I was watching an interview with Wil Harbin. He stated that in 2013 there will be 8 new games launch by Kixeye. Currently there are two - Vega Conflict and Tome. Can we get an idea of what is to come?
I think they will release at least one more RTS and else in other interviews they also stated they will go and do new topics
You know if there plans for game sequels? Any chance we might see a Battle Pirates 2 coming in the future?
what would the need be? why make sequels?
Kixeye has no need to make sequels. They are not modeled that way. Call of Duty can make the same game 8 times and switch up the guns and everyone will be happy and pay their $60. Kixeye can just update them and make an entirely new feel like what they did to BYM.
I think the point of playing an RTS game is to be #1 and if they went and made a Vega Conflict 2 and Vega Conflict 1 became void I wouldn't bother playing #2

Besides FarmVille 2, I don't know of any online game that has a sequel...as stated, different to console games, online games don't need a new sequel. everything can get easily updated

At some point in an RTS game, the game mechanics themselves get old and the game eventually burns out. Battle Pirates is not too much different from a multi-player RTS where they can add expansion packs for a while will eventually have to move on to the next version with familiar but new game mechanics, rules, units and objectives to keep the game fresh.
