I dont like your arguement - I know Im not the only one that has had to mine countless hours when i first started in the game and up to the low 20's. There were no subs and hardly any lvl 7,8,9 salvages before the first raid. All the battle barges and Levis i first built were the result of a few base hits and a helluva lot of mining and repair time. Not sure why newer players think they are entitled to fast and easy resources when the rest of us had to put the time in. Managing it all was challenging especially when you had the higher players constantly trying to farm you.
for 1 people who don't coin needs a bit of help when higher levels who do coin farm them nonstop subs gets the lower levels res to help them build up to defend against higher levels so stop crying about subs instant repairs or stop farming the low levels so they can get stronger you take away sub instant repairs you take away their chance to get stronger and eventually people will stop playing i have left a lot of games cause they mess em up and you can say getting rid of instant repairs will not change ne thing ur wrong this game lags alot and i have to repair subs cause of the lag and im not gonna play if i can't repair and go back out to get more res and a lot of people will see it that way and soon enough kixeye will start seeing a lot of dead bases hell i see lots of dead bases already and know a bunch who have left this game i have had things happen to me on here like i build a ship and its gone but i don't complain to get facebook creds i go out and get more res or i have problems with fleets lagging and ending up dead i don't complain for creds i go out with my subs and get more res to keep building i have never asked for ne thing cause subs help me enough and now you will ruin that for me
How about we fix instant repair glitch before we go worrying about instant fix subs!
A buddy of mine who is into computers said that the instant repair glitch is not in the game code but has to do with servers getting confused; possibly the same way some players can occasionally lose ships and some players end up in perma-battles. bottom line is that it seems they cannot fix the glitch at this time; instead they can tell you not to do it and look at the logs (since according to my buddy the instant repair glitch, when it confuses the server, the server creates a log of the event) and determine by frequency who is abusing the glitch and who is accidentally causing their fleets to heal up. Then ban the ones who use the glitch frequently.
on thinking about it, why not just make repairing the subs more expensive? That way it cost half the price of building a new sub, then the incentive to use them as disposable is quenched without damaging game play terrifyingly.. Then again I'm sleep deprived and possibly insane

when dose this take effect as there was an update on the 23rd and i have seen no change to my game i have not even recived the pop up like my friends have ?????
Historically, subs are the cheap option for someone who cannot build the expensive ships to be competitive on the surface. The game accurately portrays both the impact of stealth and the frustration of big navies needing to deal with them. If the instant repair is really a server glitch, then adjusting the subs to make them crocked is not the solution. Subs cannot haul much resources, are limited by having a surface craft, and can be countered easily with tactics and missiles and boosters. If anything, the larger sub is crocked by being big and slow and having to carry surface weapons. I would prefer to have the more expensive sub to still have limited armor, maybe a single surface weapon, and more specials/torp slots. By more, I mean TWO specials and THREE torp slots with ONE deck weapon. It would be much deadlier (think engine + evasion) with a bigger punch.

The Predator Submarines currently have a base armor value of 80. This means that if Predators are not equipped with any additional armor and have small flagship, they can instant repair. After several months of seeing how the Predator is being used in combat, we feel that they should not be able to instant repair.
We will be buffing the base armor value of Predator Submarines to ensure that no fleet combination of 4 Predators + a small flagship will allow for an instant repair time.
same I crushed mine as soon as I built an SFB/Laser Wolf fleet seriously the Predator stands no chance against missiles equipped with missiles
What they NEED to do is improve the Stalker make it faster, make it turn quicker, make it stay down longer because at the moment it's pretty useless 90% of the time
Now this I agree with... The stalker sub needs improved. I only use the Preditor subs on salvages, so longer repair times don't really bother me. However, If they are going to keep the Stalker sub, they should make it useful. I was thinking if it was improved, it would make for a great base protector boat?

That is really hard to believe. It sounds the code just doesn't take good care with its data to maintain consistent records of damage received, or ships owned. It certainly doesn't sound like something they couldn't fix, although it's baffling that they haven't, since it would be lost revenue to them.

It's the transition from and to the local data and servers that causes the repair glitch to happen

What will happen to people that repair 1 AP and then stop and launch? 1 AP ships can fight nearly as well as any other ship so long as they are not shot at. Are you going to institute a minimum AP to launch a ship?
there already is one. if your ship does not have a certian hp then it says, "Repair your ship before attacking this"

Sounds like they could go a long way toward fixing it by simply sending 6 numbers, the fleet number and the amount of damage suffered by each ship, back to the servers on a more regular basis. That's certainly not impossible to do, and leaving data integrity loopholes lying around is a good way to invite hackers.

