home sector. But i fail to see why bubbles and FvF should be linked.
Actually the fleets do. You have the same opportunity to catch my fleets as I do to catch your base unbubbled. It's fair and that is all anyone expects.
To me it boils down to those that want to FvF too afraid of being vulnerable while they cost people millions of res and hours of repair without consequences.

Rumseeker give me a break why should I suffer consequences for protecting a friend after my base has been attacked and yet you are saying as base hitters you shouldn't. And no I don't hide behind bubbles if I can catch you i will try and take you out and don't give me the whine about subs either. There are so many who have learnt the skills to get their base fleets away but why should this game revolve around base hitters it's called battle Pirates for a reason stop whining about your base fleets getting hit and play the game whether you are pirate hitting bases or pirate hitting fleets it should be fair to both.

Nope, not saying that at all Crystal. Basehitters run the risk of getting caught and hit just like everyone else, only now with this it means that those that choose to attack fleets run that same risk. Just our methods of retribution vary.
You choose to hit my base fleet and cost me the use of it for 14 hours and the loss of 10+ mill in res, that's fair. So I respond by hitting your base and costing you res and the loss of most things in your base for 4+ hours. It's fair, whether you choose to acknowledge it or not.
Problem is all these cry baby FvFers want to sit all snug in their carebear bubbles and hit fleets till they get tired of it and have no consequences fall back on them, except for that brief time when their bubble drops.
And it's not revolving around base hitters. Now you are trying to make it revolve around FvF by giving them something special. "Protection" from the consequences of their actions.
And I never whined about my fleets getting hit lol. Playing the game is what it is all about, fair and even for all.. you hit me, I should be able to hit you and vice versa.

First off nothing is going to stop buddy bubbles so I suggest you get use to it. Second of all a 1 hour bubble will not allow for a dock to repair. These new rules will only give an advantage to base hitters when it comes to preps. If a raid event occurs and someone wants to torture another player than can coin rockets and literally keep a player from participating. But since coining is business I don't see this changing anytime in the future since the only point of a raid event is to increase revenue for the company. I am in no way shape or form insulting kixeye. Everyone needs to understand kixeye is a company that needs to make money in order to stay in buisness.
I think that if you hit another base or fleet from another sector you shouldnt be able to rebubble for 72hrs. That way the bases or fleets can get even and you cant hide. That would be fair for everyone,even the coiners. think about it Kixeye.

Why not just give the **** dock it's own bubble, so when it receives 25% percent damage it has it's own little bubble inside the base.

id like to expand this idea of the bubble around the docks... maybe setup a proxy alarm around the docks. so when ships get into a certain range of the docks the bubble drops... this would stop bunker busters n rim jobs on docks every 4hrs.. but means docks can be destroyed if someone good enough to send fleets threw the base.....

- The time changes look good
- Easier change for the last proposal would be to link protection to dock damage;
01% - 33% damage = 1 hour
34% - 66% damage = 4 hours
above 66% = 8 hour
These times could be separate from base damage, so would be added to those times
If someone wanted protection for a bit to redesign their base for example, put your dock out for a friendly hit

This is a good idea. You can still Buddy Bubble, but it will be harder. As for worrying about your dock. Design your base so that it cannot be sniped and they will have to do at least 25% damage to your base to get at it. That is how my base is designed. There seems to be only 1 guy who can get my goodies right now anyway, but I still have a little upgrading to do. But I will soon have the proper fleets to hit him back....lol
This change needs to happen like now. There's 2 level 30's in my sector constantly talking trash and bubbling each other. Makes the whole sector look bad.

Just go get yourself one of those "hacking"programs that is supposedly available. They will quickly ban you, but it may be fun until you get caught.
Some of my friends and I who play Battle Pirates are concerned over the proposed
changes to damage protection. First let me say that I hate buddy bubbling. I feel that it
is pathetic. Why not remove the ability to buddy bubble altogether. Why keep a rule that
allows a certain number of entries to trigger a bubble of any amount? Many say the
need for buddy bubbles is because they are being picked on by higher level
players..that issue should resolve itself with the new level structure coming. I have
heard the concerns about certain buildings being sniped or rocketed repeatedly, but I do
not feel this warrants a 1 hour auto-bubble based on entries into a base. Those who
play this way will simply come back in 1 hour and snipe/rocket again. There are ways
around this....as you will see below in my suggested system.
Another concern with your proposed damage protection rules changes is that the
bubble length for %ʼs of damage have been lowered and would begin immediately
following the hit. Battle Pirates has a diverse group of players, from all over the world,
with all different kinds of schedules within which to play the game. If one was hit and

work for the day they would receive a 12 hour bubble. But if that player doesnʼt get back
online for 8 hours to hit repair they know have a base that would be severely crippled

Kixeye preaches teamwork and alliances.....however if my base is hit and I repair my
docks....I may still have over a day until my base is repaired. At the minimum I have
probably 8 hours left on my OP and around 2 hours on my turrets. I can salvage for a
bit, but then will be full again. Now what? I can no longer be a help to my team/alliance
in defending our turf, because if hit a fleet then my base is open and badly damaged
still. This will essentially put players out of the game for 6-12 hours every time they get
their base significantly hit. I have heard that this rule was proposed due to some living in
buddy bubbles while hitting fleets all day long. Eliminating buddy bubbles would prevent
this scenario and my proposal would give people wanting to abuse their bubble a limited
amount of time in which to do such a thing, besides getting hit by someone fvf, one
should be ready to fight. Only the losers are complaining that their better skilled
opponent is bubbled.
Why not go with a system like the one that follows;
No number of entries will auto-trigger a bubble.
Any attack on a base that yields 30% or more damage would result in an immediate
bubble. Once the player logs into his/her account and hits the repair button their base
would have a bubble for the duration of the time it takes to repair all buildings to 100%,
or until that player either uses coins to speed up their base to 100% health or until that
player attacks another playerʼs base, but NOT if they attack another playerʼs fleet.
Why can't Kixeye just make i so bases start to auto-repair after being attacked? That way he protection bubble length can remain short as they propose and players are not penalized for having to work or sleep. The base will always be repaird by the time the DP bubble drops.
They have already put this DP system into place...now it just needs tweeking.

Their conduct on the comms suck and they pick targets and keep on hitting them the second the bubble pops. What are you going to do about this? I recommend you prevent in sector attacks and make it sector vs sector only. Trust me sectors fight all the time.
I can handle getting nailed in combat, (cant wait for this new limit in levels to happen) but Kixeye needs an instant report option, type the player id in and it sends a report to a moderator. Mainly if the player is bullying people on comms you can get rid of it. I don't think Kixeye wants players quitting cause of idiots like that. costs kixeye money they could make and could give their game a bad rep. There could be a limit of reports you can file on a player in a day. One or two times per day could work. More work for kixeye, but if there is paying customers, it is worth it to them. I ask you to do this Kixeye, we need to nip this in the bud.

Omg ppl complaining about in sector attack's. That was a part of the game from the start, get over it. If you can get rid of the 10 plus 2 day bubble would be great, if anything change it to a 6 hour cool down period. That way everyone has a chance of getting even and the bb's feel they have something too.
