    Boot the 4th rule if your dock can be sniped by SFB3 then you just have to change it if it is hittable your design just sucks. We all had to change when it came out if you have not changed yet then that is your own fault Swag seriously if people have a snipable dock they just need to move it or redesign why give people a handicap like that put the things you do not want in a safe spot that is how it always has been the hit number of times=1h bubble should just be removed it has become obsolete

    There is no place you can put a dock to protect it from a bunker buster. I'm actually skeptical of your claim that the dock can be placed somewhere that it can't be sniped too, using the proper weapons and specials. Take away the white-line box that restricts where I can build land, then we'll talk.

    Now can you add something to prevent morons from repeatedly just sitting inside of your base, basically holding you in base view mode until their (or their friend's) base fleet arrives? Being given the option to view map even while my base is under attack would be very nice, as I often have a fleet out to sea that is going to be pummeled on auto-pilot. My base can take care of itself - most of my fleets can't.

    I'm a new player and find the game very challenging without having any other players involved.
    Suffering delays to build times is part of the game;

    Games are supposed to be FUN. Calling something that isn't FUN "part of the game" doesn't make much sense.
    however, there things that you can do such as relocating to a sector that does not have as much base hitting

    Are you going to create non-PvP zones ?? That would be nice.
    or join an alliance where other players will take you under their wing.

    Once again, you are trying to steer me towards where YOU think the game is fun and how it should be played instead of what I think is fun and how I want to play the game.

    Rather than implementing these crazy percentages, why not just leave things the way they are with 2 exceptions ??

    1) You lose your bubble if you attack any player ships or bases.

    2) There is a cool down period after you attack someone where the only way you can be bubbled is by taking the damage. You can't "buddy bubble" for 24 hours (or whatever cool down period you think would work).


    These simple changes would allow those that don't want to PvP the ability to grow their bases/defenses without interference. It would prevent the hit and then hide guys.

    Get right of the 8th attack 8 times in four hours (but suffered less than 25% damage), the base will receive 1 hour of Damage Protection. Or get rid off in sector hitting because this is still going to allow them to have buddies bubbles. Or start banning them for buddies bubble that the only way they will stop. Its really pathetic when a lvl 32 or higher got to hide being a bubble just saying.

    An option to remove your bubble would be nice too. Right now that would just make it easier to buddy bubble, but I like to get hit, sometimes when someone over damages my buildings in a prep they accidently bubble me. I usually go hit a local base but, a cancel button would be nice.

    SWAG IS THIS WHERE YPU WANTED ME TO POST IT? First of all i would like to say this game has hooked me like no other facebook game.. i find my self playing for hours on end.. (well i used to ) . Lately i find my self logging in just out of habbit.. only to find myself logging out after a couple of whitescreens and a few lags later.

    Maybe the game has played out its natural course. Maybe the game cannot be fixed or improved upon. or maybe it can who knows until it happens... I know for a fact im not the only one who has lost the will to continue playing this game. LAG and Glitches are a main cause of this in my opinion.

    Has the game become boring the answer is yes.. What does KIXEYE plan todo about it? My guess is nothing at all.

    this may not make any sense to any one else and im sure my logic is flawed .. but by a show of hands who all is bored with battle pirates?

    maybe we can have the attack fleet button back while they hit the bases so its easier to kill the **** bubblers and get them coming out of bases the removal of this option has taken alot of fun out of the game so people tend not to resond to calls of sos OH DEAR SOME ONES **** ME

Also, if you attack another player’s fleets or base, the number of attacks made against you within the past four hours will be reset to zero and remove the bubble from your base (if already under Damage Protection).



    now if i read this right if you are bubbled and attack a flt you will lose your bubble. am i correct on this?

    Hey Swag.... I did not go thru all 99 pages of this, so if you already posted WHEN the damage protection changes are going to take place I missed it.....could you please update us on when the change may occur....I do not require an exact date.....how about a year, and a season....like "fall 2012, or summer 2013" something please, just so we can get some kind of an idea, so we can make preparations.

    Kixeye's definition of "soon" and my definition do not correspond... Still waiting to hit the large Drac bases by the mines, and that has been "coming soon" ever since I started playing, way back in the day when we had dark water to contend with. Thanks.

    You know whats going to happen, a lot of people are going to quit playing because you are essentially making it ok for the higher lvl players to bully people. You know that a lvl 27 player has no chance against a lvl 32 player. You are turning this into a pay to play game and I for one don't like the new changes. Guess there is nothing i can do about it though. I just think that with these new changes the game is becoming one sided. Pay or Perish.

