How to perfom repairs quickly after platoon update

My quick little tutorial for the newest update on how to reduce repair times.

-OK first of all enter your base, and click on the platoon button or your storage. Find and dis-ban ( Yes, that is correct I did say dis-ban) all your platoons that have damaged units.
-Once all damaged units are dis-banned from their platoons you will be ready to drastically reduce your repair time!!!
-OK now create a new platoon.
-Select one unit to add to this platoon for instance a Rhino tank. If the Rhino or whatever units you decided to start off with is not damaged then please keep adding units until you place one damaged unit in this "repair platoon". ( I myself prefer to keep all the same units in one platoon when doing this time saving repair like Rhinos with Rhinos.) This "repair platoon' is only temporary, and you may dis-ban it after all repairs are complete. You will want to make one new platoon for each different unit, and remember only one damaged unit in a repair platoon at a time.

-So here is the kicker that will reduce your build times so you can get back to the fight! Start the repair on the first repair platoon you have set up. When repair time remaining gets to 4:59 (four minutes and fifty-nine seconds) click free instant finish. Then start the next platoon in line to repair, and while that one is going manage the first "repair platoon" and add one more damaged units to the platoon. By doing this it cut my repair time for a totally dead Rhino by more than half. It takes me 8:24 (eight minutes and twenty-four seconds) to normally repair a dead Rhino, but by using this little trick you can minus the instant finish of 4:59 (four minutes and fifty-nine seconds) Which brings my repair time down to about 3:25 (three minutes and twenty-five seconds) for a Rhino. Which allows me to repair a platoon of 16 Rhinos in 57:20 (fifty-seven minutes and twenty seconds) versus waiting on the whole platoon to repair without the trick would take 2:17:?? (two hours seventeen minutes and few seconds).

If you are lazy this trick is not for you, but if you need to repair quicker to get some paybacks on that guy that just ambushed your platoons and stole your depot's then this might just be the edge you need! I know its not an instant repair miracle or nothing, but at least it can keep you with some fighting units when you need them most. Another thing you can incorporate into this trick is never let your units totally die. If you use this trick and say a Rhino has around 30% to 35% life left you should be just about able to free instant repair a bunch of them very quickly depending on how quick you are swapping a new damaged unit in, and pressing that free instant finish button!!! I know I have heard a lot of complaints about the new update to the platoons and repairing.

So hopefully this "repair platoon" trick will help everyone out, and Kixeye won't block it. Thank you for taking the time to read my first tutorial!!!

Just a tip, you might want to separate the text more. It'll make it more appealing and easier to read.

The repairs SHOULD automatically start as soon as you return to base or dissband to storage!!! I just had 3 plattons hit outside my base, after my wife wanted to leave for a half hour..Over 6hrs to repair each platton..that is 18 hours I would have to be online to repair which would be fine if it started on its own and actually repaired WHILE IN storage, but NOOOOO...since they only repair when I am connected When the game starts to become frustring and no longer fun, I am done, which I am about a day or two away from!!! I know...if I don't like it, PAY to PLAY, but hold on, I did put a few bucks into this game.

With rhinos this might work. But when you get to mega tanks, that 5 min free speed up is nothing. Also, you do not have to disband your platoons, you just have to remove all the damaged units from it.

The guide is fine my friend but like it has been suggested above. You dont need to put eveything in BOLD CAPS to be noticed. If something is easy to read then people will take the time to look and digest. If you cant edit the post yourself then ask a Moderator to do it for you. :)

This is a really basic trick; I do it all the time when I'm down on resources and units. Start the repair on either two rhinos or one paladin, go out and harvest 2 or 3 low level rogue bases, and return for free finish. Put 2 more damaged rhinos or one more damaged paladin in platoon, and repeat the process.

The problem is in the repair times, they either need to drastically shorten them or replace a que system and stop being greedy in a tough economy. To which I add, if this was several years ago instead of now. People would have money to spend on the repairs. But its not, the economy sux. And isnt recovering fast enough for people to afford paying to play.

Maybe they want you to play smarter and not damage all your units in one night, while earning a little extra cash. There are plenty of guides to increase your skill level. Hell, screen shot giants mine location and you'll never hit a mine again. That way you don't have to start wars over TINY depos and lose all your units :) good luck

There is a better way to do it that actually helps you repair twice as fast unlike the original post.

Remove your base defenders, put your dead units on your base to repair. The space on your base is nearly twice the amount you can hold in 1 platoon so you can repair twice as much while your sleeping / working.

Thats a shorter, easier to read, and better tip then the original post.

Yep this is a great post, and I'll go ahead and edit up that first post a tiny bit just to make it more readable.

The thing is, when an update happens in any game there is always going to be people that figure out how to make the most out of a new situation and get an edge. The feedback we get from players is an important part of the process, and I'm not discouraging constructive criticism, but in the future I hope to see players figuring out how to make the most out of new rules.

i will be a very easy target then and i have lots of enemies
but its a good idea for someone that attack rogues only and hide in his base

This is great for the lesser units with short repair times, as others have mentioned, but for the larger units, I just fill platoons with as many of my damaged units as possible.

Also, I wouldn't recommend using your base defender platoon for repairs. Not only would it leave your base vulnerable to attack, but your units as well.

Using credits for repairs for the whole game most definitely has a correlation with general lack of skill. For example, the most recent "coiner" attack on my base lost 24 megas, 6 warhawks, 3 raptors and a copter drone and gained the grand total of 1 storage (about 1 million metal).

whilst this works nicely for the lower lvls, not so much for the higher lvls, but whilst megas challengers are great, and we all aim to have them, why not start using pals/razors, these both outrange turrets quicker to repair and are not too bad pending on what your doing cut cost save time

Awesome tip, and I'll keep that in mind. But I still look forward for all platoons being automaticly queued up and repaired without having to do this. From what I have read this is bound to change sometime soon.

Do what he said disband all damaged plaotons but ur base can hold more than ur platoons. Thus you should put all ur damaged unit in ur base to replair them.

the base holds twice as much as platoons and you can repair more this way.

Only do this when you are not being hit or in a bubble. Good rule is if you under radar you wont get hit.
