Why would lower levels get a longer protection time? Higher lvl buildings and turrets take longer to repair. And even though there are a few people who coin bubbles, this is mainly to keep all the **** buddy bubblers at bay(say that 5 times fast!). I think this has been needed for a long time. Maybe now some of you will learn to man up and take the hit, it's be only way to learn and get better
I have no problem with taking a "hit" BUT without limits a "BULLY" can endlessly troll your researches/dock now
Regardless of what some may say, a buddy bubble is a viable tactic. If you are getting constantly hammer by players 4 and 5 levels above you and your base is 100% destroyed all that repairing has to be complete before you can actually learn from the attack and apply that in a redesign effort. Get caught in the middle of redesigning and lose more res to those higher level players and you are set back again. How are these people trying to learn, grow and get better supposed to gather the needed res plus research the better equipment AND redesign if they are constantly getting their base blasted.
I can see that a lot of these lower level players will get frustrated and quit the game and new people that do start playing wont get too far once the get to a point where they are in range of getting blasted to smoking holes by either those who visit from out of sector or the coiners or even those who will forever hack. Maybe KIXEYE should rethink rolling out more new features and put all their effort into getting the game stable, fix the known glitches and bugs as well as truly actively hunt down those that are either hacking or cheating in other forms.
As I see it now, as others have stated, this game is only going to be for the people that drop loads of cash in the game and all the free players will have no choice to either coin or quit. I am a level 31 and rarely have spent money, once for a name change and once when I actually had some "mad" money, $30, to help some of those hideously long research and upgrades those of us who have reached 30+ are subjected to.
All this is just my opinion so let the ranting begin from those of you who feel you must.
the 10 attack bubble, fair enough, but now you're actively encouraging high level players to continually bully those at the lower end of their range.
Someone said previously to leave the 4 attack bubble in place, but make it 2 hours from when you log on next.. I think that is the only way you will keep those players that either can't spend much or any money on this game interested in it. Being continually kept in their base, and having research delayed indefinitely will get tiresome and many who would spend some money will quit. Long researches like lvl10 buildings and FF/HH will be almost impossible to complete with the way setbacks work now.
The defending fleet is a good idea on the surface, but how about if there was an option for a 'trusted' player (maybe have 3 you can choose) to get an alert and send one of their fleets in to assist. The 5 either side would still apply to this person, but against the attackers level, not defenders. if no-one responds in a certain time period, or none of the selected players are online the home fleet will then take over.
Death to the 10 hit bubble is a good thing in the overall theme of the game, but I'm saddened at your lack of interest in those who just wish to grow, and your unfortunate siding with those who just want to bully people out of the game.
This is fixing half of one problem, and opening up a much worse one in the process.
I am fine with taking away the 2 day bubble there is some that abuse it. However when you get to the upper levels and it takes so many resources to upgrade, build ships, anything you do at my level takes 28 million of each resource so I want to know how we are going to be able to continue doing this. If you take away the protection then you need to lower the amount of resources and the time it takes to do them. When you get attacked any upgrade you are doing gets more time added to it so how is this fair to us loyal players that do not abuse the protection? please consider changing time and amount of resources so we can continue playing our favorite game...
only one concern if you take the bubbles i beleive you should narrow the range of bases one can hit from 5 up to 5 down to maybe 2 0r 3 in each direction so there attacking people who are built close to the same as them rather then just hitting people that are 5 levels lower
now this is a good ID getting rid of the buddy bobble!!! about time no more level 30-33 going to attack some one and then getting a buddy bobble so they dont get attacked.
ok I like . I do see a bulling problem starting. however this is why a good alliance would be nice to have instead of making enemies make friends. there needs to be a way though to bobble for redo of base or to protect then upgrades. oh ya the pay-fore bobble could do that.lol

Hell, if a lvl 20 can take out a 9 cargo, then why can't a lvl 30 take them out? My solution....No research should take longer than the maximum bubble time, docks should be imune from hits as you need fleets back out to get resources or follow the attackers home. If you have to wait 4 hours to repair your docks then thats lost time.....Repairs should auto start after any atatck not wait till you come back online. Research should only be suspended after attcks and can be resumed once building is rebuilt.... finally, The resources gained by an attacker should be relevent to size. If anyone attacks lower than them they should take a penalty in gained resources, same as attacking upwards to stop resource swapping (my warehouses are full, come and hit one, i'll put it on the edge) hear this alot....Just my initial thoughts...hope i get du4 before this happens.

Confused......It takes so long 8 or 10 days to research engine upgrade du3 du4 and other building projects.....how can this be done in a day and a half..unless we reduce research times, or increase bubble times.
This idea gives free rain to coiners. This will force players to coin repairs, upgrades and researches to complete anything. Great money making scam. Poor **** game play. We non-coiners will find another game to play and leave this game to the people that suck and need to coin. I hate bubble buddies but this screws all players. With no hit rule even us big boys will be **** on. All the little guys need to do is get 10 players to rocket the **** out of our docks that take hrs and hrs to repair. Bubble buddies suck, but we are all screwed by this!

Dreads isn't the problem, i can do everything a dreadnought fleet can do with my FFs fleet and even get much more resource. In my eyes FFs is still the best fleet you can have if you are a skilled player!
Maybe cut repair & upgrade times for lower levels to keep them interested

The lvl 25 (no matter how skilled) will get a really hard time, base fleets won't do much and will only increase the repair bill.
I would like a risk-reward system on top of the current base hitting rules.
If you hit 5 levels lower you should factor this in as follows:
- Attacker gets 5% less loot for each level below his own
> Lvl 30 hits lvl 35 = 100 - 5 * (30-25) = 75% loot
> Full FF fleet will then return with 21 Mil instead of 28 mil
We need some initiative to hit closer to your own level. This idea or another, doesn't matter.

all go to sleep, there is nothing to worry about, game is just fine, you just need to change all your settings to reduce lag a bit, offcourse all the new players will understand that and do that at once to play this wonderfull game.
I guess the only way to keep this from happening is only allow 2 attacks in a seven day period on a player. After 7 days expire on a player then you are free to hit that base again. This way a bubble is not really needed for that specific player to leave you alone. It will keep repeated attacks from happening.
The reason for 2 attacks is simple. If I enter a base and not see the opening I can then leave and reenter.

This is for the player that is worried about upgrading and not the player that hits a base than request a bubble. Just throw in a few rules:
You cannot get a bubble after you hit a base maybe 13 hours unless you have 25% done to your base.
Also, if dock or rocketlab is rocketed auto bubble. If its killed from weapons lab, auto bubble.

Dreads isn't the problem, i can do everything a dreadnought fleet can do with my FFs fleet and even get much more resource. In my eyes FFs is still the best fleet you can have if you are a skilled player!