I am not 100% sure the how or the why, maybe limitations on memory etc as it's on FB...? Back on topic, what would stop/slow down the sub spamming opposed to the armour buff?

when is this gonna be working cuz me n ppl in my sector keep hittin ppl n they just keep bringing a dead wolf out with 2 subs and its the same fleet over n over n over again we are getting tired of it
It is a shame to see kixeye so concerned with making sure low level players cannot grow. Without subs I would still be a level 15 because ever since I got them I have used them to salvage. Battle barges are crap for salvages and so are marauders. It will take all day to open salvages with longboats and without the resources there is no way I will ever get any better ships. It's not like mining is safe because everyone knows mining is too dangerous. Right when you get your fleet full a high level player sinks your fleet and takes it all. I have been using fleets of battle barges and marauders to collect resources and subs to get them. Why is kixeye so mad at low level players that it wants to prohibit their growth?
An effort to force them to pay to get anywhere? There are many annoying factors about this game and the new policies are making it worse. The last time there was a raid the way it went in our sector was disgusting. All the prizes went to people from other sectors who moved here temporarily to get the prizes then left. For all these changes to work the range of high level players being able to attack low level players needs to be changed. I have personally had 30mil worth of salvage stolen by a player from the next sector within an hour or 2 of being ready to use it on an outpost upgrade. It took me nearly a week to recover and I had to live in a bubble to do that. Without a bubble protection or ability to use my subs as much as I like I will not be able to grow as a player. It took me a week to get 30mil of resources with instant repair subs, I lost it in 5 minutes and the bubble only lasted 17 hours. If this is kixeye's way of saying they are using too much bandwidth and want to run off some players I am certain it will work. I am already considering not playing anymore and the changes haven't hurt me yet. I'm sure all of the level30+ players love these changes because now they can farm the low level players constantly and the low level players cannot do anything to protect themself from it. Seriously what can a level 25 player do to a level30 player? if they spend all their fleets maybe they can cost them 30 minutes of repair time while they go back and spend 3 hours repairing.

Actually it would be fine without subs...to get res you would hit bases. That's the way the game used to be played. At level 20 or so you should just be farming those lower level bases. Subs are just something lower levels use to annoy the higher levels.

I don't like this very much because the preds were giving lower lvls a chance to fight bullies and get any type of salvages. I'm a lvl 30 me self. I do believe that subs are hard to control and have a huge learning curve. Higher lvls can use missiles and laser 3 to combat them easy enough. The preds just give lower ambitious levels a chance.
I'd also like to point out that most lower levels are probably not in these forums yet to proclaim their position.
Preds just gives them a chance to fight back and if that is wrong then i don't think its right.
Stop tweaking the game so much, it gets old. Create something, play test it and stick with it. Subs were great to keep CC players at bay by the weaker players. Oh yeah, I think I just hit the nail on the head...CC players were the worst whiners about subs and since they are ponying up, the rest of us have to suffer or at least accept that we are an after thought. It sucks to be cynical about everything, I know, but really?
Insta subs provided diversity in fleet building, now it is all sw or hh or whatever with missiles and boost3...boring. Without the insta repair, subs will stay largely on the shelf decreasing the different types of fleets on the seas and I am afraid will also impact the overall quality of the game.
Longboats with Havoc 2's can do the same thing> You can even put a little armor on them and they are still insta-repair. They are torpedo boats and are fun. Improvise, adapt, and overcome. That's all ya gotta do.

they can't get close enough normally, unless they are mugging a mining fleet of base fleet, the former needs range defence
Once No-Beard now HELLO-DS, yep that's me, my youtube channel here
hey i use them for fast repairs salvaging i mean they useless other wise cuz they slow. and your repair times suck i mean i love playing but when im repairing for 8hrs im not playing. lower the repair times for everything then make it more reasonable
I guess some people just have a problem with reading and comprehension.
The ONLY thing this update did was mean that a sub use could not turn around and immediately launch is sub fleet 20 seconds after it returned to base from being completely destroyed, be it thru Salv or attacking a regular fleet.
They now have to spend 6-7 minutes per sub in repairs so they have to wait. It does not in any way impede the usefulness of a sub by ANY level, low or high in taking out salvages or fleets. Subs are about the easiest thing out there to learn to use effectively and nothing has been taken away from there. This just limits their being abused as much. What it does mean if, if you want to abuse them then you have to wait or coin the repair. A big whopping 1 coin.
Stop your whining about something that has really not changed and get on with the game.

ah ah ah he didnt say individual shipscant instant so its still infinite marauders type situation so repair possible for a wole fleet in 30 second if really good with a mouse.
ps i use to drivefolks in 68 crazy with endless 5 marauder fleets
so they just slowing people down a bit not fixxing it

they need a better idea like offer depth charges to higher levels in adv lab and leave subs alone
you kixeye people really dont like us sub lovers
