Not to burst your bubble and all, but it clearly says TIER B and TIER C. Nothing said Tier A was reduced.
95s will no longer payout XP, but we will be increasing their other rewards significantly. They should be paying out 5x more progress to the Sandstorm (a huge increase!). We will make sure we fix that bug. We'll be doing our best to credit that progress to any who missed out.

The way they pull this off is very clever on their part.
First they remove two or three of those half bodied crawling zombies, afterall...that is a reduction right??? Then they actually do reduce the amount of damage that the units can produce. However, they then go in and raise the amount of damage these same units can take, meaning it takes you three or four times as long to kill them. This allows the units to give you more damage and force you to coin repairs or go do something for 14 hours until your platoons heal.
Last night we made some improvements to the event. We increased the XP payouts of Tier B and Tier A. We also reduced the amount of units in defense waves in Tier C & B, and some of the defense waves in Tier A. Hopefully these changes will reduce the lag and difficulty a bit in those missions.
Unfortunately, the Missions do not correctly say how much XP they are actually paying out. You will get far more XP than the event HUD advertises on certain waves. Here are the real facts, we hope you enjoy.

First off, Chris, thanks for listening to the feedback of the players.
Secondly, for those who are still complaining about the difficulty of defense of Tier A, there are 2 possible conclusions why you still are saying it's difficult:
1. You haven't tried it yet 2. Your base isn't strong enough and should play a lower tier level
Tier A defense is SIGNIFICANTLY easier. IMO, there should be no more reductions or it will be a joke.
Such a presumptuous statement, only 2 options. Maybe, just maybe, a third might be:
3. You're suffering so much lag that at best your base defenders don't respond or worse still it just freezes until death.
And that has nothing to do with neither not trying nor not being strong enough!
PS: Consider yourself lucky not to suffer the lag that some do!

why don't you fix the darn lag in tier A already.Been 2 days of defense waves that when i start them it says defeated after 10 seconds.Doing this a dozen times hoping one will actually start.Pathetic event and worst one so far as being able to play.Been playing for 5 years now and just about tired of your shananagins and lame excuses.I dont complain on here ever but i just about had enough of this game as you dont even make your events enjoyable or even fun to look forward to
leave it to a kixeye mod to say the event is easy he must have all the free coin to do the event or runs cheats to do it while the rest of us have major issuse and that sounds to me like we are all just fcked over for event
This event is significantly easier. Also, see your PM about why you have been warned.
"Significantly easier" means nothing when the latency is so bad you can't control your units or even highlight them to try and make adjustments during the defense waves. Completion of the attack waves is tricky but can be done with the current latency issue's, but expect to get higher than normal damage to your units. I've scored multiple millions of XP in the previous events but have concluded that this event is a bust and will be lucky to complete tier A at the present state of the game. Rest assured Kixeye I will not be coining.
Everyone is saying Tier B the 50 base is bugged where you can't finish it, has this been fixed?
We are not aware of this, and I have not had this problem personally.
CM Chris, the level 50 bases are still either kicking people out after they're about 1/2 way complete OR if someone else is opening them for a friend, etc, they will often reset completely the moment someone stops their attack on them.
Still not taking the plague spitters, Lead Marksmen or the gas spewer out of the level 10 on Tier C eh? That pretty much guarantees nobody under 30 will be able to do anything in this event without help. As if that's not enough of an issue you guys stack a flood, & two AA plasmas and a drone silo all within range of it & have plague spitters standing along the edges.
The only way to safely even open a level 10 base without losses or significant damage is to use an Archangel or Phantom to take out the Lead Marksman & Spitters on the southwestern Island & slowly circle around picking off the zombies at the edge before it's safe enough to take out the Gas Spewer. Even still one slight mistake or burst of lag or god forbid you get DC'd and your Archangel is dead because you guys thought it would be cute to stick a friggin Flood Turret in a level 10 base. You guys do realize that even at level 1 that thing does 73K DPS, & since it's Rate of Fire is 8..... That means it will kill even a MAX LEVEL Archangel in less than 4 or 5 shots, if you hit a lag spike, dc, are unable to re-target due to lag or accidentally mis-target because each actual shot is doing approximately 200 - 250K....
Why do you guys keep catering to the high level players (with the best toys) only? 95's can't even be touched this time by anyone without a max level Phantom. A shadow ops unit that many people don't have because of how much the Ryu-Kai 20s were tweaked during that Shadow Op, don't get me started on the 45s....
what i think? I think its freaking fracked the FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF's up that I did all of Tier A and now i got fracking screwed from the events points i could of had. I wouldnt of mind if its was something small,...but 119,250K? Thats lot of fracking points i missed out cuz of another crap up change. Same crap, different day. Just how i feel....feels pointless.

