and what about the little guys bases im talking about the lv 40-45 bases that dont have all the good guns in their bases, and u get high levels blowing the crap outta their bases, im also talking about the ones that play this for free and not coin, u really think they are going to stick around after getting flattened all the time specially with the new siege, ive seen 3 dnx,s walk through a very tough base lv 64 with 9 of the seige b in 1 hit no prep, even if they bring out the new ship designed for the defence of this seige, u really think lower levels and people that dont coin alot to get the new ship will stick around and play your game kix, u really need to give your head a shake.
Kixeye doesn't care about non-coiners, they are easily replaced. The "whales" (players who spend a weekly fortune) keep kixeye in $$$ and as long as they continue to introduce new items, the "whales" will continue to spend their $$$.
Yep ... i think kixeye thinks that way too
In real life war game player are limited ... there is no oodles of folk waiting to start playing this
Positive feedback you tell to few ppl ... negative feedback its few 100 s or 1000 ppl that hears about it
Also players have started to gravitate to other war games ... Paul Preece that was here on forum in beginning has not been seen for 1/2 year with any comment
Its too much stuff that make older stuff obsolete that comes out ... every month we get 10 new toys !
When getting to point where you have same ships that older players has is non existing ... ppl quit very fast
How long do it take new player to notice a MCX or DNX on map looking in naval lab where HH is best and that takes 1/2 year to obtain by research to say " not for me and quit ?"
Fun is out of this game ... its one lame event after other where it is just 1 ship type with 1 setup that works
And coiners thinking this will be kept online just for them ... 1000 players in 10 sectors figuring out who has biggest wallet ... Aeris has done that by golden age boring idiotic war game with totally kick azz graphics ... wont help if every non coiner quits after 1 or 2 months
Out of curiosity, has anyone equipped the new Siege Targeting special and/or used it yet?
what next ... you ban me again from here ... what a joke
Your friends in that gated all white community you live in have made lot of fleets with that

You deleted my quite before this that was on topic ... refit station or dry dock will now be deleted
And by askin how does that stat goes ?
Anti mortar range in triton now says 333 % ... so how do we calculate this bonus accurately ?
is it 75 % ship bonus + 75 % special bonus = 150 % or something else
and how do rogue crew with 14 % base damage bonus add up to this ... is it 150 % + 14 % ( 164 ) or 14 % to baseline weapon damage( 150,6 ) or 14 % from 150 % ( 171 )

Or does moderators even know ?
The Triton issue is a display bug that has been noted and entered.
scarp. why not do a preview server just for this one speculation. im sure you wont get any good data from players who are not willing to coin it instantly :P gets a bit expensive to make ships when they cost anywhere from 600-1200 coins each
I refitted my dnx with siege special 3 and I notice the difference on my shock mortar build. Although the stats are not showing right. It says I have 75% splash instead of building damage
all this speculation that siege targeting is over powered. have you even built it yet? go ahead an try it on your triton thinking you will get 150%. Purely stupid, dont you realise you just wasted 50% you cant go above the 100% bracket. its really not a big of a deal use making out to be. its a 17% weapon weight which is lose of weapons. look at the basics of getting a awesome 9 way siege mortar HES III fleet, even that is difficult. the siege targeting wont allow just a simple add on. you actually have to down grade on weapons an armor. thats all i got to say...........
Out of curiosity, has anyone equipped the new Siege Targeting special and/or used it yet?
I have not had a chance to equip it myself yet but I have been hit by a DNX mortar fleet that was using it. One of the only few fleets that has made it in my base in the last 3 months and it did it quite easily but did include a prep from an MCX missile fleet.
It might be useful to allow players to try it out on a preview server so we can get a more complete picture of the impact this is going to have?

Yes buddy. i have refitted my Shock Q DNX fleet with them dropping GS3, to be honest i cant really notice the loss of GS3 and my opinion after going out and using my DNX with the new special. Has not changed, i still stand by my original post and i will have some videos to follow going into greater detail.

do you have HES3???? thats where the 75% splash would be coming from

Well, there has been a release of level 5 walls recently. I think I smell new levels for the turrets and a new level for the OP right around the corner. Give it a bit. They always at least attempt a balance. There will be building and defensive upgrades shortly.

Not sure if this will be a good thing if they did. It would help balance the siege special but would also give a big disadvantage to fleets not equipped them.

Actually you are wrong about this. It's a 150% gain, not like affecting accuracy or evade where max would be 100%. There you are adding bonuses to remaining % of 100. With damage you would be adding 75% then adding 75% again, not 150%. Or even a straight 150% you would still get same bonus, no word as yet that this is multiplicative or additive bonus. Same with weapon reloads, you get 110% gain from autoloader etc. As for refit, yes, 17% is alot of weight if you are replacing something like HE3, but if you were running Explosive system then you actually get a weight gain of 2% weapon weight. But if you are replacing GS3 the weight would not be a factor, you would probably gain weight again. Im not doing the math but removing something that has total weight vs weapon weight will lower the weight considerably allowing you to use this special. That is also the thing that will help balance this out. If people remove GS3 to add this, yes they may be blowing thru bases faster but will be susceptible to more damage in the process.

Some guys are just wasting time and coins. Kix is more than happy to wait for videos on this special very early after the raid. If the videos are convincing enough in demonstrating the awesomeness of the new special, Kix will hope that everyone will refit/coin their fleets ASAP.
After that, they can release the counter in the next raid. End of story. You're all being sucked into a big scam and you're all sitting here arguing with each other who's right/wrong/smarter/coiner/freeloader.
Next raid or the following one, watch all the players who coined a refit scream how they've been sucker-punched. It's the same modus operandi since the beginning of this game.
Coin that special fast, you have about 2 months before they are countered.
I think it proves that I was right a year and a half ago and the release of the DN was going to cause massive problems in balancing future releases. At the time I mostly meant that it would create a massive spike in the power curve that all future prizes would have to match, which was also proved true, but this is another fine example. In and of itself Siege Targeting is reasonably within balance against things like enhanced warhead. Even combined with the new mortars. As much as I understand the complaints about them mortars had become a joke only used by people farming lowbies who weren't there to learn the lessons of the DNX's original months as king of the sea or very skilled players to hit mediocre players who went too far in dropping bombards and re-arranging their base and forgot those lessons.
ETA: Also noting, that the video shows the latter. Having turrets smack against the water across 2 water tiles isn't some magical new problem.
Back to my exact same spot: Tower west, sector 7. coords 3631,461
Also i put in here many angry notes that how they count splash
If splash range 18 is same as piranha range 18 ... why is damage area much larger ... and with specials range is 30 ... it blows stuff out 2 block away
So splash range is not diameter its radial ... when they say splash is 30 that really 60 from edge to edge ... damage area is bigger than maelstrom 5 range !
You cannot build bases where you have everything and get your inner island protected from sniping from back same time you are so long away that mortars wont take out weapons from there when in entry alley
I dont even care any more and thinking to put OP in front dock is only thing you need t play ... its coming so stupid game
