Civil War stuff

I'm just curious of how the points system works for the Civil War Event
If anyone can direct me to the latest info on it that'd be great

I also have a question on the Civil War point system:  Kixeye, why don't we earn event points when our bases are hit in Civil War?

We earn intel points in Sector Strike when Vega attacks one's base.  And one earns event points in FvF so long as one opposing ship is destroyed.  But so far, in Civil War, even if you repel the attacking fleet by destroying all of the ships, you don't earn any event points.
