I liked "Rumbelow's Orders" because it expanded the lore a lot and introduced us to the inner workings of VEGA which I found to be really cool. I really hope they put up new posts because I find it all really intriguing and helps set the scene for our part in this grand design.

It would be great if some canonical lore would shed some light how the conflict started and what exactly rebels are fighting for. I honestly don't believe in the bullshit that VEGA Federation are just an evil empire out there to extort people.

I look at it as more of a business.  At First VEGA had recruit independent contractors as miners to go to the resource rich sectors to mine resources for them.  Due to expanding costs the miners contracts where cancelled as VEGA had expanded operations of there own internal mining operations beyond that of the Miners ability to supply (They can **** out 1 million H3 every two minutes), VEGA Corporation disregarded the miners and left them to die.  With no way home, and limited ability to sell mined resources due to the federations taxes and VEGA monopoly over the shipping lanes.  Many miners started to struggle to survive and so the piracy soon followed.  Miners began to develop military technologies to launch attacks against each other and VEGA Corporation.  Such actions lead to VEGA Corporation sending military forces to hit Miner bases suspected of stealing.  This worsened relations between the miners and VEGA as little to no investigative work was done and VEGA simply used its might to crush the miners.  Soon, wide scale rebellion broke out and here we are now.

Bring on more story and lore! It's been ages since the last one and I'd like a bit more 'official' stuff to feed into my decidedly unofficial vega story thread (which is on hold for now but will be back in the future!)
    My VC story:
Vega Conflict-er since closed beta phase 1, back when torpedo harriers ruled the sector.
BP- started in the black sea days, then the game died...
WC- started pre-World Map, then everything went downhill.

    My BP story series:
