Hellfire : How to defend them

    You could make the HF fire at different times, because the Stinger splash might destroy all of the missiles in a shot.

    Run a couple of tanks with them to shoot the ground attack
    Hello everyone , i have unlock the hellfire since long lime but i still have the same problem .
    When i destroy a building few units or mortar team are deploy and even with 8 lvl 8 copter drones they hit my hellfire .
    My hell are lvl 7 and i use 6 on a platoon .
    So my question is How i can destroy easily the mortar team before they reach my hellfire .
    I use the normal hellfire .

    Custom Paladins are awesome for this role
    +range barrel
    +%damage to infantry shells
    +any engine but I like acceleration, if you have thorium pick it ;)
    +%reduced damage from ground units
    +any treads
    Quit at Cerberus 2 event, returned for Stormfront and quit until Thorium Dawn...

    laser is the best esspaicely the elite put one in a toon and it will work

    Acording me the best defence is simply the Elite hellfire due the Large blast radius .
    War Commander : Lvl 36

    Event Prizes :

     Gatling Truck + Elite Version , Attack Dog , Elite Riflemen + Elite Heavy gunner , Laser Tank , Drone Silo + Reapers , Elite Hellfire , Warhawx and Hellstorm  , Flak Tank .

    ues 6 ei;lte hellfires and one lt  or one mega and something elso like dogs or couluus

    Use 1 mega and 11erm as MT advances bait them with an erm

    i ues 6 eilte hellfires 1 eilte mega and cullous, when iam hitting buildins and the one iam hitting is almost dead and one beside it is pretty much dead i swich so i can kill those last standers befor they can walk away and come closeer to me and so on but  if u keep you're mega right beisde them or infront you're okay i have eilte so they are fast plus custum they are beast

    the best unit to defend the hellfire are some veteran erm they kill air in seconds and u can use many because they dont take much space in a platoon

    Keep a tank near the hellfires (paladin,challenger, mega)

    This is the correct answer, because ERM are cheap & fast to repair and can perform many roles such as:
    1) shoot down hellfire missiles from defending hellfire tanks & hellfire turrets
    2) Scout out mines as suicide units, keeping your hellfire safe
    3) Test the range of enemy units, turrets, and bunkers, so you know how close you can move your hellfires before they will be in danger
    4) Bait enemy ground units (especially tanks) away from your hellfire tanks, and into the range of your air units such as warhawks or cobras.
    5) Shoot down enemy air drones if you trigger the Drone Silo
    6) Draw the fire of last stand units such as mortar teams, giving your hellfires or tanks time to take them out before getting damaged.

    High-level Elite Riflemen pretty much kick all sorts of ****, as most players who have fought against them know.

    I hate the mortar team too but i use cobras over very good vs. Infantry and that you can have lots of them

    There are many ways to attack a base/rogue but you must use different techniques to save your hells from getting too much damage. See attached picture, make them fire separately/randomlynot simultaneously. If they fire simultaneously, the time between each round will take too long and last stand defenders can target you. To prevent this from happening, first move platoon to the side or backwards before aiming at your next target. Otherwise hells will move in a line, reach your target at the same time and fire simultaneously.

    So, this works fine for me. In one plat I use 7 E-hells and a few dogs to track mines. As air I use EWH. I rarely lose any hellfire.

    Do they also shoot down rocket barrage missiles?
