New Experimental escalated Nessus and Turin CIC’s - The Nessus-X and the Turin-X
WE have NOT even used the fleets YET and you are forcing refits I mean seriously The fleet has not even been used and it is allready needing refits. really
I mean the fleets are building they have not been used AT ALL and are needing refits
As a reminder, I’ll be away again for a couple of weeks starting on Wednesday, Nov 6th. Please look to the mods and to CM Chris for all your Battle Pirates needs.CM Ghillie
Enjoy your holiday.
No offence but its probably been around 2 weeks since I last saw a mod in here. I understand they are players (not staff) with real lives and not a lot of time, but when you see at least 2 of them almost 24/7 chatting on discord the "i dont have a lot of time" answer doesnt wash. We are even less likely to see CM Chris.
I see that the recently posted October CM Diary has flagged that there are to be praetorian hull upgrades contained in the November raid. Coincidentally the131 FM targets are to be replaced with a new level 133 FM target on Nov 20. The wording that the 133 will be of a similar composition in terms of damage type does not bode well for the player base as one can surely expect the damage to escalate to account for any increases in the effectiveness of our fleets due to the upgrades.
The FM is the lifeblood of a player's ability to stay current and should not be overly onerous in terms of both seat time and damage taken and/or the sheer, mind numbing, boredom hitting the same targets for exorbitant points.
In the past the FM has remained reasonably consistent except for an occasional aberration but now it appears we will be screwed at every turn as new targets are rotated in. Can you imagine what damage a new 137 will do when that comes around to be rotated out and replaced by a 139 maybe?
Now the editorial is over a couple of specific questions to CM Ghillie.
1. Will the players be thrown a bone with respect to upgrades to praetorians by way of some tokens or will the upgrade time be set that the ships can be upgraded in time for the following FM?
2. Will the relative prices of the FM items be lowered, or the value of the 133 target increased to a more reasonable level?
3. I am probably peeing into the wind with this one, will consideration be given to discontinuing limited items and shards given the player bases' hatred of these items?
4. How will the new 133 targets react with players' current praetorian builds as, by now, a lot of people have got their build dialled in as far as can be expected? The last thing we want to be doing is also refitting armour or other items in addition to upgrades.
5. Will the initial upgrade to praetorians be 1 level only or all 3?
6. If praetorians upgrade only 1, level can we expect that they will need to be upgraded every 3 months when a new target is rotated in?
I am certain Assault Chest was top left selection. I am certain I chose Assault Chest. A am also certain that I received a skrimish item in the chest I ended up with.
Pirates, please note that the chests are playing a game called "Pick Wrong"
The Flying Dutchman Campaign is dire. I tried to take an objective look at this campaign. Even tried a couple of targets applicable to hull limitation. Apart from the sheer boredom of chasing a hull round in circles the first thing that sprang to mind was RSI. The infinitesimal amount of clicking just in one target alone was bad enough but to repeat over and over was just asking for permanent injury to occur. The time it took to complete a target was completely a daft notion from the get go, way too long when Shipwrecks is a mere matter of seconds. The prize random structure is barking mad. Damage discussion is arbitrary as it depends on build and driving skill suffice to say its way over the top. Not necessarily for me but from what I have seen. The points I have earned are insufficient to even redeem a single chest. I may or may not bother tackling another target to make up the difference, probably the latter. There is absolutely nothing to inspire me with this campaign. It seems to me a very, very poor rip off from the WoW Halloween event by comparison, just like it was the first time round. In short this is an abysmal gaming experience and is far from pleasurable as one can get.
You are entitled to your opinion just not entitled to give it

Same thing happened to me and others. You go to select Assault top left and skirmish switches place with it. I ended up with a skirmish myself i didnt want.
I just love that the ships can move out of sight and that part of the screeen is locked for input. Well done devs Once again you prove just how well you think things through.
Why does the wave timer create such a large dead space in the screen? I love that 5 pages of obvious problems with this event is greeted with upping the capacity of the trick or treat chests to 200.
EDIT: Just noticed that the other chests were changed to a limit of 40. Great. They STILL switch places after you select one SMH. Seriously??? Do you guys even play this game?