    Blo - I think thats the idea now but the only think i cant understand is why Kixeye dont sort out the repeated glithes? I'm fed up of paying to repair my fleet due to blue, white and even black screens - I wont pay for anything that doesnt work, thats why i got rid of a Range Rover it nearly had as many glitches as this game. No fixie no payie no playie, N'est pas?

    I just quit playing, and deleted all info from, Pirates: Tides of Fortune. I was a level 19 and following directions but everytime I would begin to build a crew I would get killed. I am talking my crew of under 50 would be attacked by a player at a much higher level with 100 to 150 combat crew. And in that game once dead you got to pay to get them revived or buy new crew, there is no safety bubble nor hit bracket. I could see no way of ever winning or even being able to have fun, just cannonfodder for upper levels, so I pulled the plug. Do it here and me, and many more like me, even at level 31 are going to say stuff it. Then we will see how the high coiners whine when they have to come up with courage and fight a somewhat fair battle against eachother.

    if ur tired of getting leveled then redesign your base and quit whining. I keep getting hit by leve 33+ and im level 31 yet they dont get very far in my base...hm why is that? I dont waste my time here whining about getting leveled I instead look to see what I can change or improve and where. All it takes is some common sense and I do not even have an inside gurad fleet that keeps me in the good. It is all my base layout.

    We should be able to record the buddy bubbles and get these people suspended or banned, it needs to end. There are people in sector 284 that live under a buddy bubble. And yes Jack Sparrow, you know who you are.

    Then why don't you just move to another sector where there is a lot of insector hitting and high level coiners? that should take care of your problem..lol how about I record me scratching my ball sack ....would u settle for that?...lol

    Well I think this is a bad idea especially for the lower level bases. Every time I get out of a bubble I am attacked by a superior player 5 levels higher than me and wipes me out! I have been attempting to get the resources needed to build the defense I need. Now how can you??? With this new implementation??? An hour to get 20-30 mil of each resource to build/research? Right! How can this be done? I'd like to see it done!! It can't be done!!! So you decide to cater to the stronger players. Nice! Well, Hope you guys like loosing alot of players, because I'll tell you this, you'll lose alot of them because they cant build period, so why play? Thanks for the implementation. Great job. NOT!!!

    Proposed New Damage Protection Rules
    Under the new system, there will be four different instances (two different situations) in which a player’s base would receive Damage Protection:

    When a base has suffered 25% - 49% damage at the end of an attack, the base will receive 12 hours of Damage Protection.
    When a base has suffered 50% - 74% damage at the end of an attack, the base will receive 24 hours of Damage Protection.
    When a base has suffered 75% - 100% damage at the end of an attack, the base will receive 36 hours of Damage Protection.
    When a base has been attacked 8 times in four hours (but suffered less than 25% damage), the base will receive 1 hour of Damage Protection.

    Yep, I think KIXEYE has gone and messed things up pretty bad this time. First you will lose all the non-coiners, then the coiners will get bored and leave. I've seen it happen to other games where the coiners became the bullies because the small protections in place were taken away. And, I have played quite a few online games in the past. But thats ok, I have too many games I'm playing at the moment, so no sweat. I have payed a little into this game, but no more. In case you haven't noticed there are quite a few complaints, and it's not just about "protective bubbles". This game has more gliches than any game I play, and there is an incredible amount of lag. Maybe you should concentrate on fixing the gliches before you start "fixing" the game for coiners.....just saying.

    I agree 100% Adrian. they could have fixed this by doing just that. but NO!!!! Kixeye does it there way and the game get's messed up even more!!!!!

    Ok you have several thing you need to fix! 1. when a base is attacked the item damge should be quickly repair and the green bar should not show it repaired and then still having over two hours. I think you need to address this! Also I thing the bases should start repairing after the attach is done, not when you open the game to play. It seam stupid but it kinda no fun. maybe dont lewt base get attache unless you are activly playing. 2 game frezzing up whn you are about to finish off the enamey. this seam to be you chetting. need help? cheater dont win. 3 choppy play during battles fix it bbecuse it cuseing a lot of damage that would not happen

    This is the only way they can make it a pay to play game and not lose Facebook support. Facebook requires that game be free to play, which it is. They are just making it so that every aspect of the F2P part of it is so utter unbearable that the only way to survive is to spend coin.

    For all of the losers that are quoting "build a better base" You cant against a coiner. No base can survive 5 repeated attempts of DredX fleets, or 4 prep hits of large bunker busters or Orions and 5th hit the mop up.

    Maybe Kix should look into this isntead of taking away the damage protection that has been in place from the start. How many of these whiners dont think to make a "go fast" fleet that can get to a base and interrupt the bubbling process?? Umm few because that requires logic and tactics. We use the speed fleets for just this purpose and 9/10 of the time we catch the bubble fleet just fine.

