If subs are increased so should sw's they are only 8mins relair without armour and are a much more devestating fleet
SW can get shot down before they fire a shot if the enemy got a bad ship. Also they are the best ship for FvF and 8 minutes oer ship what makes 15 minutes to repair a fleet is much more than 0 minutes
Subs are great for the lower levels however if your a lvl 28 player using subs still then you need to rethink your game play in all honesty. SW's need repair and are much better than subs any day.... I was a big sub user till I got my sws. Personally having them not quick repair is nothing have a second fleet as back up there shouldn't be an issue.
to the lower levels complaining. They didn't say they were gonna make it a long repair. They said it wasn't going to be instant.
Even if they simply increase the repair time of 0 armour subs to 6 minutes each that will be a huge improvement. Players can still speed up their subs individually. So it will only take 1 minute each if don right. So all in all you're waiting 4 minutes total (only 4 subs per fleet possible) for your whole fleet to repair. Thats nothing to complain about.
IF you are hitting salvages (where you really shudnt be getting sunk anyways) then this won't affect you at all.
The only players it really affects are the abusers who spam them and sink them over and over and over again
The Predator Submarines currently have a base armor value of 80. This means that if Predators are not equipped with any additional armor and have small flagship, they can instant repair. After several months of seeing how the Predator is being used in combat, we feel that they should not be able to instant repair.
We will be buffing the base armor value of Predator Submarines to ensure that no fleet combination of 4 Predators + a small flagship will allow for an instant repair time.
Out of all of these topics, this one is by far the best. Make more subs people and ADD armor. Might as well take the hit on repair times

I havent used subs since the release of SFB, it is a shame subs now will not be instant repair anymore because of some players abusing them to grief other players...

What they NEED to do is improve the Stalker make it faster, make it turn quicker, make it stay down longer because at the moment it's pretty useless 90% of the time
Sounds like this was only done because of people whining about us destroying their fleets with our instant repair subs. So they whined for long enough to make you do something about it. So is this how the game will be controlled??? People whine about something long enough to get what they want??? Just like the hackers realizing if they pay Kixeye employees money they can stay and get away with what they have been doing.

Something needed to change. Adding more armor to them makes sense but so would adding tonnage to level 4 havok torpedoes. The small sub does the same damage as the big sub when submerged. If the small sub can fit engine3 and Du2 and two havok4's then it is no surprise it is too large to repair in 4 min. 6 min does "feel right".

Actually, if you read the OP, it says that fleets of a small flagship and 4 predator subs will not be instantly repairable. So, you take an extra minute and break the fleet apart still instant repair.
This buff needs to be so NO predator sub can be instant repaired PERIOD.
And when you have a fleet that takes 14 hours to repair, getting hit by predators, sinking them and your stuck with a 2 hour repair bill for it, then yes, preds should come with a higher repair bill too.

While you increase the repair time, also increase the resource cost of the repair. Let them feel true pain for their actions. Lower Levels should NOT be hitting the higher levels without consequences. And by this I mean a level 23 hitting a level 32 player.
Doesn't matter if my subs instant repair or not. If you know how to drive them, you don't get hit much any way. Besides... I don't fleet vs. fleet with subs... I use subs on Salvages only... So it don't matter to me either way.

If you use subs well, you shouldn't take damage against a salvage at any level, so I don't think this would change that too much. The buff will stop or at least slow the sub spammers though; I've had to face down upwards of 10 sub fleets with my SW because of the instant repairs.
If you are concerned about the usefulness of subs against salvages, I think whatever addition to the health of subs Kixeye does should offset the inability to instant repair... but that's just my 2 cents.
Now that is a thought. However, if you don't use subs for anything but Salvage... it doesn't matter... Only time I have ever used my Sub fleet in a Fleet to Fleet battle is against other subs... (my main boat has sonar).

This really won't stop the subs form being able to kill bigger fleets without damage. They'll still be able to submerge and be equipped with fairly damaging torpedoes and engines. So in a fight this does nothing. It seems like it might be an attempt at taking away the ability for smaller players to take salvages that should be beyond their means without having to upgrade the salvages and make it unnecessarily more difficult for those who have earned better ships. It really won't even do that, just make it take longer. All it really does is take away an annoying way for smaller players to defend themselves from bigger players who have better ships and really fast ships with engines and SFB really already went a long way to doing that. I see this change, really, as simply unnecessary and personally would rather things didn't get nerfed in ways that might eventually make yet another ship pointless to even build.
If it keeps going like that it will get back to the way that Sea Wolf thuds were the end all and be all of FvF. Personally, I find that boring, and I would like to see more variety in FvF.

U are incorrect, I am a level 34 and have lost 1 high level fleet to a subber, he had skills, my prob is all of the unskilled ones wasting five minutes of my time while running all over the screen trying to avoid their little subs being destroyed, they are a nuisance not a force to be reckoned with
I'm good with this, as long as the repair time isn't too long. Takes a bit of practice but the challenge is to take salvages without taking damage. I haven't had much luck against big fleets with human control, but I'm okay with that. I know where to pick my fights, and where to steer clear. I think with the weapons available for ships SW and up, subs are pretty much sitting ducks, but again, I'm fine with that too. I know if I want to beat the big boys, I need to build bigger ships.
Perhaps in exchange, Kixeye would allow 5 subs in a fleet without the necessity of a floating lead boat. The lead boat could be always above water during map travel, but I'd like to have a 5th useful boat during battle. This doesn't disadvantage the opponent anyway, because they will see what they are up against.

1. You don't take damage in salvages if you know what you're doing. So, no repair.
2. You only need to repair a sub for one (1) hit point to put it back out on the water.
