Connection issues in battle & map?
For the first time, it seems that I'm having some very strange issues with BP. This started happening about 27 hours ago when I encountered this yesterday morning around 8am my time. As of this post, it is now 11:15am. FYI, I'm in sector 235.
1) I can load BP and go into my base just fine. I can also collect from my RGs etc. However, when I try to go into map mode, it takes over 1 minute to show the map. The worst part is the battles. Whenever I hit a drac, it takes well over 20 seconds to join. On the odd occasion that I can join before the 20s timer is up, my ship would just spin around in circles and collide with the drac fleet without ever firing a shot. After another minute or so, it would just show some sort of "security error" and ask me to try reconnect. After reopening the game, I can see the battle has finished and my fleet is taken a lot of damage (they're all kiting type fleets).
2) I thought this was my computer so I have restarted my PC numerous times, tried both IE and chrome, cleared all cache and cookies on both browsers and restarted my wireless modem. Nothing has helped. I also have the latest Flash version on both browsers. Virus scans show nothing as well and I don't use a firewall.
3) My other flash games such as castleville and crime city are not having issues. They work fine. So does youtube, my online banking and every other site I go to. I'm running a ping to kixeye (ping www.kixeye.com -t -l 1) and it seems to be around 250-300ms with less than 2% packet loss.
Can anyone help me with any suggestions?

I am having the same problem like yours. It happened since 7th of January 8.00am (GMT +8)
SPT will be 4.00pm on the 6th of January.
I am from sector 110
It take a lot of time to load the map, and the worse is when I am engaging in a battle, it takes over 20 seconds to load into the battle screen. Worse, sometimes it just can't get into the battle screen or when I'm in the battle screen I see no ships. It is a real pain cause I could not kill higher level drac or get a higher level mine. The situation get worse till today.