    Getting a friendly bubble is just another tactic of the game. Maybe people should LEARN how to deal with that, but crying about it is easier, and the coiners have the ear of the company.

    Umm....Wasnt a problem until you made it possible!!! YOU made the long range missiles and Launch pads remember?? You even made a video SHOWING HOW TO DO IT!!! Now you want to PREVENT IT??? Last I knew a dock took longer than 1 hour to repair, so this point is utterly USELESS isnt it???


    With the current set of rules, players are able to indefinitely hide behind the damage protection bubble by using the “Buddy Bubble” exploit. Obviously, this is not the desired game experience, and a tweak to the rules can prevent it.

    Really Swag?? How about you go further and remove the ability to hide under bases. Hiding under a base removes the players ability to protect their base by making that fleet un-attack-able. Much like "buddy bubbles" are doing is it not by your logic??? Last I knew Battle Pirates wasnt just "base hitting" that there is Fleet to Fleet battles as well, but everything your doing to pacify the coiners is removing this option. You go along this road, you might just as well make it Base Pirates and remove the ships all together. Most of the pirate stories I remember are of rogue ships that hit other ships, plunder, and go on. MAYBE sack a coastal town(base hit) every now and then, but the majority is fleet to fleet.


    How about you get back to that aspect instead of cutting it out???

    This is SOOOO right on. Who is ANYONE else to say what I or anyone else thinks is "fun?" In our group, we don't allow buddy bubbles. But I personally don't care if I see someone else doing it. It's THEIR game account. They are entitled to have FUN playing the game. There are PLENTY of bases to hit, hit one that isn't bubbled. I have a lot of empathy for the lvl 27, 28 and 29 players, getting hit by the level 32, 33 and 34s. No way they can stand up to that. Something that is FAR WORSE than getting a friendly buble is a lvl 34 FARMING a level 29 every time his bubble drops. Maybe the guy was born in that sector, has friends there and doesn't want to move. Who is kixeye to tell him to leave? Why can''t the BULLY leave?

    I am level 33, and don't hit 27s unless they hit me first. Maybe Kixeye should look at the +/- 5 level thing instead of the buddy bubbles...you should NOT be able to hit a 29 if you are a 34, it's like Mike Tyson punching a toddler! I think +5 but -2 or 3 would be MUCH more fair.

    The only penalty for getting a buddy bubble should be for the jerks who hit a base, then run and get a bubble before there can be retaliation. Those guys are scum. So if you hit a base, you can't get a bubble for 24 hrs unless you are hit and take damage...that I could live with.

    But if you take away the friendly buble, you will stop guys in the mid-to-high 20s from ever growing, and they will quit buy the dozens. And we will have dead bases all over the place (BTW, how about u perma-bubble/delete all the dead bases, they are already starting to pile up from those that have quit due to all the glitches, lag, and impossible-unless-u-coin-heavy raids u guys run).

    If Kixeye doesn't want this to be a FREE game (required on Facebook), the get it the hell OFF FACEBOOK! Otherwise, leave those that wanna bubble for protection/growth the hell alone. You already do too much to cater to all the coiners. I know they make it possible to play, but so do all those that wanna play for free (be a pretty empty sector w/o those guys). So split up what u do 50/50....coiners/free players. Right now it's about 70/30 if u count the raids (which are pure coiner events if u wanna win the top prize, especially the typhoon raids). I remember when a non-coiner could do well in a raid...back when they were fun (now they feel like work)...back when we could hit salv for the Raids...I think they were called "Resource Raids" or something like that...they were fun. Even the Base Invaders could be fun because you and your friends could team up. Now, sadly, they are pure $$$$. No teamwork, not enough res. to make all the damage worthwhile. And the ONLY way to win a ship (the sub sucks, BTW) is to spend at least $50 during the raid on repairs, or much more than that on ships that will take less damage because you don't give us enough time between raids to build them w/o coining (I realize that's your goal, but you could at least TRY to be more subtle about it).

    Sorry about the book....but I have been holding all this in for a few months. I realize the only ones who will pay any attention to this are the trolls who wanna insult me. No one at kixeye gives a flying **** what I think; I only spend about $50/month. So I'm a nobody. But, like I said, there will be a lot of empty sectors if they soon don't have a cranialrectalotomy (an operation to remove their heads from their ****).

    PS: You make a FvF battle cause to lose a bubble, and I will quit. Immediatly. That's not a threat, that's a promise--my $50/month ain't a lot, but I'll be damned if I will lose a damage protection bubble for hiting a fleet!
