Yes I noticed a huge change in the strength of the upcoming launcher type of weapons that will be offered in the July's event, are the stats put out by Battle Pirates correct and planned as intended? Or due to the obvious errors will this new weapon be altered after the beginning of the event?
Stats are currently correct.
I love the political answer here, currently. Doesnt mean they wont get nerfed afterwards it they see it not working as intended.

This game really does live off the buyer beware motto.

All information subject to change.
Seriously, though. Those stats are right. I don't think they'll change them. At this point, they are pretty much set.

Is it safe to assume the team has finally realized that nurfing should be done prior to prize releases?... sorry.. that probably an unfair question.. but I am screen shotting this post and saving it for future use ;-D

Doom this is bad because level doesn't mean anything. It matters on your tech! A player who is 60 maybe have better or worse tech than a 70.
Indeed. They continue to use a horribly inaccurate measuring stick. Funny how just playing the game becomes prohibitive. I'm 71 and if you saw my fleets you'd probably pee yourself from laughing. There are mid 50 players out there with better tech.
So here's my prediction for the freed ships... They'll actually attack us and maybe the enemy ships. Kix will get around to fixing it some time Sunday.
I'm a lvl 73. Base is pretty good, fleets suck. I still can't do 60s reaver OPs.

When I started this game in 2012, a wise player told me always to make fleet first.
Bases can be repaired, and all players get farmed. But a good fleet opens up a world of new doors to a player.
Grind out enough points to get this new weapons, put it on just about about anything, and kablam... a bunch of new targets will be reachable for you.

That is just your opinion ; this is a cool Game for face Book but it's still just average and over priced as far as Games go.
No, it is not opinion. Opinion would be that you could point to another game that is exactly like this, with a different pay model. You cannot, because there is not one.
Even with the game everyone is trotting out as something special fits into the category of you get the ship, it is done, you kill it, it is repaired automatically. You cannot modify the weapons, you cannot modify the armor, you cannot equip specials too it. You also do not have a base of operation where you can e attacked. The only way to get attacked is to be out there on the seas and doing battles.
So, no what i have stated is not opinion. It is fact, and until another game comes out that does what this one does. We cannot have an honest conversation on how overpriced it is.
That's sad You need to get out more because there are a ton of games like this and more ! I could point you to a couple; But I don't think your interested; it almost seems like your defending your own work or something and if that's the case good for you but it's still just your Opinion. No Offence intended.
Then point them out
I never take offense, you are not worthy of me taking offense of anything you say.
There is no game out there like this, there might have been one but as far as I know it folded up. Let us not forget, people are comparing this to another game that does not have a base, does not have customization in ship building. You get a ship, and that is it. Or, are you going to try and say that Vega is like this? OF course that one is, it is made by the same company
You Just showed how Stupid you are.
no i also would like to know of these similar games c mon now don t hold out . as i also have not seen any game like this ,naval combat game
You assumption that you have a complete working knowledge of all game platforms just makes you look bad ! So let's get back on topic : )~ I'm here for battle Pirates tips !

Maybe, but it wouldnt be the 1st time piece of tech in the past 4 years that's OP that got nerfed a few days/weeks/months after they got released since they realised they didnt end up working as intended (cough, Reapers ring a bell, cough) .
Sadly ive been burned too many times to invest on somthing early on till it been around and outclassed by other tech.

You should be fair in your criticism, the Reapers got nerfed, because of the Retro lab going to R15 and causing unintended consequences on stealth. Same with other nerfs, the retro lab broke it from the intended working conditions, and needed to be modified.

But you knew that right?
Sorry, should have been clearer. Reaper was just one example of many tech that got nerfed in the past, and not all due to the retrofit lab.
But it doesnt change the fact this weapon got twice the DPS of arbalest(and the ability to decrease resistance which arbalest doesnt have) and 3 time the one of previous launcher and will kill a majority of the hulls over a year old(if not 6 month old) in a single shot shockwave which can be obtained with one or 2 volley depending on number of launcher in the flt. So im keeping my reserve on this one.
Any hull/flt not using a reaver bulkhead to boost it armor/health to 20k+ will die very fast.
With 98 range, it not a game changer, but not far form it.
And on a side note, i hope you realize higher and higher dmg output on weps will require newer armor with more armor ptn, leading to higher build and repair times, not something i look forward too. They should ahve kept it at 10k dmg tops(and they may do that later on, maybe).
you all forget, Kixeye makes it's money off repairs....so it's only sensible that they release weapons that do more damage! when you think of it as next raid the Reavers will have this gun on their ships....or they might even have it on there this raid.....more damage = more money....that's the Kixeye moto....

