They don't understand what was fun about the game in the first place. They have lost a ton of players so they are trying to revamp the game while also releasing another op base hitter after we said that was the last thing we need. We told them we would like less boats a turret a component not more OP fleets and weapons. They could careless what makes the game fun or competitive. Only going to soak as much money from suckers till they stop supporting it.

the game is just about dead no one want to spend 24/7 playing the same old pointless game only to get outdate within weeks drop raids to one every 3 months drop weekly 1 a month stop adding **** into the game i have a full time job i dont want another and as for your cost to play you can hoop it id buy a car with the coin i dont spend on here damage to points rate wow just wow its well off you guys have no clue the game has been made total pointless lucky if i log in ones a month now and even then i log back out within a few min as its just crap

If your level 62 and can't get to at least tier 3, you've ignored any advice given to you and probably had salvages opened for you.
Mercuries with siege missile d55v / d4e armor will get you there. Especially now after rebalance. Don't blame your ineptitude on kixeye.
I know, next you'll complain 55s /65s are hard to find.
kixi can you scrap the rocket storage system its a pain and peeps that cant hit bases to save there life keep hitting docks with them LIKE really kixi is this the players you want that dont show any skill but clicking a button

when will the lower lvl players get a chance to even compete? awhile back you had an event that you had to be a lvl 55 to even partake in it. but yet at lvl 50 we get attacked by lvl 90's. how was that fair? all about the $$$ not the players.

Some lvl 50 peeps are thinking that "lvls" can prevent them from getting hits...lol! With lvl 70 there is no difference!
Yes you can have as a big lvl a working basedefense for a certain time, but the days will coming where your basedefense is outdated.
The "basedefense" is only a minigame...a tower-defensegame.
Little players should also keep in their mind, that if the big lvl players cant play with their new toys, they will stop to get new toys.
To keep the big lvl´s out from all bases 5 lvl +/- (if we would introduce the rule for all lvl´s) it would kill the game!
Whats wrong with a 2h+ repairingtime on your dock, if you will get 1 1/2 days protection? Thats a little price in a battle oriented game.
If pirates are afraid to hit the lvl 50 mark, then its probably not the right game for them...they must realize, that they are in a game full with pirates!

how nice our hard fighted tech from tier 4 is now in tier 3... so it was useless to play ?! and i have seen 1 fleet of tigersharks flatting 10 bases and still alive...nowhere normal anymore. The objective is good thing but the costs are a bit.....overpriced. How long we have to wait for constant uranium to keep up and build time reduction, which you promised. have nothing seen yet! and then even more new things...so no more tokens to get....longer builds....i love this game but i am slowly giving up, even when i coined 500 bucks...all useless. Rocket build, crusaders etc. not usable anymore as for some little campaign or hitting salve/drac base....they are not hitting and doing dmg at all. even my rhino are slowly getting old alone, but with tigershark etc. it's ok.......
Doing the FM - well with all the things to lower repair times??? All I am seeing is an increase in damage using the same old fleet and same pathing..etc I keep track and it is costing me about 4 extra hours repair time. What's the point?

The same happened to me. 85's were around 45 min repair, now they are 4-5 hours. I drive the exact same path. The cranked up the damage so any reductions in repair are more than lost

