What shields to use on buildings?

Hey guys,

I was wondering what types of shields you prefer on your buildings? I'm using Plasma Torps and Plasmas Chargers as defense.
Should I mix different types of shields?

    Deflector shields for all the long range weapons, and explosive shields for everything else.

    Whatever you can build and use on there. Higher numbers works for protection! Would be nice if we had inner base guard as well. Right now just the outer guard only :(