The reaper was nerfed for base hits because of retrofits, you cannot rewrite that episode of nerfs to suit your personal agenda.
Yes this new gun and hull will be game changing, much like the NC and D92 was lat year. I am surprised, that you are surprised, the newest launcher is more powerful than the first, especially as you pointed out reaver bulkhead. About time we had a better counter to that single piece of armor on attacking fleets.
......reaver bulkhead. About time we had a better counter to that single piece of armor on attacking fleets.
No countermeasure needed for reaver bulkhead, any sucker who uses this slab of repair bait gets the countermeasure when they dock....cha-ching goes kixeyes account.

Like is said its was an example, maybe apoor one ill give you t hat, but still doesnt change the fact many nerfes were done in the past.
Did i expect a stronger launcher, yes, but not one 3 time as strong. That is what we call a perfect example of powercreep. Giving 10-14k dmg would have been along the line of newer wepaons this year, 20k+ is just over kill.
When d92u came out, the dmg was in line with the newer weapons with 4k ish dmg, what made it op was it range. What i lead to is the release of more 90+ range weapons(or special to boost range). What do yo u think releasing a 20k wep will mean ??? More like it to ocunter it, not a good thing.
The entire ptn of the the reaver bulkhead was to counter weapon like arbalest and throwers release this year. Right now, it become needed but not enough with this new wep.
What worries me the most is the exponential increase of dmg being release, we hae gone form 3-4k dmg in the beginning of 2014 to 20k+ in mid 2015, so roughly 18 months. Where were we going to be in 12-18, a million dmg ptn ?????
......reaver bulkhead. About time we had a better counter to that single piece of armor on attacking fleets.

I tried to avoid bulk heads to save some repairs but it seems that i have to have it to get in high level bases.

Yep, that's the plan, hence why I'm a wet blanket now and don't bother with high level bases....is it really worth all that extra repair? Not any reason to hit them anymore, the revenge fun has been sucked out by insanely high repair times with ALMOST no relief (VXP specialists...lol)
More damage leads to more armour....equals more repair...the curve has gone up much faster than any repair time relief that has been provided.

I will give you that we had a few stealth nerfs in the past, but they were not horrible, in that they restored some balance back to the game. The reaper was needed as the retrofit lab going to R15 was not thought through very well with all the ways that we could build ships. Causing that part of the game to be broken from a playable point of view. It can be argued on the way it was handled, but it was needed to restore some balance as it was never meant to be a way to prep a base without the ECM.
Now, for this new launcher. I expected it to be better than the arbalast. They have been going that way for over a year. It was not surprising to me that it was going to be game changing. I told my crew that they should expect to coin, put in seat time, and do whatever they had to do to get this weapon this raid. This was before we saw the stats, when the stats were released and finalized I told them that after they get the weapon and hull, or just weapon (if they could only get 5.5) to drop what they are doing, and build their enforcers, NC, Vindicator, Greta, whatever they wanted to refit this too and do it. To swap out D104 for the new weapon is max 6 days (might be a bit more, have to check again), so I expect to see their base defense fleets with this new launcher by the end of the month.
It is that important for base defense and those with Enforcers to get this.
For base hitting, it is going to be important too, and going to change the way we do our resistance. It will pack a punch and 24K every boom is a lot. Going to make those with the Permacrete think about their resistance and maybe alternate between ballistic and radiation resistance.
We might go that high next year, if we do well hard to say what will happen. As we have seen this year, people will buy stuff that is put out even if they do not own the ship for it (IN the skins).

Wish i was like you. Unfortunately i love this game too much to let it go. My recent fleet with bulk head costs 60 freaking coins. But i can get in all most all the bases
Interesting, lots of players will be happy that all the campaign levels are open for everyone. Kind of like this new twist. We'll see how it's implemented.
Oh you mean how it use to be ? : )~
yep... I remember grinding B sets cause I couldn't do A's... heck, B's are still more profitable now, what with the reavers being so cursed powerful...
