If my base becomes a farm after these changes I will be done with this game! I'm sitting at 627 medals(Stupid kix site hasn't updated medals in a year almost says Ihave 325, but that was a long time ago and during bounty event) most from base defense. I spent a huge amount of my time getting the tier 7 turrets so I could have a strong base. Not the players fault that your game designers messed stuff up! I would think a fix like this should have been implemented before the release of armor that adds so much deflection! Now with this fix I fear my base will suffer a lot. Just like the epic mort nerf several months ago that screwed the player base defense wise. Yes you did offer reduced or insta refits to building, but it was a tough adjustment. And now a couple months later we are seeing an even a bigger base defense nerf! And me and many other's will call it quits if the changes go at as planed.
The Forsaken missions will continue to have a dual purpose in the game, of getting new tech as well as a catch up mechanic for players returning to the game. Every month you will continue to have access to new components. We are also making improvements to FM as catch up mechanic.
The goal is that when a player returns to Battle Pirates and does not have all of the most recent tech, The Forsaken Missions is the place to pick up a hull to hit the ground running.
In May as example, as the end of Siege cycle, the Ironclad and Cannoneer were added to prize pool 3 for players who have not got Buccaneer and Hydra in past few Events. Those hulls would help participate in some TLCs and get base parts from world map targets.
As the beginning of Assault cycle, we’ve also included the Apollo and Zoe’s Apollo to help players who’ve missed Phoenix and Skyfire from last year. It’s the entry hull to participate in the Monthly Event for the Assault Cycle.
We’ve also added the flagships for both the Icebreaker and Monolith to the prize pools so you could improve the performance of your FM fleets.
We would like to get to a regular cadence to distribute catch-up hulls as well as the new components in Forsaken Missions each month, with other venues to get more recent hulls such as TLCs and offers.
Zoe's Apollo/Apollo may be the entree for RAID however; let's pick this apart the problem is we now have no (Tier 4/T4) targets. (Tier 5/T5) targets can be done with Skyfire or Phoenix however, at a cost even with having charged armors on.
Here is what needs to happen on the current RAID and future raids, it needs to go back to basics of allowing all players to join in. All tiers should return for the purpose of allowing low end players to be apart of the event and to win at least one prize from the list.
Go back to the first few years of Battle Pirates it was tailored made for not just high end players but, for any level of player who wanted to be able to get a prize. The second thing that needs to be done is T5 reduction of damage dealt to players who have T6 hulls. The reason would be due to newly created Sky/Phoenix hulls will not have top end equips or armors.
Here is what you have done for past RAID's that make the player "opt out" or even start them is by making it where we as the player can not earn one prize. When you have newly created hulls your team expects the player to "just" play with them. However, that should not be the case they should be able to do something with hulls created with some elbow grease.
Meaning put the work in for the reward as the player progresses they are able to get into the higher tiers, however; as it is now it is hard for even mid level players to get into high end tiers because of the process of damage and the hulls not being as useful as the past year.
Here is something that should return (T1-T7) and release of old hulls during the RAID for players to really sink teeth into that specific RAID. The problem is that Kixeye has strayed away from the old way of RAID to tailor it to Top End players and coiners. This should not be happening all players want to play the RAID for a prize that is where players will return if able to get a prize. Then they feel that they accomplished something instead of not being able to get any prizes during the RAID.
I agree with what Kenkyona says here. I am a mid level player who was able to get the Manticore in the last Siege raid and found that I cannot do anything in the new raid. That being said, I earned no new items or any items in last raid. I remember the old style raids and once everything started changing I took a long break. I got back into the game because of a friend that was playing but I hate how the game keeps changing. It seems every time I catch up kixeye changes it and I am now behind again.
Bring back the old raid style of playing. T1 -> T7 and you can't claim a prize in one until you did from the previous tier. The ability to earn uranium has tanked with the removal of DUBs and now the new targets I can't do. Take the game back to what it was meant to be ... FUN!
This is an open letter to you because you cannot see what is going on with your customer base (Players). We do not trust you. We may NEVER trust you but we want to trust you. We are BEGGING for you to do something proper to regain that trust that we used to have. You have become just another gaming company that is only concerned with your bottom line. I understand that you are a business and a business NEEDS to make money. I get that, But making money at the expense of your customer base is NOT the way to go about it. Have your operating costs, programming costs, server costs gone up so much that you have to gouge the customers to keep up?
We like that you acknowledge the fact that the lag we experience is not on our end. You have admitted to your mistakes and from what i can read, you plan on something to fix it. The only thing i ask there is that if it does not work, try something else please. I am playing the "wait and see" card here.
As for everything else I.E. glaring bugs, glitches, nerfed fleets, WAY too much damage in raid, chore and FM targets...........Why have these items not been addressed? I can still remember the Battle Pirates of old. It was a fun game. A good game. A game i would have easily recommended to anyone looking to play a cheap and fun internet game. Not anymore. With all of the mechanics, Mandatory damage ETC. This game is NOT for the new player or even for the low level player. I remember what it was like building a fleet of Marauders and being able to do Salvage fleets by myself, I remember getting the sea wolf and being able to participate in the current raid with no help. Those days are gone. The players dont WANT them to be gone, We WANT to trust you. Make us believe again......We are begging you to make us believe again.

