Revenge raids aimed at Americans only?

Well done kixeye for starting the Base Raid when you did it started at 4.30 am on Sunday where i live since i have a life and a job i wont be playing it for 2 days while im at work so stand no chance of winning the hull so i will NOT be putting any credits in the game for this.

How about you really consider everybody around the world who plays this game instead of just Americans and next time have sectors available for different starting times you can relocate two according to where you live so as we all can have a good shot at winning over the weekend as well.

To all those who say this isnt fair to us well your quite welcome to relocate to those sectors if you wish but then if you have a life and a job you will have to put up with it being on during your work time like we do now

    Oh come on now.

    They could have started this event at any time and the same complaints could be made by someone else. If you don't like it, move to America where Kixeye is located.

    how would that work out, time zones are time zones im afraid, kixeye staff work aswell, i wouldnt want to work all day to be called back in threw the night to start the event for a certain country because in the past it started at 4:30am.

    They are located in the pacific time zone of the U.S. So it makes sense that they would start it when they would be in the office to fix any problems that arise.

    i was in the second wave when it started,

    for me it was saterday 7pm. i think it would be "more" fair if it was started a day earlier so "most ppl" could play the entire weekend (saterday and sunday)

    but then again like you said there will always be some that would have the disadvantage. currently only 7 ppl are battling in my sector for the top 4 places i hope they also get delayed like me due to RL lol.
    Counting down to August 28 2012 + 3 Days Headstart.
    My days at FB games are counted. Soon I will move on to the game I like as its entering its final stages of development and beta testing.
    Maybe if some FB games didnt hide behind the beta status my love for these games would still be here.

    Their headquarters and servers are in america. If you dont like it, dont play american made games. Enough said !

    hahahahaha yeah thet are only in on raids to fix stuff rest of the time MAJOR glitches just get left unsorted, and as for dont play american games grow up its not 0nly americans the nationality of programmaes isnt restricted to americans and even is it, it would be americans games designed on japanese chips, shipped by internationly by someone else so on and so forth and let face it america has to do it on their time table because they need the cash lol fighting a war isnt cheap you know ;)

    Very logical post.

    Besides, there's 3 days to play it, and many working people play when they get home - if they are decent enough of a level, then there isn't too much difficulty even killing on autopilot.

    Everyone is considered.

    It is an American company, so would you prefer they have launched it and then all gone home from work, leaving the game 110% unstable and unusable? - or would you rather they did it when they all came into work so they can work out all the bugs/problems that arised? (which was done)

    Battle Pirates is played all over the world. No matter what time we would start the event, it's going to be inconvenient for a few people.

    i work in hospitality business. 60% of our business are on weekend where ppl like you who work mon-fri 9-5 are enjoying their lives.. so im puking 12 hour shift every sat, sun so guys like you can have a nice weekend. i only get to play about 12 hours out of this raid and its if i get only 6hr sleep..
    and you dont see me complaining about raid times..

    So Swag.... you are saying that you don't want to start your work day at 3:00am just so someone else has a more convenient start time? That is just selfish man :p

    Having said all that, if you started it say 9am Friday PST - 9am Monday, the furthest timezone would be NZ where it would run 6am Saturday - 6am Tuesday. This would allow ALL timezones to have a full weekend to play.

    As it stands now, everyone west of Hawaii got at most 1 weekend day. Additionally, it would allow you to run a "normal" working day when the tournament starts.

    nah.. we need occasional even during week.. may be with some minor reward, bp for example. some people are willing to spend to win but the see no reason to do it on weekend if you can only attend 40% of the event..

    i have to agree, i am in australia so when kixeye starts saying that things are happening in a few days i have no idea when that is. still the point is, america is behind everyone else time wise, the worst time to base these events on because when they start on saturday its already sunday for the other half of the world. if you insist on starting in american time then start on friday, then it would be fairer.... p.s. swag please put this idea to your development team, its a terrible inconvenience to the majority of the world.... especially us australians

    This event started 10amCalifornia time. Meaning that Kixeye staff lost a weekend to pit this event on.

    Ok, consider this - an event that lasts 24 hours. Lets assume everyone sleeps 8 hours, and lump into that time all other breaks. So that leaves 16 hours to play the game. For purposes of this example, we will also assume you goto bed at midnight, and are up at 8am. All times are your timezone:

    Event starts at Midnight, sleep takes 8 hours then you have 16 to play.
    Event starts at 4am, sleep takes 4 hours, playing time 16 hours, sleep takes 4 hours

    Start time is irrelevant. The event is 4 days, everyone will have to sleep at some point.

    Well maybe not so much time but day u choose to start an event... Event starts on a satuday PST runs for 2 days (Full day Saturday, Full Day Sunday)
    Here raid starts Sunday... see the issue
    Either make an event long enough for everyone to have the same disadvantages (4days) or limit the raids to 24hrs
