I like the idea of kixeye bringing in the ability to have allainces in the game rather than using/creating a fb group page. here are some features that I think would be great features to have in this idea
1. the ability to tag your name for free once you're accepted into an allaince
2. the ability to transport resources to allaince members
3. able to join/ be in 1 allaince group at a time.
4. adjust the comms chat so that you have the following settings: world chat, private chat, and group/allaince chat (each setting would have a different color text)
aside from the allaince idea it would be nice to be able to use chat in full screen mode.

I dont think this is such a great idea, imagine all ships are at sea.... Can even begin to imagine the lag that this will cause to all the players? OMG !!!

There are those of us that have spent hundreds of coin to play this game and the new updates, though graphically appealing, the functionality leaves much to be desired. I think some free coin to compensate for the inconveniences is in order, considering how much some of us have spent on this game.

how about fix the fooking game and quit adding new ****!!!! painting over the cracks dont fix them. as for the alliance attacking alliance thing- **** it back into the bin it sounds like a waste of time, life and money we are fighting our battles in the game the way we want to not your fooken way kix eye
this will be helpful. especially if we have to protect the lower players from getting farmed and to keep the game glitch of people leaving before the base battle ends to be able to target away from the combat before they get hit by another player.

before any improvements you should get the gliches and lag out of the game, what or who is responable for that? fire him and get someone who knows their job, kixeye fix the game, go back to the old version yall damm near have it right

think its a moneymachine 4 those who pay 4 repairing or upgrading. More 4 those paying 4 repairing.

This sounds cool and everything but you guys should be concentrating on the bugs before anything new. Many of the people in 433 are having trouble getting salvages and hitting bases. It wont let me attack salvage without clicking attack about 13 times and after that wont let me load up what my fleet didnt take on the attack. This is happening for several people.
Well the glitches are still happening, white screens are a bane. We need the attack button back, was the only thing that kept sector together. Made us all a team but now we are viewers and sit back and watch our friends die without help...friggin sad. I would also like an Intercept option, we could cut down attacking raiders as a team. Alliance is a good thing but sector is the all...can you get the alliance right ?...I hope so.
It will be a big effort to match up to games like Evony and go one step better for the kixeye group. I have my doubts, you release a comprehensive upgrade of BP and then go backwards LOL, time will tell good luck dev's.
Please let us defend non-alliance team members. I want to be able to defend a players base regardless of their alliance. And to have it be recorded in the base's battle log.
i think the player whos base is being defended can have a boot option so this would disengage the ship defending the base
I agree. Totally, this can also be as a defense/offense strategy. If a better fleet than what is defending you is coming...You disangage the fleet so the base and its defending fleet will be the one hit.

Truth told, I dislike this idea, but if it MUST come to pass, I'd propose the following limits in order to make this more fair, in particular for those who play the game Lone Wolf Style.
1. I'd suggest that someone can only defend a base they could normally hit (+/-5 from level), otherwise, a small base can basically become invulnerable because a small fleet can't stand a chance, and a fleet that could, can't hit the base (or target it to trigger the battle from a fleet hiding behind the base, as the big, smart players SURELY will).
2. I think that the defense fleet should have to be either A. approved by the base owner or B. A member of a formal Alliance (as set up within BP, via whatever system you design), otherwise someone can just follow you around defending bases you want to try to hit...
3. I don't think gunboats/any other spammable (insta-repair) boat should be eligible for Ally Defense... it just isn't fair for someone intelligent enough to have a second base (and there ARE still some of those out there, you'll never catch them all) to be able to just log on, spam gunboats, run away to kill time for 5 minutes, and have a spare to defend with while the others are being smashed through... someone could "ally defend" their own alt base with no limits, and no need to watch the battle, you can spam them faster than your enemy can kill them. meanwhile the enemy is dealing with load screens, fight result windows, etc.
4. also, fleets should not be able to hide behind bases, the new base design allows for complete concealment behind a base, and it is just plain not fair. (this is only slightly related to the topic, but I still think it bears mentioning.)
Please give us an "alliance chat" where we can talk with fellow alliance members via comms without the fear of being spied on. As it stands we have to use FB chat which slows down the game play somewhat. Maybe there could be an option on comms to select "sector" or "alliance" chat.

things already take far to long to execute on here. while most updates are good for the game. others you should think on in more detail eg latest update waste of time. loads of glitches for a pretty looking graphics. you say you are trying to attract new comers and make them stay. yes looks good sounds good then you see how complicated every thing is before you get to have some fun and in that space of time most lose interest and just go find an easier game to play. alliance wars sound good but defending others bases is yet another dumb move.
Not sure if it's a good idea to allow players to defend other bases. If you think about it... if a player of a given alliance saw an attack incoming to one of their member he would simply alert the others and a defense could easily be set up in no time making it almost impossible for the attacker to get inside. It is already hard enough to attack bases right now with groups of players trying to intercept fleets after a battle, but allowing players to defend eachother would make it almost impossible to get inside. Even sending gunboats fleets to defend would be enough to waste time to the point of making it impossible. Of course if an alliance worked together to attack a base that would make it possible, but lets be honest... no one is up to have a lot of fleets destroyed and gain hours (or days) of repair time just to get inside a base and get resources that wouldn't cover the repairs of all the fleets involved. If you introduce this feature you should at least decrease repair time dramaticly as well (it shold be lowered anyway, since it's ridiculously high for the bigger ships), otherwise no one will bother destroying a lot of fleets in an alliance battle just to get inside a single base. Another thing that would be wise in case this is happening is to only allow to defend someone within a players lvl range, just as it happens when it comes to attacking other players. Finaly there should be a limit to the number of fleets that can defend a base, otherwise there could be dozens (maybe even hundreds) of fleets defending which would make a single attack last long hours with the chance of never making it to the base (which would be ridiculous).
Of course if an alliance worked together to attack a base that would make it possible, but lets be honest... no one is up to have a lot of fleets destroyed and gain hours (or days) of repair time just to get inside a base and get resources that wouldn't cover the repairs of all the fleets involved./QUOTE]
Not to mention that there is NO reward in it for anyone BUT the guy who gets to do the actual base... Let me think... blow my ships up against SEVERAL people's ships, no possible reward... Nope, I'll just go salvage. You want to increase fleet to fleet? make it possible to intercept moving fleets. Don't increase ship to ship at the cost of any CHANCE of getting into a base... all that accomplishes is shifting your limp from the right leg to the left... you're still hobbling!

Fleets are not concealed at all in the radar. If we cannot look at the radar we deserve to lose a fleet. A tool is there to help us all out we just forget to use it. Second I agree with you about having a controlled environment for the +/- 5 range. It would be crazy to have a low level persons base being guarded with a high levels Dread fleet. That would ruin the game for sure.
