Interesting, lots of players will be happy that all the campaign levels are open for everyone. Kind of like this new twist. We'll see how it's implemented.

Exactly. It sounds interesting and potentialy fun again. Hopefully it turns out that way.
So there's only ONE actual tip... in the tips and tricks post.....
And dammit....reavers again.....
So what happens if any of the captured ships gets destroyed on it's way out? Can they be destroyed? So leave a random building before destroying the shroud building? Anything else actually useful??
Honestly, I think the devs made the right choice with this idea and have a really good chance at making this an awesome and fun raid format. I'm excited to see how this plays out.

I think it is a good move but could be badly. The quote was "ALL campaigns are now available for players of ALL levels. Veteran pirates will receive fewer Event Points for defeating lower level campaigns"
So they may give points so low that it is not even worth your time to do lower level campaigns. Hopefully it is a sliding scale like players 60-65 get 85% of the points, players 66-70 get 75%, players 71-80 get 60% of points.
Any more detail if that will how it will go DOOMROOSTER?

I don't have a specific modifier, but the concept is right: If you are a higher level player hitting below level, you'll get reduced points, depending on the difference in level. It should be noted that this is not inverse: if you are low level hitting upwards, you will not get more points.

Doom this is bad because level doesn't mean anything. It matters on your tech! A player who is 60 maybe have better or worse tech than a 70.
Don't use Level. Use Tech when describing players. Level means nothing, its all about tech.
Doom: I think that is a good way to implement it. Last raid I turned 60 during the raid. I just could not do the higher level campaign at all cause I didn't have the fleets for it. So I was forced to quit the raid, this will allow me to play in the raid even if it is less points it is better than no points.
Wait...rescue 800 pixel ships for a rogue crew? and not every battle contains ships to be rescued?
Let's take the graphic as an example, let's say 3 ships on average, hell, make it 4 per target that makes for approx 200 battles. Oh but wait, not every target contains them, only "certain" encounters, so that's 200 x unknown quantity....
And then you have to wait for the ships to do their thing before you finish...they better be fast **** drivers, I don't wanna wait around for them.
Are they placed on one side of the screen and exit on the other far side? Will it be a damage fest if you wanna free them early? If we are prudent and prep to free them with less damage, effectively putting a another limit on us....the prep slows us down already and then we gotta wait for them to sail off the screen....ffs
All for a rogue crew that's pretty meh for anything but a Crusader, like the crusader needs this crew to walk most low-mid levels already complaining about their bases being walked?
Can I get the crew, sure, do I aim for it, nope, if I do it will be a by-product of my grinding if I choose to wait for it. As for the amount of work for what it is, get a grip, you guys have lost touch.

Sounds like a good addition to the game. i like the idea of rescuing forsaken ships and crews from the clutches of the reavers. mabye we should bring this into the draconian based events as well.
Warriors, Renegades, Rebels and Rogues are we. Death to all Draconians, Reavers and Scourge. (And depending on the day the Legion to.)

I think it is a great idea as well. It keeps it interesting and keeps people from just doing the bases on "Auto"
Interesting, I have to say that this actually looks quite good
That being said things that look potentially positive also make me nervous.... they're usually followed up by unpleasantness later on, we virtually never get something positive for nothing.
For now though i'll settle for a couple of questions that immediately came to mind when I read this:
To what degree are the points reduced for higher levels playing through lower campaigns? (although unless it's a 90% reduction I suspect most won't care)
Lifespan of the crew?
Is the 800 ship target just a placeholder or a final number?
Is the ship target a static number across the whole player base or is it influenced by player level?
How does the ship rescue mechanic work in relation to co-op?
Are all of the other mechanics still present in the event? (Sector bar, Sector Store etc, level 90 RAPs etc.)
There's probably other questions too but those are the ones that immediately came to mind.
I like this, however whats the point difference and will you get the event point pay out? Will it still be 1-45, 46-59 and 60+ for the "required" levels so to speak and do I get a bonus for doing harder campaign than I'm qualified for?

LOL the plan is to force everyone to play higher levels

Interested in the answers to these questions, and also who gets credit for co-op freed ships.
I know that the briefing says the rescued ships will help fight on their way out. Is it safe to assume they will just fire while moving, and not stop to target things? How long does it take the freed ships to exit the playing field?
Final question.. can S armor be added to the prize list... UAV power cells would be nice too..?
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.

Of course it is. This may or may not be a step in the right direction to help the low and mid tech players actually be able to accomplish something in the raid. I hope Kixeye remembers the last event that had a sliding points scale I believe Hubs were the targets. It ended badly and just angered the players. It could be even worse. Player level is now completely useless at judging a players true power. If the penalty is to severe you might as well not even bother.
