Coin a repair while repairing

There are situations where you don't want to cancel a repair to start another.  It would be nice if you could still insta-rep a fleet with coins even while repairing another fleet.

In what situation you don't want to cancel a repair? Just a few more click. Will you lose your repair progress due to cancellation?

I can think of a few.  

1. Convenience.
2. If I start a repair during a repair discount period, and I don't want to cancel it just to instantly repair something else.
3. If I don't want to worry about forgetting to restart the other repair.
