Damage Protection Rules Change

There are currently several ways that a player’s base can get temporary Damage Protection (a bubble over the base). Two of the ways that you can get Damage Protection is if your base is attacked 4 times in one hour, or 10 times within 24 hours. Unfortunately, players repeatedly “bubbling” each other are abusing this system.

We will be removing the rules of Damage Protection for when a base is attacked 4 times in one hour, or 10 times within 24 hours. Bases will only receive Damage Protection if it has received a certain percentage of damage to the buildings within a certain period of time.

This change will take effect in conjunction with the new Base Patrol Fleet Feature, which should help to prevent any of the possible negative effects of removing these damage protection rules.

    Alright great the finally no more bubble buddies but i am concerned how players will take advantage of this by constantly rocketing docks, or hitting outside researching or upgrading buildings.

    maybe also do that turrets need to be damaged because else you could just troll someones labs and RGs and put him in a bubble like this without getting damaged

    About time, now it will make people redo there base instead of hiding all the time

    Swag i really like this change of rules but we need to have a way to protect our research and upgrades, it would be too easy to a player to hit us many times killing our research, upgrade, and shipyard, set back 8 hours, come back after a while and keep on doing it. Maybe it's also time for a change of the time setback rule on research and upgrades?

    Any thoughts to changing parameters around dock rocketing, since it seems like many other base defense features are under review for change? Seems better to let people remain able to launch ships, even if they lose some resources, etc.

    For those who want to redesign their base, or who get rimmed often, I think you should keep the 1hr bubble regardless of damage. But I do agree than anything more than an hour needs to be done through damage or coin.

    nice way to force those who hit lvl 25 to coin up to 31......do you see more $$$$$$$ in your future kixeye?....i see more dead lvl 25-29s in the future...way to kill the fun for mid level players...

    Inside base protection fleets are going to be useless, they will get clobbered, especially if they are working in or near channels. If u set them to protect certain buildings, it will be ez to drop the mother load of mortars on the fleet and wipe it out. Peeps will quickly learn how to defeat in base fleets and they will be rendered useless just like protecting fleets now. Imagine using a fleet of subs to wipe out a defending fleet because it is stuck in its cone of protection.

    Have you guys gone through the reasoning behind why those no-damage bubbles were there in the first place? For example, the 4-hits one-hour was supposed to help prevent locking people inside their base. Will people be able to leave their base during a base hit?

    Are there any plans to change the bubbling rules for initiating an attack on another player's fleet?

    Not everyone can spend money on games , as far as i can tell this is just another scam to get us to cc much need bubbles when redesigning .

    and like i said, when your sfb fleet is in the channel protecting dock, and my lvl 38 base fleet rains hell down with 1 or 2 volleys on your lightly armored sfb wolves that are stuck in a channel around your dock, you'll lose 28 mill from my base hit, and them will have a 6 mil repair bill on those wolves after your dock repairs in 3 hrs.

    hiding in bubbles??..its called trying to grow..as a lvl 27 how do you think i can stop the same lvl 32 player from stealing 25 mill?? im just now starting to put in sent 4s..but a hammer fleet can skate right through..no lvl 25 -28 can stop the players that are 5 lvls ahead. once i get du4 it will be easier to defend...one thing i agree on is **** getting a buddy bubble after hitting a base...if anything eliminate the ability to get bubble after you hit a base. this is going to force all the high lvl players farms to quit or relocate..then youll **** about something else.

    Buddy Bubbles do tick me off when person attacks my base then runs home to his base being bubbled. But I dont cry about it. I go after person that did the bubble.
    I sink mining fleets and ships out side of base. But i also take base's of people doing the bubbles. I don't care how u change this part. But i don't see this plan will working
    with out more probs that people will cry about.

    Couple other thoughts after reading some of the comments:

    1. Putting a patrol fleet inside the base does nothing to prevent nukes.

    2. This is not going to eliminate all friendly bubbles. People will just go back to doing the 25%-damage 18-hour friendly bubbles.

    No bubble buddies means the hackers and cheaters will once again rule BP just ! more reason to be glad I am done with this game!

    will ppl still be aible to bye 30 day bubbles and if so why is it ok with cc but not for free.....
