Hey dude, I'm a linux user of libreoffice. Could you post a sheet with the data used in your calculations? I can't get anything to work as it is, but I can fix it if I have the data.

i like the way it looks so thumbs up to kixeye but me and my friends are keep geting stuck in the loading screen when going to sector veiw, anyone else having this problem?
I'm using the latest Libreoffice, and macro is enabled. However I don't see the drop down menu for the ship selection. When I click it, it stays at Apoc. Do I miss something? Btw, awesome work! Thank you in advance.
This is awesome. Keep up the good work. BTW will the extra 2 weapon slots be added for battleships?
The 2 extra slots are already added, its just the program your using does not adapt to the ship correctly when you change ship. I have attached a version with all the restrictions removed so you can use it for battleships on the program your using. I will not be supporting these extra builds when I come to update the calc; so you will have to make do with this version unless you find a version of excel 2013 to use. Enjoy
Is it possible to include in the calculator the level of the fleet that you would get if you built only 1 of the ships? Or only 2?
This would be helpful if you want to build a fleet of 1 or 2 ships only and don't want the fleet level to exceed 34 or any other level that you are aiming for.
first I have to say that you have made an amazing job. and then to those ppl who are complaining that free software dont't open this. get a job and buy a real software (ms office). free means free which means not made to work. and then a bug to report. my factory is in use so I cant verify but i'm quite sure that condor has armor slot/s. your data shows 0
Thanks man this is awesome. Even just having all the stat's at hand is a great help!
One comment though: the description for shields you write "90% defence vs explosive weapons" for example for Shockwave...
I think this is a bit misleading (or perhaps I'm wrong!) but I believe the shields offer "90% defence in general" (meaning 10% still effects Health) and their particular "flavour" results in 50% less damage... So in the case of Shock they will take 50% less damage from explosive weapons...
So instead of "90% defence vs explosive weapons" should it instead read "90% defence | Explosive Damage 50%" or something along those lines?
"Shield energy will deplete at half the normal rate if the shield receives damage from the weapon type it resists. While the shield is active, the hull will always receive 10% of the incoming damage, even if the shield resists the weapon type."
So, with a shield of 90% defence, the hull will always take 10% damage from any damage type (not including phased). However, no matter the type of damage done to it (energy, projective, explosive) you will not take any more or less damage; You will however deplete the shields 50% faster taking damage from a weapon source other than what the shield was designed to defend against. The text I added was from the in game description on shields. I added it merely as a reference for the vega shields so I can remember which one defended against which type. Who needed shields anyway; slap on zynth 5 and ram them
The problem with this game is the power curves. Just look at the graphs I made. Said no vega conflict player ever
Please add the info about must have of Excel 2013 to the 1st post in the thread. Having all the updated data in 1 place is nice and thanks for the work you've done and keep doing on this. It's just too bad users have to go through pain of cracking MS Office if they want to use the sheets longer than 60 days.
I have already built the next version with Carriers and squadrons ready to upload once I get the data on the new event items. I will update the post once I get them in. I sent skeedor a message asking if the dev team could send me any data I can use on future items so I can update this faster but have not yet got a reply. I am hopeful I will get some of the new event tech, obviously not all of it, so if you lovely people get any repair time stats on the new tech please feel free to post it here and I will add it into the new version. I will update my initial post to reflect changes etc. Same goes for blood amber tech stats
