btw pirates always use cheap tactics and do what they can to kill all their enemys so why not leave the attack button in?
There's a difference between "cheap" and "totally unable to defend against". Again, the way it was before required ZERO skill and there should be a small amount of skill involved.

Can I ask how much skill it takes a person to defeat a base defensive fleet that can't be launched due to other glitches, and can't be repaired coz of no res, and the player can't salvage coz of the same glitches as aforementioned? No skill IMO

BS their is skill in it you have to click vary fast to even get the fleet coming out cause they mosly double screen or refresh or just click map b4 timer ends and leave easly and i have lost a few sw fleets to base fleets coming out of bases they pinch me, or they monuver the ships right, or they have a missile fleet

I usually leave the battle 10 seconds before the end and I keep clicking recall fleet. There's no chance of me being caught now.
Exactly, if you do this you will never be caught even how quick you are. You just made it totally impossible to help within your sector. I guess there is no need to help out anymore, just hope that the base didn't get leveled. Nice update NOT.
why dont you fix the lag on your servers before making us be super fast at stuff. this is gonna destroy this game for anyone that ever thought about defending a friend or sector mate.
OK Swag
Answer this then
If a player attacks a base and bubbles that base - his fleet gains proections (at the right angle - which most know by now) how are we supposed to get a lock on it ??
i just finished watching a base attak - had a fleet outside to hit the attacker - pooped into map - kept getting the view battle option.
When the attacker had finished the base bubbled - his fleet was within the bubble and couldnt be locked on.
So question is - how we supposed to deal with this one ?
Coz all we get is view battle
What you should have done was get rid of the stupid popup screen that appears after every attack - it pretty obvious to the player how well he done anyway. That would have given him eough him to click away fast enough. I should know - i have practiced that enough times even with the stupid pop-up.
If i get caught out upon exit its my own **** fault for not reacting fast enough - dont want a game "fix" helping me out - bang goes half the challenge of base hits - getting away with it !!!
All you have done is encourage players to do excessive damage to ensure a bubble on their target - then they go free
I used to head in just enough to hit the WH and leave the player with dock and builds as much as poss - now i just need t hit for a bubble and go make a cup of coffee.

So, we can realistically expect an end to dock nuking soon too? please say yes, as this is also a case of no can defend. when a gb can appear in your base and drop a bunker buster on your dock, taking you out of play for an hour or more and you can do exactly nothing to stop it... nuff said?
If playing Battle Pirates taught me anything, it's:
You can please some people most of the time, and you can please most people some of the time, but you will never, ever be able to keep those bitchy little whiners who inhabit yours forums from having a cry about every single thing you ever do (or don't do).
This method has been removed because it requires zero skill. There was no defense against it and required no skill to accomplish...we even encourage players to show off your skillz.
I just decided to grow out my hair, and start a Harbin~Swagg hybrid look.

This is actually a good idea. Maybe it could be changed so that the pop-ups don't appear while you're in map view, but show up once you enter your base.

You should give them the attack back BUT give them a puzzle what changes every time in onder to unlock it soo they can attack maybe a rubix cube or a slide puzzle hahahahaha and needs skill to get to attack.
Great job on this one KE! I see a clearly divide between salvage_pirates who use cheap fleets to ninja base raiders, after they're already heavily damaged, and STILL think they can BRAG about it...
and real pirates, who raid bases, and loved this piece of the update!

Oh wow look at me, i can nuke your dock ... i'm really good at it seeing as it takes virtually no skill, only the brain power required to click in three places

your all upset because the update has been out for a day and its gettin ironing out of bubble and base fleets, patience, you really think they will let it ride?
They have a rep for quick fixing and listening to players, your providing 0 constructive feedback and are tearing up the boards over what?
a bug they are working on, go cry over the tax return delays this year, thats srs biz.

Dock nuking, as well as better playability, could easily be resolved by making dock repair quickr, say 30 minutes... then the buzzing flies would stop it, since it wouldn't be annoying anymore.
lil remark tho,, even that jumping a base fleets is cheap ( cheap is good ) and unfair ( yeh no skills needed) , but this new feature is affecting regulars battles too , so maybe keepin the new feature activated only in case of base attacks while regular fights still have the famous button .
anyway ,,, updates are always good, but some players need lotta time to digest

Since I'm unable to play the game I'll comment on which threads I like and if you don't like it there's a saying which has something to do with a long walk and a short pier
i think u just stopped us from being able to protect our sector. i think u will get alot complaints. being able to help our sector is the key. now we will have to say oh well cause we cant connect
It's still possible to ambush players, you just have to be really quick.
Disagree here Swag, I found that there is a TON of skill on behalf of the player doing to the base attack...I constantly was able to get away because of how quick I was coming out of a base. And yet have I nor any of my Pirate friends been able to catch anyone coming out of a base now. There is too much of a delay between when spectator mode disappears and attack appears, they are already gone. Love the updates tho, this part just fell short.

With the new update we introduced Spectator Mode. The new mode replaced the “Attack” button that was visible when a player clicked on a fleet that was attacking a base. This method was being used to ambush, or “ninja”, a fleet immediately after it attacked a base.
This method of hovering over the attack button while a player is attacking a base has been removed because it requires zero skill. A player that has finished attacking a base has to wait for the world map to load and close out the battle report screen, while a player attempting to “ninja” only had to click once to attack. There was no defense against it and required no skill to accomplish.
Players are still welcome to attempt to ambush a player after a base attack, but now the player that was attacking the base will have a fighting chance to escape. In fact we even encourage players to try to ambush other players to see how wicked fast you can be and show off your skillz.
Well now I know why KIXEYE keeps **** up the game so much. You guys don't know sweet **** all about your own game. Any good player in this game knows how to get away from the so called “ninja” attack after hitting a base or another fleet. Once again all you've done is cater to the unskilled players of the game.
There's a difference between "cheap" and "totally unable to defend against". Again, the way it was before required ZERO skill and there should be a small amount of skill involved.
i think it takes BALLS to jump a player leaving a base, and NO BALLS to NUKE A DOCK ... What if the player you jumped happens to be 5 levels higher with bigger teeth ? Then what ? You took the risk and pay the price, i agree there should be skill involved ... But hey, this is (or was) a pirates game, it was never about fairness and equality for all ... winners just take bigger risks, but that's just what i think

Don't focus on protecting your sector, it's not called Nanny Pirates, and there's a reason for that, start focusing on attacking other sector, paying them back, avenging your flattened mates. Battle is on!
You want to "protect" your sector? Get a raid goin' and invade the other sector. Kill everything in sight, miners, guards, etc. Someone got into a base? Big deal! Res's are so easy to come by anymore, just cry to someone to open salvages for you. Good lord!
Heads up! A FvF fight is NOT a sub fleet ninja'n a beat up base fleet on it's way out.

Lets not forget the ones where weapons don't tell us how much damage and that was intentional too and we were meant to play the guessing game. Lmfao

If you could remove the lag then it might be possible. But even under the old way it was very difficult to do. Not well thought out there boss.
