    Swag,

I like the idea behind the no more fast buddy-bubbling/frubbling/pansy-bubbling. However! Now your bubble pops if you hit a fleet?

Here's a Scenario - You base gets leveled 100% damage by a player that has taken you as their prime target / farm and you do not have the mean to fight back as a player 5 levels lower than they are. (Please, everyone, hear me out on this one.) You haven't gotten OP5 yet and haven't gotten DU4 so defending your base is a tad tough. Now, you are saying that if that player comes and hits one of your fleets while you are out regathering all those resources that you lost, and they hit your fleet, you thus become un-bubbled and therefore are their target once more since your base, which is still currently smoking and broken since its not been fully repaired. Thus leaving you a perma-farm with no way to gather reso while you are bubbled. Tell me... how many players are going to stay when they figure out that if your fleet gets engaged in an attack... you lose your bubble?

Unless of course, you guys program it to where it has to be you that starts the attack. Granted... It is you guys, so, I wouldn't put it past you to overlook it.

WOW, people read the original post, it says you have to initiate the attack.

No, YOU have to be the one that initiates combat. Someone attacking you will not pop the bubble.

    Yes it was.
Actually... that was never specified. One would think it would depend on who engages the attack, but, this is Kixeye we are talking about here.

they dont want you to get a free buddy bubble , when they can sell you one. the people running this game are running people out of the game because all they think about is how to make you buy everything. they are to greedy

Whereas I was going to agree with you, I got to the point of driving people out of the game and I had to reply with this -

The ending of Frubbling/Buddy Bubbling is something that Kixeye has finally listened to us, the players, about. Many of us players hate seeing neighboring sectors (for all you carebear sectors out there ;) ), or even our own sector (for all the in sector hitters I know of!) buddy bubbling just to avoid getting hit. Honestly, I am level 30 and I have never wanted to get my base hit so much in my entire year of playing battle pirates. Sure, my base may not hold up against every fleet yet, but, I still enjoy seeing where I can improve it.

If you don't like getting attacked, then as Swag says - Either join an alliance or move to a Sector where they do have as big of circle of in sector hitters (AKA - A Carebear Sector).
Or as I have come to say (much like many others) - If you keep getting bubbled, build a better base or relocate, but, either way quit whining. ^_^

I just want them to verify this part
at the end of an attack

Because as the post states it can be taken as cumulative or singularly.

Half the fun is building a base that is un-crackable, but how do you stop the griefing???

Keep the bubbling as it is now, and when you implement the alliance feature have a window come up saying:

"XXXX is a member of your alliance, you cannot attack this player"

    Buddy bubble solved.

Will taking away a bubble for hitting fleets only apply to the people with a 1 hr bubble or to anyone with a bubble?
Anyone with any time-length of bubble would be popped if you initiate combat against a rival player fleet or base.

This is the only thing I disagree with, the only time your bubble should pop when FVF is for the 1hr bubble. It would suck to get (25% to level'd) and only be able to play salvage/miner pirates, It would make me just click repair and leave.

That part will be the same as now, when your attack ends and do 25%+ total damage they will get a bubble

"When your attack ends" When you prep a base using 1 fleet, then kill the same base using a 2nd fleet, that is 2 separate attacks...

thats what I'm asking. yeah the 1st attack does 24%, the 2nd does the remaining 76%. giving the 36 hour bubble(or at least a 24)

Whats to stop a blitz fleet from entering on the south, targeting a wall on the north, where it rushes thru the whole base not firing at anything(its after the far wall), gets to the back, kills 4 WH's for under 25%, rinse and repeat??

That will really help to bring back fleet vs fleet battles LOL. For sub level 30 players who are easily farmed they should stop building fleet battle ships altogether because you'll never be able to use them except on salvages or raids. So if my base gets hit I can't do anything but salvage for 7 hours while waiting for turrets to repair,or even longer if waiting for rocket launcher or upgrades. I guess it really is salvageville.