In our ongoing effort to improve transparency and improve the game itself, we plan on presenting quarterly state of the game posts to open up a discussion about the direction of Battle Pirates. This is the first of these missives and we have a lot to talk about. We’re excited to share with you our plans for next year and discuss what you’ll be seeing in the future, starting right now, in December.
We are most excited about the future of Battle Pirates, and the features coming in 2016. In preparation, and in response to the community, it is essential the game is in a healthy state. This is true now, more than ever. The team is embarking on this essential mission right now.
Here’s what we want to focus on, moving into the new year.
Overpriced Builds and Refits
Because of the increased fleet size, increases to costs per component, as well as an increase in the number of slots on ships, build and refit costs have become inflated. Since no one singular feature will fix this problem in the short-term, we’ve come up with a solution that we believe will reduce costs and see to it that they never get wildly out-of-control again. Here are the changes:
Weapons, armors, specials, and tacticals are assigned build time based on the weight they add to the ship (no more Negotiator Mortar problem).
Components that are often refit will be given a lower time cost and a Uranium cost.
This is intended to lower refit costs and allow for more active refits.
Includes light weapons, specific resist specials, countermeasures, armors, and role-centric specials (including sonar)
Hull build costs will be based on ship weight capacity with two exceptions:
Some older ships have higher-than-normal capacity and will be discounted
Ships with unique effects (such as the Aegis) will have the hidden value of that effect factored into its build cost
The new research system will offer multiple opportunities to lower shipyard build costs with the intention that build costs fluctuate around a current standard cost while also lowering the cost of old hulls and tech automatically.
Return of Research
Starting at Outpost 6, players will have the opportunity to complete new in-game objectives provided by Harlock, Brennus, and Zoey. These new objectives unlock research options that provide permanent global bonuses. Here’s an example:
Critical Technology: Draconian Shipyard
“The Dracs seem to have an endless supply of new ships. Raid their bases and destroy their shipyards. Bring back enough salvage and steal their tech.” - Brennus
Salvage Draconian Shipyard Shards: 0/10
Research Time: 24 hours
Effect: Shipyard Build Times Reduced by 2%
Most objectives will come out in December with additional objectives to follow quarterly. Each permanent effect will stack, helping to stop escalating costs and reduce costs as hulls and components age.
Overpowered Weapons
2015 has seen extreme jumps in the power of weapons, most notably the Arbalest, Antipode Launcher, and Blade Missile. This has left many weapons well behind the power-curve, causing many players to have larger than intended repair times from more recent targets. We’re conducting a game-wide weapon rebalance to bring more weapons and weapon categories back into use, so that the targets we build for don’t feel impossible for those with less recent weapon tech. Basically, if you don’t have the hottest new weapon, you can still be competitive in the game.
We will not be nerfing any weapons!
Top tier weapons will still be at the top.
Weapon weight will be more important to understanding the power of a weapon than it is today (especially on older components).
Damage and reload will be structured so that weapon categories exist for roles such as:
Weapons that are not as dependant on VXP
Weapons that can penetrate high defenses
Weapons that overload countermeasures
Cheaters and Exploits
We’re continuing to identify and solve cheats and exploits within Battle Pirates. While some of these cases are design related (such as the use of multiple rockets to kill an outpost), many are due to the nature of BP’s code base and may take longer to solve. Creating a fair playing field is critical as it allows us to better tune the experience for all players. We’re committed to identifying and making fixes as efficiently as possible.
Most recently, this includes a remedy to prevent players from using illegitimate ships and illegitimately overpowered ships.
Sector Threat
One of our goals is to reduce the need to schedule your life around Battle Pirates and create more dynamic gameplay based around player activity and interest rather than creating “chores”. With Reavers leaving the sectors and a return of Draconian control, we’ve taken the opportunity to replace scheduled Dredge fleets with player trigger-able Draconian Armadas and the soon-to-be released Uranium Bases.
Sector threat will also be a gateway to new blueprints, including a new line of Draconian Mega-Hulls that players will be able to unlock and build.
VXP
The original goal of VXP was to reward players for playing with their ships, but it has become one of the most important stats in the game. In the short term, we plan to run VXP events more frequently to allow players access to the much-needed veterancy experience. We’re also working on new ideas for VXP including:
Reducing the power gained by new hulls from VXP, while providing them a default reload bonus
Allowing newly built hulls to start at a higher VXP level based on objectives
Altering the bonuses that VXP provides to be per hull
With these changes our goal is to return VXP to being a bonus rather than a necessity.
Repair Times
Arguably, the largest pain point from the community has been the cost of repair in the game. We have been exploring this problem from every angle and have several proposals for how to tackle it. All of our data confirms what you already know: the cost of repair is too **** high!
We are looking at this data to formulate a specific and actionable plan to reduce the cost of repair in the game. There are a number of different approaches we are looking at for this topic. Here are some examples:
Reducing the time cost for armors
Purchasable reductions to repair
Increasing VXP specialist packs and reductions
These are just a sample of some of the directions we are considering at this time. We want to make sure that we are addressing all concerns regarding this topic. We are currently discussing how best to implement these changes and hope to have more specifics on this announcement very, very soon.
Base Attacking Rewards
The cost of base hitting is too high and the rewards for base attacking are too low and it often feels unfair to lower level players. We plan to use the new research system to motivate competitive base attacks and competitive base defenses while lowering the cost of both. More details soon.
This State of the Game is focused primarily on core balance issues and system improvements for the health of the game. Currently, this is the most important priority for us. This missive focuses on what we know needs the most work, hence its size and scope. Future State of the Game updates will shift to a focus on upcoming features and roadmap discussions, but this message, we wanted to let you know that we are working very hard to get Battle Pirates to a balanced state. Again, this is what we are most excited about as we prepare to go into 2016 and we think these changes will bring Battle Pirates to a whole new level.

Uranium is hard to find/get still. it's like a Wheres Waldo in a 100 page book. Thought Kix was going to put out platforms close to Drac Bases like oil and other resources. Just reset the game back to 2 years ago and focus on factors of fun rather then just the Power Players. This game is more like work. aka NOT FUN. If I didn't enjoy goofing around with my alliance members so much I would be gone.

