I saw in my Defense Lab where it says my Base Defense Platoon takes 20% less damage. Does it mean as long as the building is not destroyed? Should the defense lab be inside the gun circle?

I asked about this and have been informed that even if the defence lab gets destroyed, you still get the bonus