I think this is a HUGE step in the right direction... There are many groups out there (especially in sector hitting groups) who rely heavily on getting hit so much that they will auto-bubble as soon as someone hits their base for a prep.. This is going to force them to fight on more even terms or rethink their game plan completely. I love it... This is something we have been asking for..Its good to see something positive.

At long last frubbling will not happen and people hiding under their bubble and sending out sub fleets to hit others will stop and make them fight like real pirates lol.
It is really great that the last 2 things that kixeye are going to introduce level structure and frubbling are so good for the game play and is actually what the players want and need.

SO KEEP UP THAT HARD WORK KIXEYE

    ps
can we find out earlier than usual what the new raid prizes will be

Have you ever ACTUALLY read through the Wishlist forum? Or do you just post how good the game is and kiss more kixeye **** in just News and Updates Forum? Because, most people didn't want a new level structure that allows anyone level 29+(current system) to be hit by players 40+ levels Higher than them (Proposed New System). Hell.. most people used to whine about the +/-5 level range when I started last year.

Now, MASS quantities of players DID want an end to frubble buddies.

Most players would like to see the game stop lagging, whitescreening (no matter how many times you fix Chrome it still happens to an alarming degree), glitching, and sorry to say it, but, a change back to the old graphics, but, most of those are mere pipe dreams when it comes to Kixeye.

Just looking for some clarification here... I read this to mean that IF you are under a # of attacks bubble you will lose your bubble NOT if you are still over a certain amount damaged.

Is this correct ? For example, if someone mashes my base ... and I still want to play for the 6 hours that it takes my guns to repair (realistically the 4 it takes for them to be good enough because I've gotten bored and want to go out and hit another base) am I still able to FvF at that point? Or am I restricted from playing the game at all until my bubble is ready to drop?

(please understand people, I'm not talking about no damage 8 hit bubbles, I'm talking about after my base has been broken)

PammyKins - It means that if you are hit (not taking much if any damage), say, 7 times and 1 more hit would give you a 1 hour bubble - you go out and retaliate against them - You now have to either get 25%+ damage or get hit another 8 times. It resets that 7 hits to 0.

Nothing to fix.. they can still buy them for up to 28 days. BUT if they attack ANY players fleet during that time they have just lost the coin and the bubble. No more fleet hitting from under a bubble.

No but he did say you lose your bubble if you attack another players fleet in the original post. Not sure how anybody would get "omg, i'm going to lose my bubble if someone hits my fleet!" out of that.

You don't even need a blitz fleet, as the M demonstrated hours after the Barracuda came out. Send a single sub in with Engine3, Batt3, Siege Cannon, and Armor to boost combat speed. Throw in GS3 and you can kiss your OP and WH good by with maybe 10% Damage.

Yea whatever people use, I was just explaining to the guy thats thinking that this tactic will suddenly become available when the new DP rules come out that it already happens with the current DP rules.

There's 2 things I'm a bit concerned about: 1) the bubble should last as long as it takes to repair the damage on the base...2) If you have a bubble and hit someones fleet by accident for example salving...your bubble goes down,,,,not right...maybe if you hit a guarding base fleet then yeah, let your bubble pop...but other wise it should stay as long as there's repairs going on.

Sounds good enough for me. But I still don't see the need in the 4th rule though.
Just one rocket every 4hrs will keep you out of the game so they only ever have to use one of those 8 attacks every 4hrs. So the rule seems pointless and therefore unneeded.

I have an idea to stop people cruising in with a gb firing a BB at the dock and then leaving:

That's where the player has to pay attention. If the player does not pay attention and hits a salv and don't LOOK to see if another player is nearby then they deserve to lose the bubble.

I really don't see how you think this will eliminate 'buddy bubbles'
A player merely lays more than 25% of his buildings in an area where they are clear of his turrets - mate comes in and smashes "more than 25% of base" - viola - instant bubbles.
I appreciate that you are attempting to do something about this - but it is a bit like pushing water UPHILL with a needle.

That's cool, now give the attack fleet option back.
