The problem with platoon level repairs is when you have say 3 platoons with 2 damaged megas each, you will have to "melt down" the platoons, regroup the six damaged megas into a new platoon, repair the platoon, melt the repaired platoon down and redistribute the six repaired megas back to their original platoons or create 2 new platoons from the undamaged megas and a new platoon with the six damaged megas, in which case the persistent platoons are kind of useless or even counterproductive. If the 3 platoons are in different areas there will be a lot of rearranging required to be able to repair them all. As opposed to simply queuing up the repairs, this seems like a massive Rube Goldberg approach.
This will really increase the load on the servers vs. the simple solution of allowing a single repair queue as we have now.

RE: So don't damage ALL your platoons at once - I feel that only the tank spammers are pissed off about this new repair system. Well, too bad - now maybe it will force people to actually have to think about a strategy to destroy a base instead of throwing everything and the kitchen sink at it so it will DP. Now you can still do this, but be prepared to COIN repair and ask yourself is this player really worth it

Rubbish, I've been playing RTS's since the first War Craft and I do use strategy. I've been taking Giant depos and level 28+ rogue bases since I was level 19. I can still end up with several heavily damaged platoons. The advantage of having the repair all button is when I'm offline I can have units repairing so I have more time spent actually playing when I'm online.

Another step in the transformation of WC into BP on land. Platoons are now more like fleets. If you have 5 damaged ships, you have to pull your fleets apart and put the 5 damaged ones into a new fleet so you can repair them all in a queue.
Another nail in the coffin of the casual players. If you have 15 damaged units you will have to completely redo your platoons to minimize the number of platoons with damaged units so you can get them repaired with the minimum number of separate logons.
Or move on to another game that does doesn't make you into Repair Quartermaster Commander. Makes WC more like spreadsheet commander as you try to get you units all repaired.
Another side effect of the reduction in platoon size is to reduce the effectiveness of air defense units in defending ground units when deployed for battle. Instead of 500 spaces of air defense protecting 1500 spaces of ground troops, 500 spaces of air defense protect only 1000.
Does the new update mean that if you have damaged units in 5 different depos, you have to logon 5 times to start repairing each depot separately? Kind of kills the ability to repair in depos, eh?

Better idea would be dont release this update until you can que platoons. You made troops faster on the map but are going to kill game play by slowing down repair time. Way to screw what looked like a good update.
I have the ultimate question their are alot of us that didnt get new machines we were too small to compete for depo how are we gonna be able to get all the new equipment!!!!!!!!!! and before u ask u attack a small with a lvl 32 it wasnt fair to the rest of us their should be a cap on the amount of depos of a small resource higher lvls could have

But this game USED to have a very wonderful and awesome "repair system" in the form of very useful in game units called the Tech and the Medic. Then we got this repair "menu" that we have now. Clearing up your Ui issues very very very simple and easy. But you will have to stop twisting the players arms to pay real money for repairs and pulling are legs as to why you removed them from the game, and then return the Tech and Medic to their rightful place in the game. Ui issues solved. The end.

We plan to add the ability to customize your base and units: more defensive turret options, adding customizations to platoons, and creating new units that are 100% customizable.
I recently lost posetion of a depo. In the depo I had 1 rocket buggy, 7 gatling trucks, and 12 challengers. They never cane home but show as destroyed on battel log. Where are they?
I still remember the some whinings some players made when the world map came out :P
Can a platoon travel distances as long as they want to ? Like 500 hexs without a stop ?
Currently the travel limit is around 100hex for the platoons, after which the platoon will stop and I need to click the next spot they can go.
I like the changes for the most part. I think the game is headed in the right direction. I would like to see official alliance options that tag members so everyone knows who is in what alliance. It would also be nice to see vehicles that were part of the first event made available to everyone. It would be nice to see more base defense options and the ability to expand ones base by not just the typical size expansion, but to be able to make an additional base. this can be either by adding an adjoining base, or possibly satelite bases. Thank you for constantly working on improving the experience, and one last suggestion, paying closer attention to chat, and making it easier to report those that make the chat seriously vulgar, profane, and disgusting at times. Good jon and good luck and keep up the good work.

What about players who don't own any deposit or weak players who lost their depo while units get repaired. I think it was much saver to repair all units in your own base.
Furthermore I think the importance of the base will decreased.
I don't think it is very logic, the suicide bomber will become persistent

I'm still waiting for player vs player in this game. More interactive, you can attack a player inside his base and let him defend by controlling his own platoons inside. Sounds possible?

Sorry But not everyone has Gatling trucks!!! I'm lvl 26 and I'm one of the unfortunate ones that doesn't have Gatling trucks and lazer tanks!!!
