Why are there rebel ships flying into vega complexes carrying cargo? Why are there ships labeled as rebel scouts, battalions, etc. that we attack? Doesn't the story imply that we fight with Burr and the rebels against Vega and Bishop. I don't get it. Are there 2 rebellions. Are we rebelling against the original rebels who have now become Vega? At some point, you can't have two rebellions. One master, one rebel. I would like to know how this fits.. Anyone?

the thread which introduced the crafting fleets said, that the rebels we are fighting with lost the faith in the rebellion and are now on the side of VEGA....... if I remember correctly.

If they are now on the side of vega, they are no longer rebels. They are Vega. If I played for the Broncos and sign with the Seahawks I don't call myself a Bronco on gameday anymore. .....

true. but somehow you have to farm rebel cores/parts/patterns

In honesty I think of them as Rebels who are contracted with VEGA for benefits, but not trusted enough to be given VEGA or VSec technology.

Those miners are actually all run by slave populations that work endlessly for no reward.  Imprisoned and shackled by VEGA!  How could you kill them!

for all we know, they could be Deserters, who don't really care which side wins as long as they are rewarded with something of value.
