but does it not make sense from a money making stand point to just release all the quota prizes to the public? I mean coiners can complete blue prints with coin. everyone can now have the ability to collect bringing the game to further balance. I think they should be released in order of appearance. I only speak of the quota prizes and not the hulls cause i feel people really invested into getting them wither it was time or money. But the quota prizes were open to all. I just feel like the new underdogs need something to work on getting themselves as well as BP collectors like myself.

Even with the quota prizes as blueprints, ships such as the dreadnought make it very hard for non-owners of them to have an equal standing

There's no denying that they earnt the ships
But that doesnt meant that they shouldn't be released to the rest of the players in blueprint form (with 5% or 10% less resistance to missile, explosive, ballistic perhaps)

Then you should have put forth an efort to win the Dread, if you feel its that much of a game changer. Stop your crying, it was a contest, it was won in said contest. So get over it. As Swags said, everyone will get another shot at the Dread. So i suggest, when that shot comes, you put forth the efort to get it. But i'm sure most won't even really try. They will just start new threads crying about how unfair, they missed both chances at it. And whine, cry, and ****, saying it just not fair that we didn't want to put forth the efort to get it. We should get it, and all raid won hulls and items, just because we log on. Give me a **** break folks. This isn't first grade, and you don't all get a cookie. Grow the hell up!!!!
Shhh!!!!! Be wery, wery quiet. I'm hunting wabbits.

    Dreads this - Dreads that
    so what
they are not the perfect ships everyone makes them out to be.
There is not a ship design in this game that can not be taken out if you put some thought into a counter design.
And if it takes 2-3 lower level combat orientated ships sinking to kill a dread - so be it. Repair times are a sod for Dreads.
You meet a missle dread - cannon it.
You meet a thud dread - missle it - or sub it.
You meet a mortar dread - have laugh as just about any other combo ship kills it.
I dont have Dreads - see no need to have them - wouldnt spend well over a month building a single one.

I personally would like the battlecruiser. Know its small and outdated - but reckon can have some hilariuos fun with it

It does make perfect business sense to withhold the raid hulls, firstly the raids themselves generate the first batch of income for KIXEYE these people have plenty of spending power and they like to pay for the following during events.
    • Repairs during the raid event
    • Maybe even a healthy protection bubble
    • then then they like to rush the research
    • followed by rushing a new fleet of the new hull

This then makes these big spenders something to brag about and show off, there has got to be a perk to spending the cash you see. After this is all abused and the revenue slows down another raid prize boost the sales again. eventually they will release the hulls to the public. now these people will generate the second wave of income.

This has to timed correctly so that you don't annoy the big spenders too early after all you need those people spending as well, so a new raid will keep those happy, and finally as the game dies and income slows to a halt almost they reduce the prices and the third generation of spenders now get involved.

It's a bit like TV technology, at first the new 50"HDTV cost a fortune and most people convince themselfs not buy one and as time goes by the price is lowered to attract the next wallet size until finally everyone owns a HDTV and then they make a new TV.

So the answer to your question is yes it makes perfect business sense to withhold the raid hulls, but not forever.

Can't put it much better than that. Those of us that want the flashy toys either have to dig out our CC's or put some work into getting them when they are offered. I don't understand why all the constant crying about it.
Playing since Feb 2012.  Originally sector 304

I'm happy to hear that they will be released. Even thou there is no date confirmed I like knowing that in the future it is a possibility. I received a lot of the quota prizes already but no hulls yet. I like collecting blue prints just like in rpg games I go for 100 percent completion. I think I spend more time collecting bp's than actually attacking others. lol thanks for the quick response kixeye and just a side note. I loved the way the last raid was set up talk about progress.

You guys should release them soon cause most of the new player does not stand a chance against the older one.

ALL the revenge raid haul and quota prise should be released by now (i know we got the HH already).

Maybe you should make those bp in the drac op as this is where they should be build and makethem respawn like the salvage.

Lol, you should really listen to your own last sentence.
Dreads ARE game unbalancing. Regardless of how much you personally ONCE worked to have them. And you already by then knew releasing for future public was a chance, given that the HH had been released, so suck it up.
