Honestly I don't give a flying **** about the skins. I'm POed that they basically made the FAT a 2nd monthly event more or less :P
I share your PO'dness... Also not impressed the Tokens will go live with a Campaign, rather than being added to the already in game "chores" as was advertised.
The thing about Tokens being introduced in a TLC is that this is a brand new feature and we are introducing the reward of them in a way that utilizes a system we already have in the game. As we develop the feature, we'll be able to create new systems of rewarding the tokens. As with all new features we introduce, the first iteration rarely stays the standard. For now, using the resources we have available to us in order to implement a new feature, this is the way we're doing it. Chances are high that this will change as the tokens become more integrated into the game.
"Utilizes a system we already have in the game" is no where near the same as adding to an already existing game chore. I take almost no comfort from "chances are high that this will change", as it is already changing from what we were told to expect. Essentially, you are saying that "chances are high we will end up doing what we said we would do in the first place before pulling the rug out from under that." Not exactly a basis for trust. What I say as a long time customer is that this had better be good...REALLY **** good...
"WTF is wrong with those chickens!?" "They're angry. All I feed them is cocaine...and chicken!"
The only remaining dreadnought still afloat, USS Texas, was launched in 1912 and is now a museum ship.
will this do?
this will do, but they need to fix it up with modern junk and reinstate itas a patrol ship, why waste something that looks so nice?
because it is so obsolete and slow that in modern naval warfare it is useless and as a patrol craft a double amputee could row faster than it. Same reasons that battleships were mothballed. no point in spending hundreds of millions or even billions on a modernization refit when a single $175,000 missile can sink it.

Oh come on now. All it needs are some of those fancy red and blue lights and it will become almost invinceable.
What you are actually buying is a reduction of the time for something to built (for ships purposes at least). A ship will take time to build say 10 days 3 hours and 45 mins (days, hours and mins are all periods of time). 1 coin equals a 30 minutes (a period of time) reduction in the time it takes to build a ship.
so u paid for a ship then..
No you paid for a reduction in the build time for that ship. You still have to pay the resources for the ship to be built...

1 coin pays for 30 minutes advantage over a non-coiner. Every time you spend you get that advantage in a faster completion / repair.

i need the new harry potter wand gun next raid tho
Part of the fun of BP is the old Attack v Defence and the tactics / strategy employed to beat a base or sink a fleet. Why then would KIXEYE develop a weapon that over balances the scales (well actually blows them up)? The Arbalest is way TOO POWERFUL and there is no tactic or strategy required, just build a ship with armour and the Arbalest and steer straight in (easier than 10 pin bowling with the gutter guards down). It has made base defence a joke.

Like grim and classic berserker + chaos mortar, HLNC + Nuclear Cruiser + D92, Hellstrike + inferno rockets, etc It will be nerfed and/or countered when all the money to get will be extracted from the pockets... rinse and repeat every month.
The arbalest is a powerful weapon to be sure, but I've already seen a number of Crusader/Arbalest fleets get stopped, and they've only been out a couple weeks. The key seems to be to have a high armor/high ballistic resist stopper ship. Preferably one that confers reload bonuses on the rest of the fleet when it overloads (think GrimZerk or GrimWrath). Combine this with Enforcers and a Mastodon and even with a strong tank the Crusader fleets have issues. If you have a Locust equipped carrier leading the way (**** Kix, I still haven't won them), the tank will get taken out pretty quickly too.
This is not to say that taking out these fleets is easy, or that it can be done with basic tech. But the ability to stop them already exists and it will get easier. I've also seen fleets running Arb only get taken out by drones if the driver isn't on the ball and doesn't have high rank/reload. That minimum range on the Arbalest will kill you if you don't have supporting weapons.

ame.
how is this supposed to help when we will have to spend zcoins to do that zcampaign, why not just skip the zcampaign and spend the money on the ship. this is not helping us in the least. kixeye will not do what we need done. its a joke. sorry. zc button is stuzck.

Nothing sinks them faster than a good old SOS, or unable to join battle, unless it's raid time then you have OP fleets, SOS, unable to join, & lag all ganging up on you !
Hahahahahahahaha
They're calling in Greenpeace...to save the vanishing whales. Greenpeace showed up, looked around, shook their heads sadly, and said it's hopeless....
A time limited campaign for tokens is a very bad idea. I had such hope for this feature. At best this is just a way of shifting when I repair. Do this extra task and take damage then use the reward to fix damage at a later point. Really disappointed here.
maybe it will be light so they can see what the benefit is on people hitting bases or what ever. they gotta start somewhere. maybe you can do it with some gun boaks
boak (verb) - Scottish slang for retch or vomit
Sums up the way I feel about the dis-ingenuity of Kixeye with regard to blatant attempts to milk the player base for more coins
In a game like BP the hardest targets should be other players, not the AI targets!
Here is a grand idea you already have oil, medal, energy, and zyn. generators in our bases. Just make one that mines gold then you will not need tokens or any other new way to fix repair or build times. Then we could use the gold as we please.
The chat is as dead as I have ever seen it. Everyone has seemed to moved on. Its time to kill the game KIX, just pull the plug and put us all out of our misery. The more you get involved in the game adding new hulls, weapons, technology and chores the worse you make it. You are taking away skill and replacing it with hulls. Please lower repair times so that the players can be motivated enough to make it fun to play. The beatings will continue until morale improves should not be your position against the players. There is more action in this forum than in the sector I am in. Just pull the plug and kill the game.
good ole kixeye instead of helping players with build and repair times they are going to let you buy them aka coin a campain lower your build times!!!!!!!!!!gotta admit ive just about had it with them !!!!!!
Check out the April teaser....Rooster, you are awesome....
