I disagree, it is great business.  The longer you know about what the prizes are, then the longer you have to prepare and build ships customized for the raid.  If you see a prize list and don't like the prizes then you may not rush any ship builds with Coin.  If you see the list at the last minute and really like the prizes, you are more inclined to Coin a few ships.

You have a lot to learn about economics some people have to set aside money to play these raids. It's not California life everywhere. I have to build no ships we have fought these Warzones. What we need to know is a prize list and the cost if caps or no caps. How many points and specs on the hulls...

Good question.  Will try to find out if there are caps.

Have you BUILT a ship lately? LOL. Not very many fleets you can build in 7 days without coining them.......

I'd like to request a Wallpaper version of this image please. :)

Edit: Robot always says "Stay frosty out there", now he's going to have to change it to "Stay toasty out there"... lol

lol but uhh this being the "next chapter" seems a bit awkward. The new challenge in this game isn't to fend off massive coiners and new ships but to steer ur ship out of the way of the icebergs or else they sink to the bottom of the ocean and u lose the whole flt.

Grim, that is my point.  Less prep time = More coining.

Good news: there will be no caps on the July raid.  Confirmed with staff. :)

WOOOOOOOOT - far better system all round ....

... unless it's snowing - have to wear your cap when it's snowing ... or your bald spot gets freezy

In a game like BP the hardest targets should be other players, not the AI targets!

I'm kind of shocked no one has yet to ask about the "C" target points. I assume they are going to be the ultra low scoring type they were last time, just curious is all. Waiting for the shouting and crying to begin anew on that front. lol

Icebergs, Hmmmm... wonder where they got THAT idea

Can't imagine.  There is absolutely nothing entertaining about icebergs.

I'd like to thank Robot for these tips as it does help with fleets, especially now knowing that the next saga will be bases. My FvF has improved quite a bit with these last raid formats to which I have grown to like. They are hard and could be a little softer in the dmg department (wink wink hint hint) but the layout from the last one (June) I found a lot more challenging!!!!

That is what I like ALOT about the last raid. It was not a send in your fleets to die straight away, my NC's did reasonably well in the B's and I was even able to kill the typhoon although that took my fleet. Compared to other raids the sonar reduction helped but ETD was an interesting addition......unsure of that one, however the level of difficultly from June was probably a touch too much, but the ability to do it was not impossible or importantly kamikaze missions.

Heres hoping that for the last raid in this format that the difficulty and challenge will be the same as the June raid. (Fingers crossed)

Thats my 2 pennys worth :)

That is a great point!  Hopefully the C Tier points will be reinstated to normal levels.

I'm just gonna say, they want us to fight bases from Ocean's at War. Really Kix? This the best you can think of or do you realize your dying? Well if the rumors are true as to the prize of the flagship (50mil) and the interdictor at (80mil) then congrats you just killed yourself

Do you know the original story behind Battle Pirates?

What am I saying, of course you do not. That would require a little more... Well more on your part.

I am glad that everyone will get one more attempt at the warzone setup. This should be a good raid for everyone that has paid attention the last 7 months. No excuses to not have a fleet or 3 that can do this raid for very little to no coin.

Can we just stick to the topic please? Complain elsewhere in the forums if you want.

    For one, tips and tricks...

For folks that want to keep coining to the bare minimum or none, prepping with IR or zombie fleets is essential for minimising any big fleet you might have. In my case, my big hitting fleets are Merc+Launcher and SSA+Launcher. Those of you with Tritons, DNX, HS, MCX, Atlas etc... you should be able to sort yourselves out.

Cat 3 spec was my saviour last raid. I was able to grab t5 prizes for the first time. I wonder if the setup this time will allow me to achieve t5 again.

As for not having time or coin to build your fleets, like someone said above, the warzones have been around for last 3 raids, so not many reasons for ppl to realise what builds generally work and are therefore worth building. Eg ^^

The above set up means that I did not use coin for repairs or boosting ship completion. I am currently building my 3rd SSA with launchers but I haven't got time to put the full fleet together. What I have decided to do is to drop parts from my SSA and leave the Ship/weapons/Strike 3 to build.

We'll see how this works out. Failing which, the SSA with Launchers is something I am looking to use for my FM anyway, so no biggie if they turn out to be a dud for this raid.

Hulls won: Corvette, Frigate, Destroyer X, BBA, LC, LCX, BC, BCX, HHA, HHB, Rampart, Mercury, Spec, Vindicator, FFA, SSA, LeviA, Sawfish, Destroyer, BS, SFF, Triton, Reaper, Cuda.

No cap, means C tier is worth as much as  last time.

Which is a great thing, means those above level 50 have to put on their big boy pants and hit some real targets. 7 months of the same raid style, we have know since December what worked in this raid format, no excuse to not have gotten it put together 7 months down the road.

Hey Kixeye, nice rip-off of Oceans At War's theme....lol

You mean Oceans at War ripped off BP's theme?

Or, have you forgotten the background story on Battle Pirates already?

While the Warzones have been around for the last 3 raids, this style has been around for the past 6 raids. We knew back in December what was helpful in this raid format.

    1) Instant Repair Sea Wolves with Torrent missiles, Engine, Enhanced Warhead, and whatever else for prepping. These can do C tier on auto, and can prep out the B tier/A tier or finish the targets that are prepped for you by someone else.

    2) Cat3 Specs, D2-S, Engine 3, Assault Torps/Siege Torps, - Almost can do the whole raid with this fleet for no coin

    3) Any long range weapon to finish. - For those times where you do not want to deal with the enhanced thermal detection on the capital ships.

All of that has been offered in the weeklies, and previous Raids.
