Just was bored and went to see the fan creation, saw some ship designs; which reminded me of my crazy hurricane...  probably not as crazy now, seeing all the abilities on ships these days, which I think they ripped a few off me, lol.


Would be nice if drones got updated, but mainly I would say their repair times reduced would make them fun again.  Only thing that I would swap out for the above is the "Sonar" for the drones and replace it with "+66 Thermal Range".
They said to hold them accountable, "to put their feet over the fire..."

    I pitched a few drone ideas and then noticed they adjusted the build time of the wake mod from 12 to 6 but left the other 12 day tactical mods at 12 days. That made me think Drones got prank appeal as a "prize" to Kixeye. A social experiment to see what we will do.

    I always wanted to get in the test server and dabble with Drones. I never built Blitz but i did put Siege3 and Piranha3 on a Hurricane each. I was curious how Blitz vs P drones would go down. I wanted to test Blitz 3 vs P2 and whatnot. It just seemed like Rippers on a maneuverable drone could pwn Depth charges on a  fellow maneuverable drone.

    I will never know! The way blitz drones look on paper it seems like a total waste of time to do level 1. Suggesting we invest more time in the better module and that is just bigger waste of overall time. No cutting corners if the level 1 weighs more than contemporaneities at level 1 (Blitz1 vs Siege1, Piranha1) and does less damage with higher repair time per drone.

     I'm curious how you feel about Hurricane when it comes to drones. With the p drones 70% of the time having a few more P drones out is advantageous, 20% of the time it just helping opponent drain them in dramatic fashion and 10% of the time it's Spades. Would have been same exact fight tempo with 1 drone or 5.

    Now that is just P drones. With Siege i find the odds about even. 50% of the time things are going quicker, the other 50% is the bad quicker and hello long repair times. 

    IMO Siege Drones never had what it takes to do any heavy lifting in a fight. They make decent decoys vs weapons they can evade and all other attack/damage types are a problem for them. 1 Mortar can kill a whole pack of mewing Siege drones and that always made me think, this decoy ploy with only 1 drone would be just as effective for diversion effect. Yet less risk taken with repair time and with less Siege drones we only lose some paltry attack power (IMO)
     if you mother hen them S drones and provide coutermeasures, love and support the drones are viable but not worth the build time, not worth half their 12 day build time. IMO

    The argument can be made that a Hurricane hull is the worst hull for drones. It depends on a few variables sure, but very often I wish i had just put the drones on an Arby.

    this is the fleet i use well with the new reaver tech added will keep me just ahead of most fleets and each ship has a combined effect.

    Interesting. You run them all the same combat speed? I have three invested wake mods and a couple cheap support ones. I like them to be atleast the % of the wake mod level faster.

    I'm refitting the new tech on one and leaving old tech as is on the other. the torp might be useless with scout engine but for having 5% combat speed it sure is light.

     I will make more Hurricanes when they get R10 in lab. Everytime the combat speed changes I need to rework, reorder or rethink an existing fleet. I invested in resonace battery on all my 4 special slot hulls back when Resonance Battery gave a hard, non diminising 20% radiation resisit. It took 2 days each and investment in support ships. I don't see many good returns on the huge investment either, mostly see the biggest improvement on my enforcers more than my berserkers and less help on my Stingrays than my Mastadons. I also have a ton of Nav relay arbies and plans to make the lightest Nav2 Vanguard possible for patrol. 

    But I do like having a 36 combat speed super high turn speed, Atlas UAV fleet. 24 speed Atlas + reso batt, Nav relay lvl3 & 36 combat speed Wake mod. But the Stingrays was meh, the ships without  resistance don't get a third of the peaks ( Damage, Resisitances and Speed)
    The Mastadon and berserker want siege battery more than resonance battery (IMO) and they can only have 1 or other.


    If i make another Hurrican he is NOT getting drones, 6 day buuild for the hull makes drone build so painful. Then he just gets them killed quicker. I just used siege dones as a decoy in the Apocalypse Elite. They did no damage and 2/3rds of them died (**** Hurricane) but they drew all the Reaver ships attention while I started the first 8 platforms, then I hunt ships then finosh platforms. J/S I still use my drones just spewing more of them never seems advantagous. I have a blank Arby or 2 that would get Blitz mod if i ever get a chance to play with it.
