Coming Back Into the game

Hello, I am returning to the game after months of away time, ive got myself some Ace's and another type of tank but i am unsure of what is still META and what is currently being used/worked on. 
I see a lot of people tlaking about Adam, I assume he is good but I need a bit of help with explanations, I have had a look at the forum and cant find much. My questions also just go un noticed in the chat.
Any help/Advice would be much appreciated.

Adam is a great unit, he one shots most things and he has a high health, he makes a great tank and is used as such in PVP. PVP "Meta toons" are Pentace (if i spelled that right) and a main toon of the darkstorm, adam, sarkis, and Legendary Hover tanks. if you are looking for the Meta for PVE, i tend to use controllers because they get to a range of 700 at level 20 and will out range most things and with the correct shot placement can kill the anti-ground turrets without them ever firing.
Use Devouts to draw the attention of spawning units to come into the darkstorm aura, keep the Dev behind ds and they will kill before taking damage and the controllers will be walked right by.
For air, get Omega Chopper company for PVE, its hard to control at first but it can do a ton of bases, including event chal 5 (last event) just about by itself for free rep due to the drones taking damage and not the unit its self
