They don't provide any stats that reduce incoming damage.
That crew also doesn't make you "kill faster", it makes you "kill wider" by giving you some splash and making your spread more unreliable. Turrets and ships are going to fire at you just as often and hit you just as hard because of this.
Individual targets like ships might actually end up taking longer for you to kill with the spread increase, resulting in them potentially being able to attack you more than they normally would.

it also has evade the ships are killing the turrets faster because the splash damage reaches further

No it does not have evade that is of any use...its Hull specified as strike cruiser and I highly doubt that is being used by anyone nowdays.

I tried using a crew the molotov maidens (the silver one) and I started taking 15min more damage wtf is up with that? shouldn't my damage be less?
Use "sea serpants" crew that will give you evade and help you survive a little longer.
i long for the day when kix turns sector travel off to make trouble in the ranks mwahahaha

That crew doesn't give evade to every ship. It's only for the specified ships just like every other favored bonus.
Your kill speed doesn't change, your kill radius does. There's a big difference. The amount of times a turret will shoot at you before dying isn't going to be decreased by the splash stat. I'm assuming you made this thread over the garrison TLCs currently running. If that's the case, all turret groups will die in 1-1.5 volleys from nonupgraded Gambits without the need for this crew. Use a crew that gives speed% or resistances instead.
