DEVIN TOKENS

Devin is a must-have unit but he is absolutely useless until he reaches level five.  Currently the only way to get Devin tokens is in Showdown.  I have a mini account that allows me to empathize with low levels in this game.  In the last Showdown the base payouts were 120k for bases 1-3.  My mini couldn't get past base two. 

So let's do the math, Devin is 1.5 million xp. His tokens are 1million xp.  Getting him to level five requires 10 tokens.  So buying him and getting him to where he is actually useful requires 11.5 million xp.  That means, for low levels who can't beat Showdown base four, taking Showdown base one 96 times to get the Devin and his first two guards.  To get his health buff at level 6 requires taking Showdown base one another 50 times on top of that.  

This is absurd.  Expecting low levels to grind through Showdown base one 146 times to get one functional but necessary unit for the game is not realistic.  There are no Devin token bases in the game and no Devin tokens in the Gear Store Exchange.  Please fix this situation.  Consider your low levels as they are the future of the game and without them War Commander can't grow.

and peeps were grinding out brandon on base 1's to get brandon to lvl 6 and then to get devin to max then they farms all the showdowns with those two combos

it will fitz

with the exception of a hero's only event, like showdown .... Devouts are just as good (keep in mind, it is devin's devouts that draw attention and not devin himself)

for hero's there is still Leonard, Jenny, Ardra, Roland, and I think Allen

tho .... I can see why you are posting this, like all hero's, he is not so easy to get now ....  back then, he was not easy to get when he first landed for all of us back then

I to have an old alt ... but tbh I do not worry about any of this .... almost never load it ... that is what my main is for ... running 2 or more accts seems like too much stress to me

Yes, and as I pointed out buying and taking Devin and Braden to level 6 would have meant taking Showdown Base One 146 times EACH.

This is actually a very useful response.  I'll load up on Devouts for this month's Holdout and use them like Devin.  They will be weaker of course but I'll have a bunch on hand. Thanks!

As for the other priority heroes, I tried Leonard and he only works if he's in front of everything else and then he takes damage pretty fast.  Ardra, Roland, Allen lose priority status as soon as a regular unit hits an incoming target.  Jenny is great but her drones won't work for enemy units that can't target air.   Destroyer is also supposed to be priority but it doesn't always work on my main account and my mini doesn't have one.

So you did not have Devin and now you have a level 6 Devin from taking Showdown Base One 146 times in 4 days?   I call BS on that.  Or maybe you spent your entire Friday - Monday repeating that one Showdown base over and over?  If so you have way more patience than 99% of players out there.
