OPS 5 lvl 23

I've taken alot of advice from experienced players here and made several modifications. Please have a look and see what else I might do. I realize that I must upgrade walls, but can only do that as materials are available and am doing so as I can. Please comment on placement of defenses and buildings being defended.

    why are you lvl 23 with op 5? but not a bad base but you really do need ti platforms

    its still easily preppable...try to make with them a continos line or 2 lines where none directly touches the outside of the base

    Having all your Labs in the middle is wasting a minimum of 4 land blocks + the additional 2 you'd need to extend the 3-wide channel around it. So I suggest moving the labs somewhere smarter where you can waste only 3 land blocks instead of 4, and then have 4 more spare to work with. Use these to support your tower line a little better.

    I don't inderstand the "why am I op5 at lvl 23" because I can,, is there a reason not to be? Isn't bigger better?

    um not really, most people don't get op 5 until lvl 25-27

    I set it up where I would move the lab I was not using into a threaten area. I was under the impression that at my lvl that three blocks was all that could attacked me. Is that right or worng? With all respect,, please reply.

    3-wide is good, but you have too many land blocks in the middle, so it forces your 3-wide to go around more land. That extension costs you 2 blocks for each row you extend it. That is why most pro builders have the bare minimum buildings in the center - the OP and WHs. It makes the 3-wide channel go around less land so they can put blocks in other places.

    Yeah, I have to agree with curtis here. All of the blocks you have the Intel, Officer club & Acadamy on can be consolidated to an outer wall using less squares. Then you could narrow the channel on that side, gaining those blocks & it still be 3 wide on that side and you would still have room to rotate the labs out to where your Adv Lab is sitting.

    loose the 5th warehouse ull never need that much on any thing u build it is a waste

    I agree with Curtis also. You also need to sort out your priorities of protection, you shouldn't be looking at protecting your intel lab, great hall and war academy over your launch pad and hull lab. Rockets are great assets in attacking bases and the fact that you have OP5 at level 23 would suggest you must be slacking in some areas of research, so the last thing you need is a RG runner delaying your research and the launch pad takes ages to repair!

    Like Curtis said, it's best to put land tiles to better use to make entrance and gauntlet area more formidable and things like that.

    I think I have incorparated most of the suggested changes to good effect. See how it looks to you now. Still OPs at lvl 24 now.

    Uh.... 2-wide channel? That is 3 WHs for free to any attacker...

    The towers are all over the place. Complete lack of concentrated fire.

    You still have your labs in the center. Put them out on the edge. The less buildings you have in the center the smaller the surrounding gauntlet you need. But a minimum gauntlet width for anti-PM is 3 water tiles

    As shown is in for moving buildings around, there are extra land squares on the West corner which I remove and widen the channel on the NW side. I am still in the upgrade mode and use the labs almost constaintly is the reason for them being in the middle right now.

    You need to start to fortify your Oil Rigs so that people take more time blasting at them, while your turrets do the damage. One more thing, if you have the money to CC op5, why don`t you CC your turrets to lvl 3???

    Don't suggest that. Where the heck do you sail? Seriously. You do realize you can tell your ships where to fire right? Water buildings do not act as barricades.

    Yeah, at the lvl his rigs are it wouldn't matter anyhow. It's a waste of time he should use to get his labs to a respectable lvl for research & his turrets upgraded. Arguably, it could be considered a waste of time regardless.

    Quick fix:Put the launch pad where the weapons lab is
    Use the space your Hull lab is on for any lab doing an upgrade.
    Move the RG's by Intel & Academy out of the way, then move the Adv Lab & the Officers club next to those buildings.
    Take the land blocks they are sitting on now & move them to the back of the base to make that channel 3 wide or you can even just stick them on the outside of the base there to keep your warehouses from a freebie haul.