yes bro i ear you... the picture i show was on a previous zombie event you are right but the very same TECHNIQUE work... what im doing atm is doing the very same thing on THIS event and i post picture of THIS event with the current unit we need to deal with...
my point is .. a vanquisher that have concussion ws able to stun the zombie in the old zombie event... and in this event the very same thing is still true... so for example when i talk about the (4 layer attack technique) its still the very same now... i do use this on the cave (the very same way)
and i update that post every single day and i put new picture and new tactic everyday on all waves i also take private msg to help player that have specific questions. you are welcome to PM me and i will help you all i can
-------- the only (new zombie) we have in this event is the VIPER STYLE ZOMBIE the tall one that have close range... that the only new zombie... all other was old zombie we deal with in past event
if you lost all your unit on day one... that because you did not read my post yet ... be sure to take a look meantime your unit heal... you will learn a lot
Increasing payout is nice, but most of us lost most of our unit day one, chasing the smaller amounts. We still have severe lag in defense modes, and attack modes while workable have small item only experience will learn, sadly learning is unit destructive
But it's based on EARLIER types of Zombie Events mate... Try to make now tips with current toons and turrets But I like some of these tips
What's the point in increased XP or reduced difficulty if you can not do anything because of the lag. The only way I can do anything is with Rubi on. Can't see the map most of the time. Repair times are ridiculous. Forty hours just for the SandStorm!
I sent in a ticket on the B tier 50 bases yesterday , i had to do the 50 base 3 times in order to get it done , it keep freezing up and giving my a white page with server problems kicking me out of the game after i had 50 % done on it . i send a full page on what time it was and what i seen . i hope that you can fix this problem . it is always the 50 base that does that .
What About us that did Tier A both defense waves and offense bases.Will we get the difference in XP?Because so far I didnt get anything extra except a flat base from those defense waves.
Thank you for acknowledging the event was too difficult. What is the purpose of the events? Either it is to challenge players and reward the effort. Or, it is to provide alternative ways for players to earn gear they do not usually have access to.
Since changed the format of events, making it near impossible for players to receive help from other players... that alone increased the difficulty. But it seems that was not sufficient for Kixeye. If my friends can't help me, then you need to remove a lot of the defenders... maybe fewer and tougher... or more and easier.
One more thing... you have record of what players have already done. We should get the adjustments for our XP based on the new scale...
Please consider it.
Lastly, I understand Kixeye used to pay some players as "player advocates"... I don't know if that was the correct title. I guess the down turn in economy hit Kix too and many of these advocates have been let go. Please consider reinstating the role; instead of pay/salary, advocates could receive credits/gold, or special "advocate only" gear (special weapon for a particular piece), or give them an opportunity for a discontinued piece... I would volunteer. :-)
kixeye needs to reduce repairs by 50% my defender toon is 1d6hr.....coin coin coin, i refuse to coin thus i wait wait wait. because of kixeye's greed greed greed
Chris, I think that you have made a good start on making this event more "doable" for more players, but Tier B defense is still a PITA for me, and I am a level 41, and had reached wave 42 in Onslaught before the event began so my base is not too bad. I am taking significant damage on some of these waves, and I doubt very much that many below 37 have a prayer of beating some Tier B defense waves without massive repairs.
I have played around with A but so far have not been very excited about dealing with huge repair times for defense, so can't say from personal experience whether these waves are now truly any easier. But from what others are saying it sounds like the level of difficulty is still too high.
Finally, why don't 95s pay out any XP? If I am going to deal with the large repair time involved in taking one of those I want a better reward that a VERY small chance at a SS, and decent XP would be a nice incentive.
I have been pleased to see that lag issue have gotten much better (for me at least). Map is still screwed up at times, but still quite awhile left in the event so hopefully that will be fixed soon too.
What about Tier C? ? ? We are not all high levels, why don't you help us??? Is there a reason it takes a level 30 10 platoons to beat a level 15?? make it better for us too....
