Why do I have to create a new account? Why can't Kixeye roll existing forum accounts over to discord? Sounds like this is living up to the name and creating discord.

The only thought that went into this idea is we can save money by not hosting our own servers lets do it. No regard for players having to create a second account for this game on a platform that is widely disliked. The wide reaching changes made by this company on a regular basis are foolish because you anger large groups of the player base. The competition for a gamers time is fierce so it is easy to find another game with a different company to spend our time and money on. At some point kixeye must begin to take what we players want into account before there are none of us left.

I don't use discord. I really like how forum is set up. Why the F are you getting rid of forum. I already play less and buy less coin. Just another reason to quit playing. What trouble are you having with logging in? It shouldn't take any more than signing in with your created account and clicking on the server you wish to visit once you're on there. If you've not used it before you will need to create an account, and if you have tried previously but have lost your details or account you can reclaim it by clicking the "forgot your password" section. You can simply click the invitation in my Signature to gain easy access to the Discord server.

This forum is already a 3rd party. . . Combining Forums to Discord actually takes one out of the equation.
To be really honest, I don't want to sign into another browser AND site to find information I should be able to find on the game browser.
Sometimes I'm reading stuff here, I can go to the game, take a screenshot, clean it up on Paint, then quickly post it in Forums without messing around on another tab.
If I'm too long on another tab, the game will want refreshing

You lied about the 2 Tier 11 guard hulls (& the 1st was absolute TRASH) you pulled out this Tier 11.5 guard hull in the hopes of keeping people around "We didn't lie, see, we gave you the Komodo" but the T11 Conq upgrades are done, as soon as folks stop hitting bases because of the Komodo, you'll introduce the T12 Conq season.
Stop treating people like idiots with fat wallets. You wonder why the player base is what it is? It's because of that.

I've seen a lot of bonehead moves by kix in the 12 years I have played but this is right up there with the horrible graphics update which lasted what, 1 day! Your existing Discord Channel for chatting is a mess, I can just imagine what the "Forum" will look like.

hated discord at first. went back later when stuff allegedly got better on there. no complaints now it has been organised a tad better. it is a lot more useful than before and pretty much self explanatory, with plenty of help. the bs gets stopped a lot sooner for example. the advice needed and any questions get a close to instant response. why not give it a try.

Yes some may hate the set up, or the lag of the AP, etc, but in reality, they do not want to have to register to another platfrom that bombard them with advertisements from many other company that will flood there email account with hundreds of SPAM emails.

This will help the team (which from what i understand as been quite reduced as of late with many layoff in many department) and the mod better manage forum with fewer resources. And since every move/change/decision is contested by angry players (and from what i hear staff as well, well those that remain), they are getting flooded with angry post.
For me, this move is a small gain for the company/team, and a HUGE lost for the players (well those that remain). There is no WIN-WIN to this move, it is a WIN-LOSE or LOSE_LOSE scenario for them.
Making this move may allow them to manage there remaining games (since from what i read they wont be making any new ones), but it may lose them a SIGNIFICANT amount of players who wont be happy with this move and who will (for what ever personal reason) not create an account on Discord, not for this game or ANY other games. Trust me kixeye isnt the 1st (nor the last) to go the Discord way, and for good business reasons, tho bad ones to players.

Kixeye games have been put in a coffin since day one, right now what we are seeing is them digging the hole for this studios, aka them trying to max out the revenues to balance off the purchase price, then transfer any valuable resources to there head office or other studios, and then shut the goddam thing off.
That is basicly what is being hinted in the industry (past and current employees, medias and even competitors of Stillfront).

Guess only time will tell. Just be interesting from what people have mentioned, if you have an issue, how is it going to get picked up? If players are talking about BBQ's cars etc etc etc, how would my issue with lag be visible?
Your chances of concerns being seen are actually greater on DIscord than they are here as the game team are on Discord daily, whereas these forums rely on us moderators for the most part.

The forums aren't on Kixeye servers. As has been said several times now, the forums are currently using a 3rd party resource to run and host.

Where is the "support" page located?

You don't need to go anywhere else to see the posts made by Kixeye. Release notes, briefings, etc. They will be posted on the support site and will be accessible either by clicking the support button at the top of the forums, or by either of these links. The only thing that won't be here is the player made discussions.
i personally think this is a con to get personal information why else would they ask for telephone number this looks like the end of our once loved game

Kixeye games have been put in a coffin since day one, right now what we are seeing is them digging the hole for this studios, aka them trying to max out the revenues to balance off the purchase price, then transfer any valuable resources to there head office or other studios, and then shut the goddam thing off.
That is basicly what is being hinted in the industry (past and current employees, medias and even competitors of Stillfront).
HOPE that clears it off.
However, trying to look for the silver lining, with the forums being removed from their servers, lag shouldn't be an issue anymore....and if it is, it clearly isn't our computers that are at fault.
