I was doing some new testing and thought id share the info here:
Well resource split from warehouses is working and tested. Hitting a reso storage just gives the 3 resources, hitting AM storage yeilds AM now. Now onto the split from what you haul away.
If you hit me and i have 10milli resources in my warehouses and you can hold 1million reso at x500% for even numbers. You can hold a tenth of what i have, so you will get a 10% cut from each of my resources. I have 6milli ore,3milli helium and 1milli zyth. You cargo at 500% will receive 600k ore, 300k helium and 100k zyth to fill at 1milli.
Only variable i havent tested is if you hit a resource generator what does that give and how does it affect the %age reso cuts. Will test and post.
Pretty sure RGs are separate from the pool of res. For example, I once hit a base with the wrong fleet so I picked off RGs while I waited for the 5 minutes to end (another reason we need a retreat button). When I left I had nearly nothing in res. But a few hours later (after bubble went) I flattened much of his important stuff and got a full 500% load. So I know that either the % is really low, or you merely haul away whatever is in the RGs at the time of the hit. Most likely the latter.
I was going to test some more stuff today, but the chimp at Kix didnt post they doing a maint/how long it will last/what they doing. I guess patch notes would be non existent also lol
This interests me none the less and Like to know more. I have been having this debate of what is better.. a few warehouse, or allot of warehouses.. Obviously allot of warehouses of having the advantage of forcing the attacker to crack each one open to get a portion of the rez that might be in there.. But it would be harder to get at just one or 2 warehouses, since those would more easy fit behind a wall of turrets.
one other thing I love to know is... if you have like a level 1 warehouse that gets hits.. does it pay out as much as a level 6 or level 8 warehouses that gets hits?
Cause if it don't, that is the extension cable everyone keeps begging for!
In BP, the haul from a warehouse is a fixed % regardless of level (subject to attacker cargo limits).
I am not very good at 'reading' storage levels in the heat of a raid, so I haven't been able to measure it here.
It 'seems' like the higher level storages give more loot, though.
In BP, the RGs give exactly what they happen to have harvested (subject to attacker cargo limits)
It appears to be the same here.
In BP, if you kill more than 500% capacity of storage AND kill some RGs, it seems to add up your total loot
(10% of storage per warehouse, 20% from OP) by the proportion of each stored + sum of RGs accumulated,
and THEN prorates everything down in proportion if you are over 500% of fleet cargo limit.
I had simply assumed the same was happening here.
- You may want to focus on the RGs if you are seeking one resource in particular.
The only thing I would like to see tested OR confirmed by KE is whether or not BIG dead storages create more loot than SMALL dead storages, and what the %loot actually is.
I have seen as much as 50% of total storage hauled away.
One fear I have is that the overall amount of loot you can get from me is dictated by the NUMBER of storages you kill, so that many small storages may be a BAD thing, and therefore should be avoided for use as 'power relays' like Ebola.

Well me and StolidWolf (THE BEAST) tested this tonight to put an end to the matter.
Storages will gives you there max capacity available if they fully killed. Level VII wh dead gives you 1.9milli loot, level V wh gives you 389k thats what your hauling away if its dead. Now in testing only once did we haul the max, other times it was up to -8k dunno what that margin is considering the fleets we using can haul way over.
So the gossip is like above, but to define what you carry away in percentage cuts i will show below:
Calculate the total reso you have in the 3 amounts.
Divide this amount, with the warehouses total capacity
Then divide that number into 100 which will give you your percentage cut.
Level V wh 389k capacity.
100% destroyed it gave 380038 loot.
My total resource before the hit was 19.748.424
19.748.424 / 380038 = 51.96
100 / 51.96 = 1.92%
So my Helium, ore and zyth got hit by a 2% drop.
Amount of warehouses you have doesnt matter its purely based on the capacity one holds. I will test armor on warehouse tomorrow but it shouldnt make any difference to lewtz unlocked, jsut take longer to unlock those lewtz.
Any other questions hit the topic up i will look when i can Cheers to StolidWolf also for tolerating my rantings lol
That does not quitemake sence to me.. I hit anti-matter storage with nothing in it.. and got nothing for hitting it..
But I do get that if I was to make a bunch of level one storage units and used them as extention cords for my mining.. if they got smashed.. the baddie would get maybe 5k in rez for each smashed unit if I am reading this right?

I dont know what you mean by this lol
If you have 0 anti matter and one of your AM storages are killed, the attacker will get nothing.
If you have a lvl5 Am storage with capacity 1.658,000 AM and it is fully destroyed and you have 1.658,000+ AM in stock, and the enemy fleet can hold this amount then its gone into the attackers hands.
There is literally only 1 or 2 more things to test here to nail everything down but what me and Stolid did covers most questions id say.
It seems that it might be based on the level of wh, I'm not completely sure. It just seems like I'm loosing less res in base tests when people come in from the side of my base that has lower level whs.
Armor seems to only add how long your storage lasts, not on whats taken
Only last thing to do is to test the priorities.
If you fleet can carry 5milli at 500%, and you kill 1 storage, 1 AM storage, 1 storage then another AM storage to push you to 8 milli reso unlocked by killing. I assume it fills you in order of the storage's you kill but will test that out
So if you hit a single WH that holds 666k and you have the room for it you don't take a % of it you just take the whole thing??? So in fact lots of tiny WH is better than few fatter ones???
The bridges holds res to though so my question is what gets filled up first and how is it spread between your base and the WH's?? Does it take your total res and say 50% goes to base, 50% goes to WH. Of the 50% that goes to WH it divides it equally among all the WH you have??(meaning yes using several WH's would help spread it out and make it easier to protect if you only suffer partial base hits) Which would effectively mean if you do not kill the bridge your siphoning off 50% at a time if you can hold all the WH res with each base hit...
But whats the % split between Bridge and Storage?