I came home from work to a 100% flat base & since I don't coin it means I can't launch or repair a fleet for 3 hours after logging in. Having spent over 3 months building a Grim/1 V2/3 Rhino's fleet that I finally skulled & armored up & set as base guard I have to wait 1d 7.5h to repair that before I can start weekly in a good way...so that'll be 2 days almost, by when my bubble will have dropped & it can be repeated. Good stuff. Fun gameplay My suggestion is remove the dock repair & let us launch fleets when we login...
You're a lvl 87, you should have everything needed to do everything on the list. If you don't then you must play a different game than I did as a 87.
doesn't matter if we can do them or not, the uranium cost is too high, shouldn't cost any more than 25k uranium for each one.
I also don't like having to do campaigns , campaigns are a great feature because there optional and available when/if we want to do them. having some campaigns in there that need to be done to get boost, and then move on to next objectives negates the optional side of campaigns, which is a bad thing.

That won't happen. Kix thinks players will be angry the dock is down and spend a few coins on repair.

If Kix was smart they's let you launch all you want as soon as dock started repair, much as a real shipyard that was damaged could still service ships in a limited capacity. Just let it not let you repair fleets until dock is fully repaired.
See the clever thing about this is.............. you can damage more fleets while dock is repairing, making more potential coin repairs, but allowing all players to play when they can, whether they coin or not.
But that would be clever and a positive way of enticing you to participate............something they don't seem to be capable of lately.

First want to be positive by thanking Kix for reducing repair and build times, even if it was just 10 - 20%. The December raid was much easier then the first "Revenge" raid, and Kix responded quickly when people were having to much trouble getting points.
This new research however shows that the Devs are still out of touch with a large percentage of the player base. Giving a 2% bonus to critical chances for 100k Unobtanium is just plain stupid. Then to require people to destroy an 85 Op when only elite players can kill them is ridiculous. People need an easier source for Uranium, I know that this "Sector Threat" is attempting to achieve that but unfortunately I haven't seen that as practical. I'm in an active sector, achieving Yellow a few times a day, but sustaining it is to hard and the rewards are minimal.
You guys need to take away the freebies for a couple Devs and let em grind the game then see what ideas they come up with. Get in touch for a change. The open communication is welcome and appreciated, please keep trying.
i think we all need to downgrade the rating for kix games. mark as 1 star or less. let them feel the burn ,without us they are nothing.
Yep without gamers they wouldn't have a job so they should listen to us. but it is like talking to a brick wall all of these years. They just don't care. Well good luck on your next job. Time for a Change in the topic's. Gamer's in this game are looking for the easy way of playing the game for less repair's and as of late the more update's the BP team do they make that harder for us to do, and then there are the free to play player's. Most have ether left the game or just building what hull's they have then will probably leaving after that. The change's in what little repair's and build's are just more to a Joke then any help to the one's trying to decide to stay or leave the game because there looking for the BP Team to understand that we would Love to play this game just need MORE TIME from the game to do so! Not this More **** to do with LESS time for us to do ANYTHING else in what time OUR Live's let us have!! That's where the BP team need's to work on is less WAIT TIME!! Glad to see the game having some thing's out there for a good part just not everything and the BP team or Dev Team Need's to start asking us if something new would work or not and there would not be all this BS on Forum's. I actually agree with a complaint for once...
This evening our sector made a very coordinated effort to tackle the Uranium problem, all of us hitting all the salvs and Armadas that spawned (every one of them) and the bar didn't go past 3/5 of the yellow. It was really discouraging.
I get it if it's hard to heighten the bar. It shouldn't be this hard.

You guys need to take away the freebies for a couple Devs and let em grind the game then see what ideas they come up with. Get in touch for a change. The open communication is welcome and appreciated, please keep trying.
Yep without gamers they wouldn't have a job so they should listen to us. but it is like talking to a brick wall all of these years. They just don't care. Well good luck on your next job. Maybe just maybe you will have learnt something when you are looking for your next pay check, if not, then change careers and do a course on people skills whilst you are at it..
The change's in what little repair's and build's are just more to a Joke then any help to the one's trying to decide to stay or leave the game because there looking for the BP Team to understand that we would Love to play this game just need MORE TIME from the game to do so! Not this More **** to do with LESS time for us to do ANYTHING else in what time OUR Live's let us have!! That's where the BP team need's to work on is less WAIT TIME!!
Glad to see the game having some thing's out there for a good part just not everything and the BP team or Dev Team Need's to start asking us if something new would work or not and there would not be all this BS on Forum's. This just putting stuff into game without any thought of how we will take it is just more your Team's falt then our's if ya like good feedback then start Doing What We ASK!!!

Meanwhile, sector threat IS NOT working for many, and you made R&D into a uranium harvesting chore fest. So what i see is you've YET AGAIN done the opposite of what you said you intended to do.
Will we get any comments and questions addressed? Seems the dev and moderator are having an issue with their backbone, any criticism and they stop talking (hence no dates in the WIP thread because sticking to timelines is too hard)
This evening our sector made a very coordinated effort to tackle the Uranium problem, all of us hitting all the salvs and Armadas that spawned (every one of them) and the bar didn't go past 3/5 of the yellow. It was really discouraging.
I get it if it's hard to heighten the bar. It shouldn't be this hard.
