Please tell me they respawn...noob here.

    Yes, but they re spawn in locations your buildings are not at, forcing you to shuffle your base around.

    Its cold here...in the black...

    When they spawn they get bigger, little over 2 mil for rocks after the first

    Actually, you can just build your base in the middle and extend out to the asteroids from there using labs and such so that you don't have to move your base around ever.
    I don't play much anymore =(