Hellos CM_Ghillie, Grumble, The FM is not listed on the calendar. Is it possible to have the FM listed on the calendar every week the FM is going to run? It would save a bit of time answering if it is running every week. -Cuttlefish
Cycle 1 Begins: Wednesday, October 16th @ 3:00PM PDT Ends: Wednesday, October 23rd @ 12:00PM PDT

listed in the October fm briefing
Yes, I am aware of that. However, the key part : "The FM is not listed on the calendar" The FM was listed on the last couple of calendars. Now the calendar is published once a week, and is shared around to many pages, (good information dispersal). The briefing with this list of FM dates is done monthly (good information but, decaying dispersal). Every week where the FM is not listed on calendar, I see a slew of people asking if there is an FM that week. Simply inserting in one sentence into the calendar would remove some players confusion. -Cuttlefish
another thing that was missing was how much time is left to complete campaigns when you open up the campaign summary.
just a matter of convenience, but it's just a bit annoying to have to stop playing, open a browser, wait for kix forum page to load, then try to find the appropriate post for the info you need when before it was just a matter of glancing at the campaign summary page in-game.
nothing world shattering, but as you say, simply inserting one line per campaign on the campaign summary pop-up would alleviate some players confusion.
Where's the Penetrative Battery? That's some fairly useful limited tech that a lot of people would get but there's no current access to it.
Keep an eye in Pillage... most of the prizes in the Halloween Event were meant to help folks who may not have that tech, but next time we can look at both the prize format and consider adding a greater variety for more players.
Ok, CM Ghillie, so from everything you have read in this thread... the one thing you gleaned is that we, the players, wanted the limit of chests increased to 200? Not an inkling of anything else?....anything???
Kixeye are listening to the players and value their feedback?
Classic example of how well the company, and it's employees, take notice of anything, at all, we players have to say.
The only trick I see here , is to treat the player base like complete morons.

Adding a greater variety to a random luck chest is NOT what the player base is asking for. Adding a greater variety to a random luck chest is NOT what the player base is asking for. Since first introduced, the random luck prizes have been HATED by the player base. Since first introduced, the random luck prizes have been HATED by the player base. Since first introduced, the random luck prizes have been HATED by the player base. (See that too?)

I really don't want to put words in the mouths of the game designers on this event. But I will be honest-I would like to know what you were thinking on this event. For an advanced player there is essentially nothing for us to make doing this event be worth the damage taken. None. Virtually all of the tech offered I already have OR I simply have no use for. Why would someone take HOURS of damage in these targets for a CHANCE at a few prizes like skins? Many of the Rogue Crews you are offering don't work. I mean simply they are BROKEN-you guys KNOW THIS FOR A FACT. There are just a few of them that actually function. I noticed you don't offer the Grease Monkey-if you offered that=more would play-guaranteed. What about Demolition Squad? More would play. Rethink these prizes and add ones of value for more advanced players and maybe we might take part in this.
Then don't do it? It's supposed to be a fun and goofy distraction, nothing more.
Targets are easy enough, just hug that FD real close and the only damage is from the drone ships, BUT, the health of the FD is so insanely high for the Silverfish targets, it's a slow boring chore to kill it. After two targets, it's no fun to even try any more.
But, I have had a couple of Tier 8.5 prizes, which all I'm equating is pillage/raid points saved.
so i claimed all the chest for trick or treat part of this and that was 200 chest and i did not recieve any of the legendary rogue crews or mystery skin....wtf is up with that kixeye???

So no armor praetorians is best??? I've been away from game for about 2 years and just now got this hull but seems no one knows what armor to put on it as the armors for them doesn't work properly? This is what made me quit the game when the Inferno dragons were released along with the charged armors which now seem to work correctly however, did NOT work when first released and many wasted money putting them on their infernos. So an answer for this armor setup from the kixeye team, which seems to still have no clue how to communicate builds yet still forces my hand on what fleets to use for which target, would be appreciated if you'd like me to remain returned to game after long hiatus.
I took a Suppressor into a 14 - it did nothing. Why does it say we need it? In the meantime it takes forever to kill the big green with flag and silvers. Total drag!
