Solar Flare tier locked?

It seems that those folks that have scrapped the Swallowtails in favor of the Heavy Cruisers are just S.O.L. Another player friendly decision, but not really surprised.  I guess my Helios won't get upgraded any time soon

Ok, while I agree with you in that tier locking (to lower tier) content is unfortunate and I would even argue that it's kind of dickish and pointless, I would still question the wisdom of scrapping all fleets just a half tier below the current max. Even if someone builds multiple identical fleets at the current top tier....for reasons, it seems unwise to at least keep the dock/storage space for one maxed fleet each of at least one tier down.

Because of stuff exactly like this, even when it seems dickish and pointless.

Because being dickish and pointless is Kixeye's thing.

it doesn't really matter anyway. PP2 of solar flare cannot be beat with swallowtails anyway. Kixeye made sure of that

The tier lock was fixed. You can use Heavy Cruisers now.

Yeah... I seem to vaguely remember the campaign being updated to intentionally lock the Heavy Cruisers out because they just got annihilated in the Swallowtail targets.. so I'm sure this will end well.
