I try and think my base out strategically but sadly if i add 2 - 4 flaks my base defense would be to low to keep out other fleets such as mortar fleets ...the addition to missiles have made base defenses obsolete and the addition of the 96 range it has made it very hard to come up with a solid design since you need to make more space on each side
I know paul recee doesn't like the @ design but really do we have to go back to block designs
I agree that there is a slight balance issue in favor of the attacker IF you have all of the advanced tech. We will be doing something about this though. Attacking should be harder for a very well though out base.

there is no stopping a siege missile fleet with the boosters... but if the CEO likes them then I doubt any changes will be made. Dont understand the use of bunkerbusters... that fleet when used by someone that knows what they are doing can pick apart any base. ... Im glad someone showed a vid that shows that flack against these missiles is just a waste of a platform...

the flack was designed to stop cutlass.. they do a good job of that..

How you create such a weapon so called Siege Missile with 900 poin damage to building while Sentinel do less than that to a ship and still have to deal with the Reactive Armor.and Why Hailstorm has more salvo than Victory Mortar with only half reload time???Seems to me the only hope for Victory to damage attacking ships only when they "Miss Fire" so the splash hit them.
Lol, the missile age will end eventually, people are definitely having fun with them. With the current design I have now, i have not had a single mortar fleet get in. (less than a mil from lvl 33 so yes I have everything maxed.) Then just the other day, I finally had my first serious missile fleet wreak my base, and I mean WREAKED my base, it took out every single platform I had, and took out all my WH and OP. I was very impressed so I decided it was time to add some flak guns and added two of them out of range of the missiles, hiding behind howies so u'd have to go through the howies before taking out the flaks. Today I had someone come in with a very very nice missile fleet. He got my OP and one WH and i still had 4 platforms standing. A step in the right direction, yes, but still pretty **** powerful considering they blasted through 2 flak guns (personally I think the flak guns are due for a little buff and that's really what I see the next step as, but that's just me.)
I'm not too worried about it and I'm def not gonna cry about it, it's just the flow of the game, one thing gets really powerful, then there is a counter, then there is a counter to the counter and so on. It's all part of the game. The only way to survive is to adapt and do your best to stay one step ahead.

I had not been online for the others.. well they guy was nice enough to leave my BBrockets and my radio tower... :crying: I would like to report that the radio tower works perfect! No issues there at all.:D

- first step: introduce blueprints for draconian defense weapons, so that bases with them are untakable. --> defense in advantage
- next step: due to untakable bases; introduction of the draconian dock, with much more fleet weight. --> attackers in advantage
- then: blueprints of draconian defense turrets; more armor and some cool specials --> defense in advantage
- ....
winners of that system: CC, hackers and CEOs of Kixeye
losers: people that start the game right no and think with what they can get in their research labs, they could do something
The rich get richer and the poor gets poorer. Each update creates a wider gap between the two. This game is going into the dumps like the european economy.

and you do realize that 100% of players lvl 25 and lower will never be affected if a Kixeye CEO has HH fleets with missiles and boosters and 94% of players within their level range will not lose a single resource to them either... a Kixeye CEO can't be a winner of that system.