The content of the state of the game in no way matches the title of "PLAYER FIRST"
All of the upcoming changes being described make it easier for players to take damage and spend coin to repair it. That is not improving the player experience.

bla bla bla. they have told us they are going to fix the game before and the only crap that gets fixed is what benefits kixeye. the base defense crap has only swung way to the bases side for the ones that have all the turrets. the rest of use are fixing to have an even worse time of it. so once again they only fix something that helps the top end coiners. they say they want to help lower players grow with older hulls but yet they keep making over powered targets that the olders hulls cant do. dosnt look like they are trying to help the lower players to me. stop with the greed and make the pve targets doable and fun. thats whats going to help the entire game, not just the lower players. its just the same o BS we hear coming from kixeye. they couldnt care less about the players other than our credit cards. i have lost all trust with the greedy company. actions no words is what will fix the game and all we ever get are words unless they need to make a fix to benefit kixeye. how about a PvP fleet we can use for ship to ship battles. that part of the game has disappeared. i believe non of this crap. they just keep coming out with overpowered targets we cant hit unless we have the top end crap and sometimes that still dosnt work. the entire game is unbalance not just PvP. i refuse to pay for a bad product. im a level 120 and been around since black water that logged of every single day for several years. i find myself spending less and less time on this game. the last couple of weeks ive logged on long enough to hit some chore targets, hit repair and logged back off. A fun PvP experience is built on a balanced economy. There are short term problems we need resolve to get there.
The short term fixes have largely been announced to you. We’re addressing a serious bug causing turrets to deal radically increased damage. We’re addressing an accuracy bug that was affecting all hulls, but was having it’s most profound effect on countermeasures effectiveness (making Defenders too strong). We’re improving the consistency of countermeasures. We’re releasing a Explosive Turret to help balance out base defenses. PvP has swung way, way too far in favor of defense and these changes swing the pendulum in the other direction. In long term, we will reveal content release plan that continues to serve the balanced economy of PvP space.
While PvE will always remain a big part of Battle Pirates, PvP is also where fun could be. Over the years, PvP has become a exclusive and niche experience. In the coming months we’re going to be working to make PvP more engaging, more rewarding and more exciting. Eventually it would be the experience for broader players.
Okay am not feeling that PvP has swung way... way... to "defense" look at returning players... players who are coming up from low end into mid end... you are not accounting for those players.. who does not have proper turrets for "defense"...
You want the players to come up from low end to mid end to high end you must first start by making a way to earn old base turrets for "base defenses". I feel as the "base defenses" are not zoned in for a balanced game play.
Player a has level 300+ fleet... Player b has level 50 base... zero "defense".. so where is the balance? If your looking at only Top End "defense" players you are cutting out the low end and mid end players from ever having a "defense" balance.

According to what we have been told the only people that Kixeye listens to are the CM's and whales in the game. This is the "customer feedback" that they keep talking about. This is also why it is skewed towards heavy coiners. This game used to be balanced. It is not anymore. You cannot tell me that Kixeye, with all of the resources they have, cannot fix the problems with the game. Either they are really that clueless or they chose NOT to fix them. I was one of the players who left BP for several years then returned. The weekly FM events have helped me get back into the game, albeit slowly. Now that I can get whatever FM content I want each week, I am stuck. I was hitting lvl 120 uranium bases just before they got replaced. I now cannot do any R&D, and cannot get the Alpha Behemoth or other shards for moving beyond the FM content. Just a suggestion, but bring back a nerfed version of the lvl 120 uranium bases and fix the R&D problem. Provide the same shards, etc., but one-fourth of the uranium. I can get uranium through map targets now, I just cannot move beyond the lowest levels of each of the map targets. While you're at it, either get rid of the old campaign events or update them to hulls that would actually be useful to players. Why do a campaign for a Hellblazer when I can get a beeter hull in FM each week?
How can you get 58 seconds damage from a 45 glowing nav relay 1 time then up to 12 minutes on another on auto. This is stupid as they should be about the same not 11 minutes difference. Kixeye really needs to fix this soon.

The proto Centurion isn't a flag. It is a new ship.
I do not concur that base defense dominates PVP … my base is crushed regularly as I have not acquired enough ballistic turrets and the penetrative turrets are lacking. A halo is still a halo no matter the stats.
The second is how countermeasure should behave. As a very well known mechanic in Battle Pirates, the countermeasures have behaved inconsistently towards missile, mortar and rockets. We are working on making it behave in a uniform fashion.
Those corrections will have various impact to individual players because everyone uses these content differently. We are doing our best to communicate our plan as early as possible, collect feedback and roll out carefully. We have no intention to make players take more damage than stats indicated and we welcome your feedback after the fixes.
Is having hulls in the Raid series with weapons immune to countermeasure a way of making countermeasures perform in a uniform fashion (useless). Also with that and having the charged armor deplete quickly (Limited Item) is a way on having players take unavoidable damage.
If you were really serious about fixing PvP the FIRST thing you would do is get rid of the titanium requirements for the conqueror shipyard. Then you would reduce its build time so low - mid lvls can start using it.
