Implications of TOME on Kixeye gamers

If you haven't seen the short teaser for TOME: Immortal Arena yet, it's at the bottom of my post.

My question is what everyone thinks will happen once it's finally out? I've been watching live streams of other games of the genre. Seems like quite a lot of competitions for these games. Close to (if not fully) professional rankings.

How do you think this will be implemented by Kixeye? Any thoughts or concerns?

I'm not going to say what I think will happen but what I know will happen, we will have an influx of Leroy Jenkins as well as an untold amount of absolute newbery.

Goes without saying. I'm wondering about an influx of professional level competitors (if any) and what effect that will have.

First off the teaser is outdated... things have changed a lot since that video was released. Secondly, just a guess, but i think it will be a game where its necessary to work together (like teams).

I know it's a team game. That's what I meant. What kind of teams are we going to be seeing when the game is released is one of things I wonder about. Are we going to be seeing Starcraft level competitions on the horizon?

Is this a game we're going to see become heavily streamed like LoL or other games of the genre?

looks similar to league of legends(only seen a few game play videos of it and it looks great but I bet my computer couldn't handle it(it barely handles war commander.) So you might have a lot of competition from that game(as it is free to play and also is insanely popular from what I have heard.)

i think the game will have teams just as Brandon said but, I think the game will host different classes, weapons types,perks,custom characters,etc.

I don't have any doubt about that. I was more wondering about the Community we'll have, along with what people think will happen if we get a huge influx of new players that aren't RTS players.

This is a completely different type of game from what Kixeye has made so far. The mindset of players of LoL type games is MUCH different from RTS players, in my opinion and experience.

All i can say if  this game gets as popular as WC then we will see a vast new community and i think LOL players or players with experience with that type of game will shape kixeye's future in MOBA genre. but we will have to wait and see.

New community? You mean the thousands of butthurt sector police that ruined BYM and will eventually WC

Not to get anybody down at all but, there are literally DOZENS of MOBA games and the only ones anyone hears about are League of Legends and DOTA series

LoL looks awesome but has what I am told is one of the most toxic communities ever.

The rest I don't have a clue about.

There are a lot of good MOBA games out there and some with incredible graphics. I think it will all depend on game play and if Tome will offer some twists or new elements that truly make it stand out from the others. It would be hard to beat the competitors along the lines of graphics and eye candy but all of them can be beat in game play. If Tome ends up being just another MOBA it will not do very well.
