Figured I'd make myself useful and compile a small list of commonly asked questions on the current Shadow Ops missions and the new Danger Zone Campaign in an effort to help clear up some matters being asked over and over on the forums.
Q: If I don't own the standard Sandstorm and I earn all 8 parts of the Elite version, do I still unlock it?A: Yes. Effectively you are unlocking both units at the same time and the standard version is immediately being overwritten with the Elite Version.
Q: Do I get additional parts for doing repeats of Shadow Ops?EDIT: Shadow Ops have been updated and additional parts are now available to earned via replays.
3 additional parts can be earned from Phase 1 replays for a total of 4 parts.
2 additional parts can be earned from Phase 2 replays for a total of 7 parts.
Q: Where do I get the Gold Cache from? Its not in the Shadow Ops Campaign Window? Do I get it by doing repeats?A: For some reason Gold Arm's Cache's are completely unavailable at the present time. Instead, Tier 3 will award you a Silver Arm's Cache.
And no, Gold Arm's Cache's are not available by doing repeats.
Q: When will Gold Arm's Cache's become available?
A: ETA Pending. Details currently unavailable, sorry.Q: I've been attacked by a player with an Elite Sandstorm, is this allowed?
A: Common sense should dictate that this cannot be possible. If you have been attacked by a player with an E-Sandstorm, send a report with an attack log screenshot and their user ID immediately to fairplay.Q: Are the new Arm's Cache's lottery based?A: Sadly yes. Those dunces at KIXEYE have blatantly ignored our requests for less lotto and added and even more irritating version of the lotto to the Shadow Ops.
Q: What are the win conditions for Shadow Ops bases?A:
Level 20 base - CC only.
Level 45 Base - All buildings
Level 70 Base - All buildings
Q: How much time do we get to destroy the Shadow Ops bases?A:
Level 20 Base - Infinite time.
Level 45 Base - 1 Hour.
Level 70 Base - 14 minutes. (You can technically extend this by an additional 6 minutes if you start the attack just before the time ends.)
Q: If I get the Elite Sandstorm, will I be allowed to build 2 Sandstorms?
A: No. As stated previously, the E version overwrites the original. It does not grant you the ability to build an additional Sandstorm.
Q: I have been awarded 2 or more parts in this phase of Shadow Ops. Is this meant to be happening?A: No. This is a bug and should not be happening.
Q: Is the E-Sandstorm any good?A: No clue. With any luck KIXEYE will hopefully make a demo video at some point showcasing its power.
Q: What do all the Rare and Uncommon versions of the Components do?
A: Essentially, the Rare and Uncommon versions of the Components are meant to be superior versions that are also rarer. They include superior stats compared to the Normal variety and also at level 6 may include a new boost altogether. For example, the Rare version of the M4GX Grenade Launcher includes a fire field effect at level 6, while the Normal M4GX Grenade Launcher doesn't.

High Density Plating
Nitrous Injectors

Q: If I miss some parts available during Shadow Ops replays, can I get all 7 of them in Phase 2?A: No.
Q: What is the difference between Rare Parts and Uncommon/ordinary components?A: Rare and Uncommon Parts behave similarly to the standard editions of the components, but have 2 key differences.
1) Higher capacity in schematics.
2) More damage.
Rare Components also have another difference to distinguish them from standard and Uncommon components. Rare Components get a special attribute that becomes available once it reaches level 6 in the workshop. For example, the Rare version of the M4GX Grenade Launcher Applies the fire status effect.
Q: I can't equip the Flak Ordnance to any of my units. Which unit uses the Flak Ordnance?A: Certain components available from Shadow Ops are custom components only useable by specific units. For example, the Flak Ordnance is a custom component for the Infiltrator class of Special Forces, so its only applicable and viewable on their schematic.
Other custom components include:
HH-2 Targeting - Equippable only on the Hellhounds.
Dampening Helmet & Reflex Bracers - Equippable only on the Lead Heavy/standard Heavy Operators.
Nitrous Injector - Light class Special Forces Vehicles. I.e., Hellhounds and Jackals.
Q: How do I unlock the Elite Sandstorm's Grenade Tactic once I unlock my Elite Sandstorm?A: The M.O.A.B. Tactic (Mother of All Bombs) is packaged with the Elite Sandstorm, and can be found in the Elite Sandstorms schematic under the new "Doomsday Tactic."
If anybody thinks there are other questions that are worth adding to the list, post em in the comments, and I'll add them to the list.
Cheers everybody. Hope this FAQ is of use.
FYI everyone, I've created a new FAQ on the Bastions & Weapons Lab that can be seen
here.
Hope this FAQ has been of use to anyone needing some questions answered.

***Buries head back in a thesaurus....
Considering the fact that Shadow Ops have been in the game for well over a year now and all 7 previous long term campaigns have all continued after any events that took place, its clear this one will continue. It would be illogical to assume that the campaign would not continue otherwise because then we would have no way of earning the Sandstorm unless KIXEYE suddenly made repeats possible and expected us all to repeat the phases a few times over.
A simple bit of common sense would tell you that the Campaign will continue.
But I changed it anyways to ETA Pending.
Cheers for the screenshot, I've added this to the list.
Kindly do that elsewhere. But before you do, I do wanna point out that their not giving it away. People still have to go through an 8 week campaign of smashing bases to get the necessary points and meet the necessary Tier and all that. And also, it was your own choice to spend that XP.
Like, when can we expect to see Gold Cache's brought in, and why aren't they here already?
Also, is there a chance we'll see an E-Sandstorm demo video showcasing what it can do compared to the old Sandstorm?
This is an FAQ to answer a repeated questions people had about the new Danger Zone Campaign.
This is not a thread for people like you to whine about decisions you now regret. Kindly take your complaints elsewhere. I don't want them here.
I've also updated it and added a few new questions in.

Have a problem? KIXEYE Customer Service
I think I'll add that to the list as well, as this has been another commonly asked question, cheers.
Acquire anyone of the Lead SF and build it so you can use the SF.
2) If you've unlocked the Elite Sandstorm, it should be appearing in either your Tech Centre or Airfield for building. If it is not in either location, you need to contact Customer Support via a ticket. If that doesn't work, try asking CM Scarlett to see what he can do for you.
3) OK, what Grenade are you talking about here? Do you mean the Sandstorms Tactic, or a standard Grenade. Because if your referencing the Elite Sandstorms Tactic, that is applicable only to the Elite Sandstorm under the doomsday Tactic.
If your discussing an ordinary Grenade Tactic such as the Shock or Concussion Grenade, those are only applicable to Special Forces Fireteam leaders, such as the Lead Operator, Infiltrator, Commando or Preserver. They cannot be applied to ordinary SF like the Operator.
If you have any more questions, please set up a thread about them, as this is a Shadow Ops FAQ, not a general/Special Forces FAQ. Although I can set one up if people want me to.
